HI, great video. Hope you can help me for a similar issue. I have a 2014 Citroen DS3 1.6 L turbo petrol. When I turn the air con on, the compressor or the outside fan are not working and get warm air blowing through the vents. I have sacnned the ECU and get the following codes 0994 Aircon Compressor Clutch fault, 0997 Horn control fault, 040A Oil Gauge Fault and 05FF Unexpected re-initialisation fault coming from the BSI. I am not sure if they are all related or are separate faults. What can I test and check to identify the faults and fix? thank you.
Hi man, thank you for supporting me, first of all you have to fix the air compressor because it's not working due to clutch fail and it's not engaging, after that you have to check for freon leaks in the climatization sistem, after you get those to important parts fixed you can go ahead and see what other problems you have related to at not working. You have to take the car to a repair shop wich It's working with sistems of climatization, they will be able to do the checks with specialized tools 🙏
@HOWTODO0828 thank you. I have taken it to them and they couldn't really help me. They have said that it could be something else that's causing the compressor clutch fault and may not be a true code. Is there a way that I can manually trip the compressor to test it? They have confirmed it has gas. Also could the fan control module you replaced in this video be a fault that is stopping the compressor engaging or there is no relation between the fan working and the compressor turning on?
Very good video, thanks. When idling the car at night after a 400 km long drive the radiator fan started running at high speed for 10 min. It worked one time also during 5 min so why doesn't it keep working? How could it even start if the fan or resistor is bad? At night it was a little cold outdoors so I dont think the water temp sensor told the radiator fan to start or maybe it did? When you unplugged the water temp cable how was the radiator fan able to start when your resistor was broken? It's unlikely that both fan and resistor went bad? KingBole scanner says there is open or short circuit to both high and low speed of the radiator fan. C4 II (B7), 2013.
Hi, do you know if it's the same for the newer facelift model? Because I don't see the Resistor on the 'left' I only see a black Box on the Radiator mount, is it inside the box? Or a completely different circuit? Thank you!!!
How in the hell do you get the plastic cover of?? I have a 2011 1,6Vti c4, and I cant get it of? I need to losen the headlights to fight d the hidden bults, but thats not enough! 😢 do i need to get the hole bumper down?
Great viedo thanks. I have 508 SW 1.6 diesel, the AC does not blow cold air. I googled and it might be becouse the fan is not working (one fan for the radiator and AC as here). I check and yeah the fan is not runing, can this be the issue? Which fuse is for the fan? do you know the exact location? Thanks in advance
@@HOWTODO0828 You are awesome mate. When I disconnected the water temp sensor the fan went on. Now to my question, my air-conditioning is now stopped blowing cold air, and the fan is not starting when I start the AC, can this resistor be the problem for no cold air?
I have a 207 with the same problem. AC just warm surrounding air. When I turn on the A/C Button lights up green but the fan does not run, and the compressor clutch doesn’t activate the compressor. A service had been done including refillment of R134a Gas but no change. I took out the relay and it was completely rusted green and not more working. I bought a new one oem PSA and when I installed it I will answer you guys. The repair shop wanted to sell me a new compressor 🙈 😂 I some cases a faulty Coolant Thermostat can also be the culprit for a not working A/C Compressor 😎
You could check the resistor and also the sensor from the smaller pipe from the AC. One pipe should be hot to touch and one very cold. The sensor should be located somewhere on the hot pipe (smaller one) also check the AC compressor and see if it's getting power.
Hi. I have a similar problem of yours. My car is 2008 C4 Picasso and it have rear blower as well. While I was on traffic, the A/C stopped working. In any working mode, forward blowers does not blow any air. Neither cold nor hot function works. Rear blower still works but only cold (Citroen C4 Picasso does not have hot blow function at rear blowers). I searched for some similar problems on forums but could found only one and he says after replacing fan relay, problem solved. So what do you think my problem would be? What can I do to isolate problem?
I recommend you to replace the blower relay and it will probably fix your problem. Also don't forget to check the fuses because there it's a probability to find something burned related to AC blower
@@HOWTODO0828 Already checked related fuses, it seems all okay. After 10 minutes of aggressive driving, I stopped to check my car's fan but there was no rotation. (Im not sure 10mins is enough to bring radiator fan on and tbh I dont want overheat risk) When I turned A/C on , nothing changed. (No hot/cold at the front, while the rear blows cold). If the fault was caused by the blower relay, shouldn't the rear blowers also be not working? It seems to me that the problem with is that the fan does not rotate at all, which brings me closer to the possibility of fan relay. Am I wrong?
You're not wrong. Check if the motor which it's letting the air go through the vents it's not blocked. Probably it's stuck codes and that's why it's not pushing air through them
Hello i replaced the same relay but my issue persist. I have a 207 and my car is stuck on low speed fan mode only AC in traffic doesn't blow cold air. Only blows cold air on a highway? Im curious with the under dashboard relay location. But im leaning more rowards replacing the fan inself
I recommend you to replace the resistor from under the dashboard. That resistor it's controlling the fan speed. Of the resistor it's bad only one speed it's working.

Yes, this can fix your problem but you also have to check if the coolant temperature sensor is working correct, if it's not working correct it sends signal to the fans that the coolant it's hot even if it's not and that's why the fans are kicking in, they start up to cool the engine because that's what the sensor it's teeling them to do. Check those two things and your problem should be fixed.
@@HOWTODO0828 I messured the relay and it peeps but the value on the multimeter drops down to zero. It messures not a constant value. Does it mean that the relay is not good?
No really. The relay it's working but I'd does not provide proper vtage or power supply to activate or deactivate the fans.my recommendation it's to replace the relay from under the dashboard and the one from the radiator fans to get rid of any doubt.
@HOWTODO0828 thank you. There is an error code in odb reading: P0485 engine coolant blower motor power /earth circuit mailfunction. Where do I find these? Are they easy to find and change?
The error which you have it's relatad to the car relay which it's bad or with the fans which are bad. Replace the relays first. You should buy them from an auto repair shop or from autodoc if it's good for you.

If you cooland it's making bubbles when you open the cooland rezervor it's very possible that you have a problem with your water pump, or in the worse case you have a problem with your cilinder head gasket, also you could check with another fan from a junk yard and see if the can it's working or not, you could have a problem on your motherboard fan and that's why it's not starting when it should... Another thing you cand do it's to check all the fuses and see if you have something burned out. Hope it will help you 🙏
