Got a Hammerhead II bronze, midnight blue dial. Best purchase of 2020. It has a feel to it, like it craves water, with a slightly irritated beat to it when it's back on land :-). It's heavy, but I wouldn't want it any other way. And Zelos' lume is just fantastic. I'm not particularly fond of the titanium collection they have, but the bronze line has a very unique feel to it.
Appealing! I've been wanting a bronze watch in my collection _and_ I've been wanting a Zelos. I think NH35 is perfect for this kind of watch ; with a more expensive movement I'd feel bad about knocking it about. It's not an _ideal_ time for me, because of other recent spending, but this one will be hard to pass up.
That dial looks amazing and totally agree about the effect you’ll get with the patina coming in, I own a titanium swordfish from Zelos and I’m thoroughly impressed with the quality and love wearing it. Yet to add a bronze to my collection and am severely tempted to try and get one of these 👍👍👍
Wow! I was thinking of getting Teal or MOP version, but damn, now that I see this beautiful orange dial I am strongly considering buying this one. Beautiful watch!
Thanks for sharing Peter, it would be interesting to see how it unfolds after 6 or 7 months of wearing it down the line. Wonder if that is in you plans to showcase its "evolution"? Hope you're having a great week. Keep 'em coming.
I saw the title and thought no! Peter wouldn’t get another Hamer Head! Well, I was surprised at how much better this review went versus the previous one. I have the Teal HH3 and been waiting awhile for the Bronze version. My only issue is picking the Meteorite or Orange! Both will get better with age!
Just pulled the trigger on this very colour way. Love the looks and and agree that this will age well. Great video as always Peter but you are bankrupting me!
I have a bronze watch Peter & to expedite the patina process, boil an egg, mash it, place it in a zip lock bag with the watch, strap off. Push the egg to a corner, kinda away from the watch. Leave for maybe 30 min or longer? You’ll see it patina! Rinse off watch, not egg, & don’t consume egg afterwards or watch!🤪🤣 Works a treat! Alternatively hang in the shower daily over a few days. Patina kicks in then as well! 👍🏻😎
Hi Peter, l cannot find fault with any of my Zelos watches, they have been an easy own. I have the Frost Hammerhead and it is a beauty. Spot on with the lume comment, it is very effective. My bronze Mako with the teal dial has about 2 years worth of patination and is all the better for it. Worth noting all of us who own bronze watches with rotating bezels should ensure they move them around periodically if not worn frequently as they will stick as they oxidize.
Zelos is an investment. Especially if you buy in early on new models. It's virtually guaranteed you can enjoy the watch and sell it for more than what you paid. At least break even. Fantastic brand...
Great vid as always Pete. I am tempted to get one of these but concerned of the big size as I've been into smaller watches. Pete, let me know if you flip this peice, I'm from melb :)
I have last years stainless steel burnt orange version on bracelet and the new Damascus meteorite on rubber strap. Both brilliant watches. Good review but I just don’t get your comment about bezel being difficult to grab on the stainless version. I don’t have any issue with either watch
Thanks Pete, always to see your opinion on a hyped up piece, after seeing your video just put the trigger on the Bronze Mete dial ✅ and now it’s all gone 😂
Good review as usual. I am not a lover of bronze watches, after owning three and flipping them. I really don't like that angular case, and I would consider it a punishment if I had to wear one, especially as it is the size of a Grand Father clock.
Big fan of the brand Zelos , have owned several over the years and still have 2 in my collection but yeah the HammerHead series just isn't for me (far too big for my skinny wrists) , owned a bronze Mako but sold it after a couple months as i wasn't feeling the bronze but it's something i might look too in the future again , great shots as always Pete
Excellent review Pete, always great to hear your perspective and thoughts. I happen to like the Hammerhead, as a matter of fact I have the stainless steel version of the Hammerhead 3 in burnt orange and I absolutely love it. I don't have anything in bronze and have been thinking about adding a piece to experience the patina process as it seems very unique and interesting. As for Zelos, I also have the Swordfish, and this too is an excellent watch. Zelos' craftsmanship, quality, and robustness are terrific. The challenge is to be able to buy them when they go on sale or restock as they sell like hot cakes. Oh, lastly I really like their new aluminum boxes... very cool. Both of mine came with their previous wooden boxes. Thank you again my friend for your review. Be well 👍
48.5mm lug to lug is very reasonable for a 44mm watch. Still, this particular Zelos is not my cup of tea either 😬 even though, I wouldn’t say no to that rare Damascus Steel like cased version, of this model, released a couple of years ago…very exotic looking.
I love the Hammerhead and enjoyed your "ugly duckling" take Peter. I have the same one in the bracelet SS version. I have around XXXVI Zelos and the Hammerhead was the one that started it all for me. Elshan doesn't make the menu selections easy.
Ugly duckling or swan, bronze means/is third at the end... 😋 Never a fan too, won't change now. Thanks Peter, be well mate, cheers. PS Getting cold down under, right? Been trying my shorts here... 🙃😉
All has been said about the great about the great quality and the equally great Zelos customer service. However, bronze watches aren't for me. The stainless steel version of this watch, espcially in that burnt orange colour wasn't half bad in my opinion.
I like it. I like chunky watches. And 44 mm is the minimum for me, 50 would be better. The bronze is probebly not for me, i like it shiny. I don't like the patina. I like it as a ugly duckling not as swan hahaha. With the nice fat bezel.
Another fake prize winner message using Peter Kotsa logo above. I report these to TH-cam and they remove them straight away, and as soon as I go back to the messages TH-cam put it back. I’ve reported loads of these and TH-cam continuously remove them and then put the same reported messages back… useless!
That’s not bad, but then I’m still happy with my tactical frog version 2 in aqua marine. Maybe car wax would slow down the patina? Yes, I use a light auto wax spray on my watches to help prevent scratches and it really shines the Stainless steel. Of course I spray the towel and not directly on the watches
Make this 42,titanium, miyota 9series. Introduce super minimal dials, matte black, all white indeces, one color lume. Boom u have an amazing 500-700usd watch.

Think it works better on a different colour dial perhaps? Another great review Peter.
So glad I caught this detailed video. Looking forward to purchasing the HH3 bronze on the release date May 6th.
Beautiful dial! The bronze case is nice too.
I absolutely love this colorway , the bronze and burnt orange works great. Im just not able to pull off the hammerhead.

Found a new example on Ebay and should arrive in a couple days. Really looking forward to this watch. Thanks for the excellent review
Glad you enjoyed it!..enjoy the watch when it arrives 👍

It’s actually the first bronze piece I’ve ever featured on the channel
It’s a beast 🔥

Im sure you will enjoy this especially at the intro price, cant go wrong 👍
Fantastic imagery and composition as usual Peter, not my style of watch but love what Zelos does!

Yeah I’ve heard that with bronze
Not sure how accurate that is though

I like the bronze right now. But should be interesting down the road. Ty!

Nice work as always Pete!
Thanks for watching Stephen

The stainless steel version had the bracelet which got in the way of my ‘fat’ fingers 😊
Sweet, I agree.... ugly duckling..... love to see what emerges..., thank you

Wow, its not even 24 hours yet and so many of these are sold out.
There are only 6 left of the burnt orange as well
Enjoy it
@@PeterKotsa thanks Pete you are absolutely champion 👍

Hard to fault this company as far as quality and value 👍
Zelos says that the new V3 bronze is only 13.5 mm thick. They’ve slimmed down quite a bit.
I love this piece. I think it's beautiful. Then again I love the architecture called "brutalism".
Yesssss, another review!
I think the teal coloration would be even more stunning.

It's a stunning watch but I'm burned out on bronze watches myself. I'll just stick with stainless steel. Great video Peter!
👍

Cold 🥶 indeed
As for bronze, better to be on the podium than finish last bro 😎 😂

Beautiful watch. Must be good if you cannot find any negatives for a watch that isn't your cup of tea.

My only disappointment is that the Zelos cases aren't also amplifiers. You could stick a JL Audio logo on that and I'd think it was a D class amp....
It looks like a crumpled can of soda
