I agree about a lot of foods getting stale in those storage containers. Sometimes I leave the food in the bag it came it and put the bag in the container. That helps with things like cereal so I don’t have to keep the box but the container helps keep the cereal fresh longer.
Losing power after a hurricane is the worst. I mean, other than losing your house, obviously. After Katrina, we lost power for four days, which was super hard because I live in South Florida, and our summers are no joke. We were sleeping basically naked on our tile floor, rolling back and forth when the tile heated up to cooler tile. Then we lost power for three weeks the following October after Wilma. That was more manageable because it wasn’t as hot. I’ve since moved to a house that is on the same grid as a hospital, and we haven’t lost power from a storm yet. Knock on wood.

I use Tupperware cereal containers and the modular sets for my flour, sugar, oatmeal, cornmeal, etc. Everything stays fresh and organized. I love your pantry!

So I have the Rubbermaid brilliance containers for my pantry plus for cereal and they work amazing no staleness. Now with the cereal containers I do keep them in the bag and then put the bag itself in the container, mostly because my kid switches cereal often and it saves on clean up.
My daughter has the LG like yours. They love it. It’s a counter depth so to me it doesn’t hold a lot of food. If you have an extra frig that would be fine.
Living in Houston most of my life…I thought I was use to Tropical Storms and Hurricanes. However, I feel like it’s been much hotter, the last couple of years. I lost power at 8:00 on Monday morning. Didn’t regain power until Thursday evening around 7:00 pm. Luckily my youngest daughter’s power was restored on Wednesday evening. We went over there and stayed until our power was restored/so thankful for her hospitality! I lost many large tree branches and even after trying to clean up-my yard-front, back and sides is a wreck! This is the fourth time I’ve lost power and third time I had to throw away food/ which is a pain and expensive, since May! Your home is Stunning! I definitely have pantry envy! Great video! I live in North Georgia. And we got some storms. But no hurricanes. But we live in the country and our power goes out all the time. Sometimes it’s just the tv and internet. And I become unhinged. I can’t handle it. I wish I had the shelves like you have. The shelves in my pantry are the wire ones. And my pantry is always a mess. My husband has no idea how to put anything back where he found it. We moved to Georgia five years ago. Because our oldest daughter and her family lived here. Now they are moving back to Ohio. So we will be the only ones left in Georgia. But that’s okay. I’m not going anywhere. I love your refrigerator. I want a French door one too. Maybe if ours goes out. The one we have came with the house.
