Mad Mouse Review, Little Amerricka Herschell Wild Mouse | Better Than Modern Ones?

- Mad Mouse is a classic Herschell wild mouse coaster at Little Amerricka in Wisconsin. This rare attraction is made special by the vehicles, which have zero restraints and unique wheel assemblies that allow the nose of the car to extend over the edge of each turn. Does this make it better than modern mice?

I feel like your reviews are the best coaster reviews on TH-cam. Easily one of my favourite coaster TH-camr if not my favourite. I feel like you deserve more subs because your videos are awesome, and you always keep posting. Keep up the amazing work!
Wow, thanks!
@@CanobieCoaster of course!!
A very accurate review!
I used to ride the Mad Mouse at Enchanted Forest back in the 60s.
The “late turns” we’re it signature move.
But trusting the structural engineer was maybe the scariest aspect.
Riding it 20 times in 2-1/2 hours beat the hell out of one ride on Space Mountain.
I much prefer Space Mountain myself.
I rode the Mad Mouse in Indiana at the Enchanted Forest. Our elementary school - St Adalbert - based in Pilsen on 17th street had an annual trip for years. The nuns would play skee-ball all day. The Mad Mouse was packed with the "big kids" always. The Dodge 'Em cars and the Big Swing was also taken over by them too as they were located next to it. Great to see Mad Mouse is alive! Great vid
Thanks!
I remember riding Mad Mouse as a child at Enchanted Forest (RIP). Good memories. I'm glad to hear it's still running.
I'm glad they saved it.
Ehm.... while hitting the final brakes, the little girl at 5:06 smashed her face against the orange bar
Luckily it's padded!
That’s why the bar is a pool noodle lol
Thank the pool noodle.
I love how there’s just a pool noodle
On front of the car?
@@CanobieCoaster yep
2:52 LMAO SHE RLLY GAVE U THE STANK EYEEEE
Yeah
Lol
The anti-rollbacks do sound quite nice!
Yes
In Wisconsin there is a wooden coaster that Canobie Coaster would say:
This wood coaster was meant to be a family coaster, but this ride is weird. In many ways, it reminds me more of a wild mouse coaster than a traditional wood coaster. The tight turns offer sudden bursts of laterals that mercilessly throw you to the side. Then you pass over a bunny hill and camelback and return to the station with one of the most...
A) famous finales on any coaster.
B) infamous finales on any coaster.

I rode this coaster at a county fair in the late 1970's. Very interesting coaster.
Cool to see at a fair!
I've ridden the monster mouse and I think I rode this which replaced it at Playland in Vancouver. The replacement had wilder turns (one can still find a POV of it; we called it the "Wild Mouse") but I pined for the old one since I was too small to ride Coaster so I liked the airtime on the 1st drop of Monster Mouse. Thanks for the review!
I wish that was still there when I was at Playland.
i would imagine riding that but it hurts to think about it
It's not painful.
I don’t see it in the footage here, but on the day I visited the end of the final bunny hop, heading into the brake run, offered surprise EJECTOR air. Just when you think the coaster is about to end, you’re thrown suddenly and violently into the air. I wonder if other people here experienced that, because this was for me one of the most memorable things at Little Amerricka.
I love that little pop.
I've ridden a Monster Mouse model that was in Winnipeg in the mid-2000's and I loved it. All the unique quirks that you described here plus the two tummy tickling drops at the start made for a great ride. Our version had seat bets (though I'm not sure if the model required them, or the park just manually added them). Hopefully the Monster Mouse in Montana operates one day.
I like those two drops at the start. I liked the one at Quassy.
I had no idea what to expect, so I was surprised to see the cars and the lack of restraints when I walked up. It was a fun ride. I wanted to go again, but it had built up quite a line. It seemed to be quite popular there.
Wow you had much worse luck with crowds than me.
Rode the one at Quassy,, my sister always called it "The Death Trap" - name makes sense cuz of that feeling around the turns and the bruises you'd get afterwards xD
Monster Mouse definitely looked...interesting.
I do love the fUnKy design of the cars. The roller backs on Herschell & Miler's are very melodic. Yes! A great old classic can still scare the daylights out of you.
I love those cars.
How are the laterals on this compared to the more common wild mouse coasters
Stronger
"mad mouse is quite comfortable"
5:03 some kid hits their head on the bar xd
I missed that!
Wisconsin, what was the best coaster you've ridden there? Mad Mouse at Little Amerricka?
Zippin Pippin.
What is the worst wild mouse coaster you’ve ridden
Coast Rider at Knott's. Those shin guards are awful.
What do you think about the pacing on Mad Mouse at Little Amerricka?
It's fine for this type of ride.
You should do a six flags over Texas park review
I hope to make one in the next month.
What do you think about:
Mad Mouse at Little Amerricka
Wild Mouse at Dorney Park
Wild Mouse at Lagoon
Wild Mouse at Hersheypark
Fly at Canada's Wonderland
Coast Rider at Knott's Berry Farm
Coast Rider is painful. I'd ride the others (as long as they have short lines).
The amusement park drive in burned down, with the rides being scrapped. The rides weren’t burned but the screen did. Sucks the mouse couldn’t be saved
That stinks!
Haven't ridden one, but I've heard these try to kill you with how aggressive and fast they take the turns. Combine that with no restraints, and you have a recipe for potentially my favorite wild mouse (and I really like the Arrow mice quite a bit).
I love the lats.
I rode the one at lakemont once, can’t remember what model it was. It was my gateway to madmouse coasters
The Lakemont one was gone by the time I made it to that park.
Not as bad as range.
Not hard to do.
Nope. Don't like them. Too rough.
This one isn't rough for me.
