    I think after three attempts to set the rack, if the opposing player is dissatisfied he should have to do it himself . . . and allow inspection by the opposing player. Better yet, require a ref to set them, no questions asked.

    Two contrasting but equally beautiful strokes.

    • @osirisgolad
      @osirisgolad 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Interesting, isn't it? Efren's stroke is completely unteachable and the result of learning to feel every little nuance and compensating for it intuitively over thousands of repetitions. Buddy's stroke is pretty much perfect if you want to get a new player started on the right foot and it looks like the thing is on rails and nothing is left to chance. Yet they both work fantastically and are aesthetically pleasing at the same time.

      @@godjhaka lol, the U.S. open? Efren won well over 100 Pro tournaments and like 70 something international titles. Efren has won more money than any other player. Once for like 6 or 7 years in a row. He was player of the decade from the U.S. BMA. You can't have "THE GOATS" lol. It is a contradiction. I love Earl as well and sure he won more but his attitude is why I don't like him as much. He was/is an amazing player tho

  • @godjhaka
    @godjhaka หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    @2:00 the reason they say this is because they only watch 8 and 9ball and watch ZERO billiards, balkline carom etc. What Efren does is not special in those games... in fact he sucks with cue ball control and maneuvering balls when you see real masters of the craft. But regardless of his skill, it wasn't enough to win more than 1 US Open or be the GOAT like SVB and Earl Strickland are.

      Hall is the GOAT. I know it's before your time, but no one would ever say Efren was better than Buddy. He's more than a legend, he helped teach many great players and give them tips like CJ Wiley for instance. He also invented the Clock System... efren hasn't invented anything or gave anything to the pool world, not even an Efren cue. Buddy has many books, gadgets, and teachings.

    I played Efren in 2017; the game was the best three out of five in nine ball. Of course he beat me and I enjoyed it. - - - If you are ever in the Huntsville Alabama area just stop by Steve's Cue and Grill - - - as you walk in you will see a picture of Efren and I on the left just outside the entrance of my cue repair shop - - - I'm there every week, if I'm not in my shop just walk up to the bar and look to your right - - - I am normally setting at the first table having coffee or unsweetened tea if I am not teaching someone how to shoot pool - - - if you shoot pool, since I own all the Diamond pool tables in the bar, the table time will be on me and I will let you break!

    This is disgraceful. I was talking to one of the house sticks at Griffs (a famous hustler ) about this match, I had seen it years ago. He told me that the rack thing was an old sharking technique along with talking to your opponent and moving when your in the line of sight before he shot . He knew Efren and told me Efren didn't get sharked. He was disgusted by a world level tournament that didn't even have a referee on a tv match. He just wanted to get out of there. You might also notice at 15:49 and 29:17 that the camera man got directly in Efren's line of sight on somewhat critical shots. Down low and close up. It was not unusual for a hustler to pay the camera man 50 dollars to do that. at what most pool players called the " hustlers ball " ( US Open ) back then. Even in the Philippines they have a ref. and a neutral person racking the balls.

All the YT shorts of EFren got people beliving he's the goat and better than he really is, when his only edge is playing balkline and other billiards games young... but if you put Efren up against the best of Billiards (like Raymond C.) he is always destroyed.

That means fruits and vegetables only... that's why humans have to cook meat and can't eat it raw naturally like a lion because you'll die of salmonella and other disease that don't affect real meat aka dead body eaters. You wouldn't be so sick, your pool game would be 100x better as your eyesight, stamina, and abilities all increase as your arteries are no longer clogged by animal fats. You'll be smarter and more sharper. That's why we've yet to see the best pool player of all time... That player will be a black vegan.
