@@theotherguy21 wait so they could’ve had a game in the arkhamverse about a yellow lantern war? that would’ve been cool. there’s so many ideas you could do with a post knight bruce jointing the justice league. such a shame
@alyx9191 yup they mention superman meeting batman for the first time after knight and batman says something about a yellow lantern war when the squad is looking for the plans to kill the jla
I'm just really confused by this game. We haven't even met most of these characters in this universe and now we kill them? Worse than that, the characters we see not being controlled at any point in the game are Wonder Woman and Flash. We have Batman who has four games of character development and endearment to the audience, but we never really get him, it's just the mind controlled version. Why isn't he one of the characters that isn't immediately controlled? It makes more sense, we know him in this universe, and it would've possibly allowed for a nice sendoff.
Then again with the data mine leaks *SPOILER* the league are still alive and brainiac made clones of all the controlled ones. It also explains why Wonder woman was the only one with a actually climactic death
@@Batman-ps4om no, they’re the real members but with the addition of the multiverse we’ll get to do the same exact fights again with the JL until they probably go to a timeline where the justice league aren’t brainwashed. At least I’m assuming they’re the real members since it’s never said that they are clones or even a different multiverse JL
If I’m remembering the audio files right, Deadshot is in the Asylum because people think that he is insane because they believe he thinks he is the white deadshot, and when the police check his fingerprints they find out he is, and then talks to [spoiler] about if the white deadshot is from an alternative reality.
I feel like I'm the only one who's not bothered by this game's existence nor it's major plotpoints like Batman being evil and mind controlled and dying. I mean like yeah, it's heartbreaking seeing Batman die and the way he did, but like I'm not offended by it. If anything I find it interesting. I feel that the way they kill him off with no real sendoff, how the Suicide Squad treated his death, makes the scene even more tragic, even more gutwrenching. Because people are right, he does deserve a better sendoff, but he didn't. He got shot in the face and left to rot on a random bench in Metropolis, which imo makes his death even more impactful. How he was just thrown away like that. It makes it hurt so much more. I find the Alternate Universe Joker thing to be fucking dumb though.
Traversal has been the only near 100% positive thing I've heard about this game, best one being C.Boom's, everything else is across the board. Story can be intriguing but it's also an insult to the Arkham series and writes out or through old story because "🤷♂" Gameplay is enjoyable for a bit but overall repetitive in nature with very few varied situations or enemies. Main characters are quippy and can be endearing (with rose tinted glasses imo) but it completely shits on the seriousness of the situation at the worst times and it naturally doesn't feel good. The only main lead I like is King Shark, because he is King Shark and he's actually extremely tolerable, but that one's more of a personal note than an overall review. And the worst thing I've heard on multiple occasions is how they've treated the Justice League. It just never feels right, and the disrespect to Batman's character was immense. Compared to that, Wonder Woman got some plush treatment from the story, even got a solemn goodbye from Quinn (despite them never meeting or having any strong relationship, not like WW would want that anyway.) I'm actually gonna compare her scenes to Flash's instead of commonly used Batman (it's fair to compare them though, as this should technically still be a "Batman game" if it's playing off of the Arkham series (mini spoilers btw)): Flash, almost if not the whole time he wasn't brainwashed wanted the villains to evacuate and protected them. Flash _literally_ gets pissed on, despite saving them earlier in the game. Even if the Justice League is evil this time around, they definitely could've handled their characters much better. I'm not going into detail mainly because I'm not gonna bother looking much further into this game, especially knowing Steam reviews are all sorts of skewed since they've been deleting reviews left and right, but yeah, I wouldn't recommend it for those who are relatively avid fans of DC or the Arkham series. The story's gonna upset you, likely, but if you want it I wouldn't stop you. If you prefer these types of looter-shooters and don't mind the somewhat lackadaisical end-of-the-world plot, I'd suggest trying it out yourself and seeing if you can get into it. Wouldn't recommend, though.
I love King Shark personally and the first quarter of the game is actually pretty decent but it falls off pretty hard imo, too repetitive and the story is pretty meh.
Doesn't really change the fact that it was a enormous disrespect to Flash, but... Boomerang didn't piss on his corpse. He went for it, got interrupted by Deadshot, then he and the rest complimented Boomerang, some yapping, boom Brainiac's ship is there
@@D4Bandit Alright, went and checked it out and you are correct! But still, it’s the thought that counts like you said. I must’ve gotten my memories of CB pissing earlier and Flash’s death scene mixed up. It was a very hectic few hours in-between then and after that for me lol
I really feel Rocksteady lost their touch with this game, and tried to rely on nostalgia for the Arkham series to make people love their game instead of making a good game. Ironically they were good at making a good and different game because that's how they made Arkham Asylum, what happened here? Edit: I mean you can like the game if you like it, for me you can say that this is Fortnite and I'm not gonna argue with you.
People who group this in with Fortnite either have never played Fortnite or just think every single shooter game is exactly the same. I still don't understand the lack of comparison to things like Destiny and Borderlands, a game this is actually similar to, but whatever. Unless they're thinking of Save the World, in which case their points are actually somewhat valid. Let's be real, though, you weren't referencing Save the World.
@@TheAtomsmith yeah I'm not referencing Save the World, I just don't like the 3rd person fast paced movement that is awfully a lot like Fortnite. My most complaints for SS is the story, gameplay goes second.
