Mega Thx Davie ! I’m gonna try to tie some of these & fish them over the next couple weeks & hopefully they’ll hook me my first fish here in Coastal North Carolina.
Change out the scud for a hare's ear and you have my two favorite nymphs for Washington state, and the Pacific Northwest in general. Great ties and flies Davie. Thank you for all the great content.
Awesome Mr McPhail, Two beautiful flies. Here in America we will Celebrate on Thursday Thanksgiving and I just wanted to wish you a Great and Happy Thanksgiving, 😊 for all the time you give to this channel and to teaching us your awesome fly tying skills. Thank You Sir Davie.
Three excellent flys….I don’t have any black pheasant but have lots of Raven and Crow which I think could be reasonable substitutes? The fish will decide! Tight lines! 😊
Hi Jussy, I am hoping to get a chance to film the way I like to fish them as soon as the weather eventually settles down at one of the local fisheries.I'm glad you liked them.. All the very best Davie..
Davie could you whip up a Micro Streamer on a jig hook slotted tungsten beads?? It would be something different. Euro nymphing is very popular. Thanks. 🎣🧵👍
Thanks, Davie. These video demonstrations explain in a way that no book could equal. Much appreciated. .
Great stuff will tie these for Menteith at the weekend.

I really like these. First time I’ve seen someone tie the whole fly with copper wire
Great two patterns again sir your black pheasant tail one has done well for me and in other colours
Really nice patterns to tie, thanks
The beauty of simplicity, they both look great!

Just amazing flies
The Bug is interesting; I'd be tempted to put on a turn or two of partridge soft hackle. Yes, I know it's a shrimp! 👍😄
Thanks Davie for these two patterns

Lovely fly’s Davie and easy to tie. Thanks
Love these two patterns and the use of wire.
just tied these..can't wait to try them this weekend. thank you
Lovely patterns Davie 👍
Sweet simple nymphs davie
Great video as always
Every time I try tieing with wire like that the wire keeps breaking. I just got some tying wire from Semperfli and going to try again.
Davie, As always, thank you. I couldn't tell from the camera angle. Did you varnish the top of the PT thorax cover itself? Cheers,
Hi Shannon York,
No I don't varnish the top of the thorax though you could if you wanted and I'm glad you enjoyed the video..
All the very best Davie
Great flies Davie. Just out of interest what way do you fish these on lochs/fisheries?

All the very best Davie..
funny how it sometime boils down to the simple flies. Sawyer's PT is unstopable and your "Bug" looks like a killer. Thanks.
👌👍
👍💪
🔥👏👍🥂
Davie I don't have uv resin can I still use varnish.
Hi Loyalist 1407,
All I used to use was varnish as it's as good as the resin and far cheaper....
All the very best Davie
