it might sound weird but i actually like that you did this and it took more than one day and you actually changed your mind and switched out one of the boxes for other sized containers. Leaving that in and sharing it with us. cause lets be honest, most of us wanting to do this at home dont get it all done perfectly in one day haha
I used to buy bulk thinking I would be saving. However, I realized later on that most of them get stale and thrown away. Especially if you buy different boxes of snacks all at the same time. If you have a large family and have a lot of people visiting, I think it's ok. I have to admit, too, that whenever I go to big box stores like Costco, I always end up buying impulsively especially those packaged snacks, cookies, crackers, etc. which are not the healthiest , anyway. It also adds up too much and fills up my tiny pantry fast! I end up buying containers to house them and to make space look nice and pretty! After following some minimalism and frugal living videos, I was able to balance out everything and now I am more mindful of buying things.
The OXO containers are a great investment. I found mine at TJMax, Marshall’s, and Homegoods. I’ve had them for over 8 years and they are still in great shape.
I just watched a 37 minute video about pantry organization - and enjoyed it. My guess was 300 items btw. Thanks for taking the time to share. I needed to see someone using those containers before I make the leap. The turntables and those baskets you have your foil and plastic wraps in are awesome. Thanks!
Amazing job!! I'm always amazed how many snacks I see in these types of pantry videos. I cannot be trusted if I were to buy that many snacks. I would eat them all! 😁 I buy cookies and ice cream once in a blue moon. Great video!
Amazed at the needless criticism in some comments! If you don’t want the talking, turn your vol down! I expect to pick and choose from these videos, take what seems relevant to me, and know that others will take different ideas - that’s ok! Anyway, thanks Natalie for a great presentation - gave me lots to think about. I’ve been pondering effective tin storage for ages, and your containers where the lids lift up look the best idea I’ve seen yet - haven’t seen them here in NZ, but will be looking out for some. Thank you for sharing your experience - your explanation of how/ why you made the choices you did was really helpful.
This has some great ideas! I've learned that you can write on most plastic ( at least foodsaver bags, labels, pager protectors) with a sharpie permanent marker and wipe it off with alcohol. I've found it very helpful.
If you are into uniformity, it helps to buy those items by the case so you will have 9-12 of those jars (eventually). I only buy one brand of jam so saved those jars (for a long while) until I had enough to use for my spices. I have 60 spices so it took quite a while, but now they're all lined up on an IKEA Rascog cart and nice to use. When I'm running low I take my jar to the co-op for a refill.
Thanks so much for the inspiration! I watched this video then I purchased the labels, I got oxo containers and Flip Top containers 3 Tier Shelves for my canned items! 4 hours and my pantry looks great!!! Thanks again for getting me motivated
I’m a huge OXO fan, also. My pantry was done by The Container Store. Every space has a purpose. I take almost everything out of the package. We used to have empty or near empty boxes. Visually I would think we had food left just to realize that some boxes were empty. Now we have very little waste. A lot of work but well worth it. Looks great!!
So helpful & so real!! I’ve seen some that look good in pictures, but not real at all, unless you are a single woman that doesn’t cook! I got some great ideas!! Thank-you!!
Living close to the coast here in NC, you learn to use airtight containers for most stuff. Humidity and bugs will teach you to do so. I love using the OXO pop containers. I find a lot at thrift stores. When I do, I scoop them up. To use whenever I need them.
I also have a spreadsheet of pantry, refrigerator & freezer items. Also, I track cleaning, bathroom and paper supplies. I inventory all and keep a column noting desired amount to keep on hand. As I use the supplies I put how many I need to purchase to keep the desired level. This sure works well in case of illness, bad weather, or pandemic.
Thank you for sharing your ideas. My pantry was a coat closet so the apartment manager installed three deep shelves. I really really need to organize it. I'll be placing a shelves under the last shelf for other kitchen stuff. Thank you again. Keep on doing what you are doing. Your encouragement help me to stay focus. Now I am going to tackle the living room. If you have any suggestions I am all ears and eyes to see what advise you have. Many Blessings.
Thanks so much! Deep shelves do make things tricky, but the extra shelving unit and some baskets will help! You got this!! Imagine how you want you living room to feel and you can make it happen!
Just found you via insta and omg this pantry transformation was so awesome! You crushed it 🙌🏼. So smart to make an inventory and I love your tip about keeping things at eye level 💕
Girl I move on Monday starting from scratch. I will be stocking up for possible 2nd quarantine in the fall also will be posting a video on this subject hope I can find all the supplies I need.
This is an absolute amazing pantry something to definitely keep in mind when I go out and get my containers here in about a week also for the spices maybe if you get a canna riser that way you can put the spices that are behind back on it like a little shelf thing so it raises them up a little bit so you can see the spaces behind he did a fantastic job
Completely agree! Do check out my pantry organization video, where I make a mention of Lazy Susan for corner spaces! th-cam.com/video/n9c_vhuTQAI/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for or this video. Really nice how you setup your pantry. Gave me some great ideas! I have some oxo containers and bought a few of the oxo pop cookie jar versions as well
That was epic. Love the inspiration, I just moved into a much larger home than I was previously in and now have a pantry!!! Never had one before so these are great tips to incorporate in the coming months.
Thank you so much! Ooh new house- so exciting!!! Congrats! You are going to love tomorrow's video because I'm transforming this space with even more organization!
Your pantry looks B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L‼️. I would be proud to have a perfectly organized cubby as you do. You worked hard. But I hope it was worth it for you. So nice. I just want to open your pantry doors, pull up a chair and sit and look at it!
My anxiety gets high when i have too much for my space. Simplifing is the key for me. I try to simplify every single catigory in my house. I choose to minmalize condiments, cereal, spices etc. Especially when you have a family, seems everyone wants a different brand or item. The containers i choose are always wide mouth mason jars and usually its the 1/2 gallon size. Great size for bulk items for family and i can clean them easily. My whole hand can wash the inside. Storing and finding lids is a breeze since they are all the wide mouth size. Also stocking up a bit ends stressful trips to the store when life is busy. I only go to store twice a month. Storing items is more uniform so i can have a small variety of the same catigory which a family appreciates without the stress of keeping things clean and organized without food waste. Making the grocery list is also time saving since i can clearly see what i need in that catigory. Options for mason lids can be found on amazon including sealed, pintrest "pretty" if that is your goal.
I agree with you there! I definitely feel better when things are simplified. Having containers seems to help! I will have to check out those options for mason jar lids. Thanks for the tip!
Great job! An under shelf lighting to light up spices? Cut out nutritional value and/or instructions from box or bag and tap over and onto containers. I found rolling metal baskets for floor items.
Beautiful pantry & organization!! Hello, new to your channel & you had me with container talk! I am the SAME about containers, boxes, bags - I love all those things and I would rather spend there than clothes also. I’m definitely checking into the can good container that allows the lid to come off 🤯 That is so useful! I have the metal style you had on the floor, but the other allows a ton of other solutions.
Hi Natalie! I came over from After Tap's channel! Those are some awesome containers! You have such a nice size pantry, and I love the way you've organized your spices! I like to get rid of all packaging before storing things in my pantry. I do want to eventually get containers and bins to organize mine and you've given me all of the inspiration today. Those sticker labels are beautiful! Everything turned out amazing. Love that you can see what everything is and where everything is. You did an amazing job!
Could someone do a video addressing the different size OXO containers (maybe OXO would sponsor the video) and tell us what each size works for typical products. This would be a big help.
I used the chalk labels on my OXO. When a container becomes empty, I can wipe off the label, and fill it up with a new item...I also note the expiration date on the label.
You can also fond those containers in marshalls/tjmax. Thats where i get mine. I like it because you can get the size you need. I also like to spend my money on things like this. I love it.
I'm behind the times here, but we are currently doing a pantry reno. All the shelves are out and I'm storing up ideas on how to best use the space once we get it all back together again. The lazy susan idea is genius!
I use shelf liner on my fridge shelves. It’s easier to clean than the glass. I can also pull out and wash, if needed. I don’t like to keep fruits or veggies in the plastic bags, so in all my drawers I put the smaller sized dish drying pads to absorb moisture from fruits and veggies. You have some room in the front corner of your lazy susan to put at least one large bottle.
Thanks for sharing your ideas! Love all your ideas and suggestions. I’ll be sure to use them in my pantry. We just remodeled our kitchen and added a big butler pantry that is 15’x5’. Time to get organized!
I love the transformation. Suggestion: I use paprika 3 and it has a qr scanner for all your things. It keeps it loaded in the cloud and you have a list of what you have while at the grocery store.
Great job on the pantry, but just FYI... you can buy 1/2 gal Ball jars by the case (6) for at most around $12.00. For other size glass jars look to the canning jar section for those & several other sizes. They've been in short supply for at least the last year or so, but they're back for the most part. Look to hardware stores & WallyWorld for the best prices. They'll ALWAYS be more expensive 1 ar a time tho. Nice video!
In Europe we don't really have pantries..I would love one ..this is awesomely organised....but i gotta admit you guys have so much more treats than we do...I'd be the size of a house if I kept that many snacks at my home...I know from my US visits most households are the same...
What mascara do you use and white teeth whitener do you use? I’m so jealous 😍. Great video. I’m going to Costco to get a set of the OXO pop containers tomorrow!
Aww thank you! I use Maybelline "The Falsies" mascara- best stuff ever! I typically whiten with Crest White Strips, but I've been trying the gentler Lumineux brand and like that too!
This is my third time watching this video. I do hope you can answer a question for me. The large oxo containers you put your flour and sugar in, how large is it. I'm trying to find that size so I'd greatly appreciate if you can tell me the name of measurement lts of it. Thank you 😊
Hey Kathy! Thanks so much for watching! Yes, I can absolutely help. :) The flour and sugar are in the 4.4 qt "big square" (lid A) medium height container. I got them in the 8-piece baking set, but you can purchase them separately as well!
Awesome video!!! You're inspiring me so much!! I've redone my spices already!! I will start buying pantry organizing stuff next!! We are going to be getting a new house in the next couple of months and my pantry will start off looking amazing!! Thanks for all your amazing ideas!!
I take my food out of the boxes too. It gets super hot here in Arizona, and it’s also buggy here sometimes (yuck!), like during monsoon. Airtight containers are a game changer, especially for baking items, cereal, and pasta. Your pantry looks SO GOOD!
When I come home from the store as I unpack I say Alexa add pork chops to my freezer inventory. Add french onion soup to my pantry list. Etc. I go through the lists once a month to delete what I've used.
I finally realized a few years ago that bulk buying actually stresses me out a LOT!!!! It seemed counterintuitive, but once I stopped my stress level went down dramatically. Even during 2020 the only things bulk purchased were meat and toilet paper because they were hard to get. 🤪.
Honestly...you totally can tell people not to buy you things. Everyone I know, knows that I don't care for things so I usually get gift cards or cash and that works for me. I can spend it on things I need instead of some random thing that I don't need or want. I love the OXO containers. I haven't had any problems with mine so far. Your pantry looks good.
That's a good idea! I'm slowly working on one particular person who's giving love language is gifts. ;) I will often say out loud the things that I need so that they end up on the gift list, lol!
I enjoy watching your videos - the content is wonderful and so is the music! What/who are you playing? You have inspired me to clean out my pantry. I use to have a detailed inventory and my children knew they better use it when using something up. I've gotten away from that but definitely going back to it. Thank you!
Awesome job! So inspired! I'm waiting for my pantry door organization kit to be delivered from The Container Store website. My workplace has a breakroom where people bring leftover Halloween & Easter candy to share. Sometimes there's snack cakes, crackers, etc. that appear, and we joke that someone must have cleaned out their pantry. Haha!
Great video. It was very informative. When I buy frozen foods for my freezer I will take prouducts out of box because it takes up too much space. I will cut the name of product how to prepare and expiration dates. I will put them in freezer bags with food. This helps with space in freezer
You did an absolutely beautiful job1!, About those snacks...they are stressing you. You need to donate some of that or bring it to parties, school, gatherings....It is stressing you! and the snacks and the stress...NOT GOOD. That pantry AMAZING!! inspiring!!
Great job. Giving me the motivation to re-organize my pantry. Where did you get those Lazy Susan’s with the grips? This video also motivated me to subscribe!
im just starting. i found a video here and been hooked since and have been buying things to put my kitchen in order. i want clear. but found a teal color and design so thats what im going with teal, white, and rose gold if i find everything else in teal and rose gold.
Great video! Did you buy an accessory for your brown sugar container? It looks like there is something stuck to the inside of the lid, and I wonder if it's something to help keep the sugar from turning into a brick. Help! :)
Beth S. Yes! So it came with the set from Oxo and it’s a “brown sugar saver”. I honestly thought it was frivolous at first, but I put it in anyway. It works!! Keeps the brown sugar much softer. ☺️
Thanks! It the Copco brand. You can find them on Amazon and at Bed Bath and Beyond! There are two lengths and I believe I have a long and short one next to each other. :)
Stockpiling all containers I will need to start my pantry. Yours looks great! Noticed the U of O shirt so maybe you have BiMart which has about the best prices for canning jars. And ........... GO BEAVS!! (Couldn't resist)
it might sound weird but i actually like that you did this and it took more than one day and you actually changed your mind and switched out one of the boxes for other sized containers. Leaving that in and sharing it with us. cause lets be honest, most of us wanting to do this at home dont get it all done perfectly in one day haha
SonnySketch for sure! It takes time and you have to live with it for a little and adjust it! Thanks so much!
Awesome Video I dea, which I can relate to!
I used to buy bulk thinking I would be saving. However, I realized later on that most of them get stale and thrown away. Especially if you buy different boxes of snacks all at the same time. I can totally relate, when you said you buy containers instead of clothes!😂😂👌👌
Haha yes!!!

Hahaha thank you! We are slowly getting control of the snack situation!
It’s okay to not explain away your food choices❤️
Amazed at the needless criticism in some comments! If you don’t want the talking, turn your vol down! Thanks, Sue! I appreciate your support 💕💕 I’m so glad you found some ideas that will work for you!
The purpose of a pantry is to have your extra food, keep it full. Great organizational video.
All the containers that make for a HAPPY KITCHEN -- WORTH IT!
This has some great ideas! I've learned that you can write on most plastic ( at least foodsaver bags, labels, pager protectors) with a sharpie permanent marker and wipe it off with alcohol. I've found it very helpful.
Virginia B thank you!! So good to know!
just an idea...use empty glass jars instead of throwing them away, to store your baking stuff & grains. instead of plastic. works great.
Buji Knits I think I’ll start keeping them for storing smoothies in the freezer! Thanks for the tip!
If you are into uniformity, it helps to buy those items by the case so you will have 9-12 of those jars (eventually). I wish more companies would make their glass jars with standard canning jar lid sized.

I love your simple inventory idea.
You are refreshing and entertaining! Thank you for your processing and dedication to your projects. Superb job🌹🏆
Thank you so much!

That's awesome! Yes, I feel like this will help us waste less too. I like being able to see exactly what we have!
So helpful & so real!! I’ve seen some that look good in pictures, but not real at all, unless you are a single woman that doesn’t cook!
I got some great ideas!! Thank-you!!
Haha I know exactly what you mean! Thanks so much!
you're such an inspiring and blessed one🤓🌷🧡💕😘🫰😎🌈pls share more and keep healthy
I love how your pantry turned out and the thought process that went into it. Have a wonderful day!
Thanks so much! You too!
Living close to the coast here in NC, you learn to use airtight containers for most stuff. Humidity and bugs will teach you to do so. I love using the OXO pop containers. I find a lot at thrift stores. When I do, I scoop them up. To use whenever I need them.

That is so, so smart! I hope to get to that point soon!
Your snacking ideas with the cookies on the cake tray and trail mix are genius!!
Thank you!! Snacks are the best :)
I'm obsessed with containers too! Containers over clothes for sure! :)
Yes!!!
I like the new modern updates to your Pantry.
Thanks so much!

So glad you enjoyed it! I recently got some of the cookie jar ones too and I really like them too ☺️
You did an amazing job. I don't have a pantry but if I did I'd use this video to set it up. TFS

I also like cohesive uniform containers myself. It makes it look nice and I can see them easier.🌞
Love love the outcome of your organization! New friend here❤️
Thank you so much!
OMG! We use the same glass container for the rice, and also the same rice!
Great job! An under shelf lighting to light up spices? Cut out nutritional value and/or instructions from box or bag and tap over and onto containers. I found rolling metal baskets for floor items.

This has given inspiration on organizing my cupboards.
Thank you! I'm so glad it was helpful!
What vitamins do you take because my pantry would take weeks & it has only been 13 months since I moved in this house.
How are you liking the oxo containers? I keep seeing bad reviews for these newer thinner lids not being airtight.

I love it.

Hi! Great job!
What are your instant pot and crackpot sitting on on the floor? Thanks in advance!
Thank you so much for this collab Nat✨🙏🙏Your pantry is so beautiful and roomey!! Thank you for the inventory template, def using it!!

If you haven't tried Squish Gummies, you should! So good!

Hi I’m new to your channel, but wow your pantry looks amazing, I’m from the UK we don’t really have pantry’s, it’s always been my dream to have one.

Awesome video!!! You're inspiring me so much!! I've redone my spices already!! I will start buying pantry organizing stuff next!! We are going to be getting a new house in the next couple of months and my pantry will start off looking amazing!! Thanks for all your amazing ideas!!
Thank you! Hooray! It will feel so good to know you already have everything organized for the new house!
That was a lot of work. Awesome job.
Thanks for your video. Can you tell me what is the mat on the floor that your instapot and other small appliances on?
I take my food out of the boxes too. It gets super hot here in Arizona, and it’s also buggy here sometimes (yuck!), like during monsoon. Airtight containers are a game changer, especially for baking items, cereal, and pasta. Your pantry looks SO GOOD!
Ooh I bet!! Thank you so much!
Love your Ideas thankyou so much. Just wish I had your pantry space Lol. The spice rack is A A Amazing.
When I come home from the store as I unpack I say Alexa add pork chops to my freezer inventory. Add french onion soup to my pantry list. Etc. I go through the lists once a month to delete what I've used.
Soooo smart! I love that idea!
I finally realized a few years ago that bulk buying actually stresses me out a LOT!!!! It seemed counterintuitive, but once I stopped my stress level went down dramatically. Even during 2020 the only things bulk purchased were meat and toilet paper because they were hard to get. 🤪.
I totally get that! Now that we live in NYC we buy groceries in a totally different way. It's nice!
Wow you have a lot of jars of spices and herbs. Do you use them all. I also write a list of what I have but also the use by date.
Most of them yes! Good idea!!
You could buy the herb and seasoning carousel at BBB place on your counter or place them in the drawer next to your stove, just an idea!
I wish Pop Tarts had the flavor on the label. Great job with snacks!
I write the flavor on the individual package with a Sharpie. Some bulk PopTarts come individually labeled. Wish all were individually labeled.
Thank you!
Thank you! I use Epidemic Sound for my music. :) Haha you have your kids trained well! They will be nice and organized too!
OK I am almost there to do this for our house! Almost!
Heather Kelly yay!!! It’s a process!
I like clear containers
You can also go to Dollar Tree and it has some amazing organizing stuff
Great idea! Love Dollar Tree!

Haha!
Amy Waller haha that’s actually a great way to use up food without it going to waste! We brought some stuff to a friends house!
Great video. It was very informative. When I buy frozen foods for my freezer I will take prouducts out of box because it takes up too much space. I will cut the name of product how to prepare and expiration dates. I will put them in freezer bags with food. This helps with space in freezer
That is a great idea! I've never hear of anyone doing that for the freezer, but that makes so much sense. Thanks for the great tip!
Thank you! Yay! They are the Copco 18" turn tables! I got them for the best price on Amazon. :)
im just starting. i found a video here and been hooked since and have been buying things to put my kitchen in order. i want clear. but found a teal color and design so thats what im going with teal, white, and rose gold if i find everything else in teal and rose gold.
Ooh that sounds like a beautiful color scheme!
@@ThisandNat yeah says together best place to be. Didnt want teql bc my business colors are teal, black and white
So glad I found your channel
Welcome! So glad you're here!
I’ve had decent look at Costco and Home Goods for my OXO. Just have to really check that the ones from Home Goods aren’t cracked!
Ashley Alvarez that’s great! Ooh I didn’t realize Costco had them. That’s great to know!
I wish my pantry was this size. I’m in need of redoing mine ASAP. I love the transformation.
I know... we're very blessed! Thank you!
Love your pantry!!!
Linda Evans thanks!
What were the containers for your crackers? I need those..
I use a blow dryer to make sure that the clean, washed jar are dry before adding my ingredients.
That’s a great idea!
Your spice rack looks amazing, where is that from?
Thanks! It the Copco brand. You can find them on Amazon and at Bed Bath and Beyond! There are two lengths and I believe I have a long and short one next to each other. :)
Thank you!!
Stockpiling all containers I will need to start my pantry. Yours looks great! Noticed the U of O shirt so maybe you have BiMart which has about the best prices for canning jars. And ........... GO BEAVS!! (Couldn't resist)
LOL!! My brother-in-law went to Oregon, but I think I have more UO gear than my own college. Yay! I'm excited that your getting your pantry ready!!
Thanks for the great ideas!! I just found your channel- keep up the good work!
I have glass jars with bamboo lids and acrylic bins to organize other item like can goods.
That sounds really pretty!!
Wow great job.👍
Nancy Knott thank you!
The half gallon mason jars are at Walmart. A 6 pack for 11.97 as of this summer
You have snacks in your pantry?!! I'm the type of person that would eat all the snacks I have the same or next day 😂
