Definitely want the iCarsoft MB V3.0 over the MB II. V3.0 is faster and it will autoscan and provide results without having to look at each control module separately.
Can you guide of what to do if I replaced a rackenpinion on awd c 300 2015 do I need to take the car after replacement to someone to code it pls and thank you?
Can the scanner make actuation of valves and pump air on Airmatic, or is reading only? I bought it already, but would be nice if I can operate Airmatic, that is what I have problem on my E class

Hello i have the m900 v2.0 scanner im trying to clear a transmission limp mode but it wont work on my 2000 mercedes e 320 there's not a option for w 210 what do you think, is there's a upgrade thank you
This scanner is GREAT for checking ACTUAL miles VS what the odometer says. Most shady car sellers only adjust the odometer not the ECU mileage.

Hi, will this scanner do adaptations on ESP control units like the YAW rate sensor? After replacing, it requires calibration
I think you need STAR to do that...
@@killerhertzmercedes I'm getting it tomorrow so will let you know. I have the ESP/ABS inoperational warning message plus Speedometer and Odometer NOT working.

@@ambientsounds1416 It had the same level of functionality as my Autel Diag Link so didn't keep it. Turns out my Yaw sensor was fine but the ABS control module was bad. Got a used one on eBay (plug and play) and problems went away
Can you transfer odometer /milage readings to a new cluster?
Only Mercedes STAR Diagnostic/Xentry system can do this.
Can this device clear an ECU to enable engine start on a MB with airbag deployment?
You will need to get it on a STAR diagnostic system for that im afraid.

and you have STATE:historic is it a permanent ? or not ?
or STATE: actual is it that one permanent ? or not ?

historic means it had that fault a while ago but doesnt have it anymore

You should be able to via the CR Max unit (check my review) - however they will of course return unless you fix what is causing the issue.
Will this scanner support older 1997 Mercedes Benz S420 (W140 Chassis). Is this model listed out of 56 available models? I understand you need to purchase 38 pin adapter to make it work. I bought iCarsoft MB II , but this scanner only supports my younger 2003 Mercedes Benz S430 (W220 Chassis)
A quick Google suggests it wont work with a W140 im afraid :(
it does work with w140 but you need the carsoft 38 pin adapter

So interesting these tools, but now any car selling person can clear fault codes just before you arrive for your test ride? What if i bring a device like this one and scan after any code was been cleared.. will any show up as cleared and is there a log to check? Are cleared codes gone from any diagnostic tool? That could make buying a used care even more tricky if the seller has bad intentions..

Yep. I myself considering buying this to take with me on a E350 hunt.. guessing I will 'Smart Scan' > then just click thru individual modules to see .. but guess it will just say 'no fault found'.

I have a 2014 E350 4Matic. Would you know of this device would clear codes for “pre-safe functions” error code. Thank you!
This will clear them, however if you don't address what causes it, it will return.

Mine only gives that code when it's frosty out. I think it is just the cameras can't see.
Hiya, my brake hold has recently stopped working along withstop start. I have changed the main battery. Result with stop start. No joy with brake hold. Any advise... Can I rest systems with this tool?
You need to diagnose what the actual issue is first, likely something with the Braking System.
Take it to a garage or scan it (if you have a tool) to find out what is going on.
Need to replace the aux battery, located in the trunk. It’s a smaller battery dedicated to brake hold system.

Yes it should do.
Would this machine give any kind of intake manifold errors?
Yes it should, it reads any errors reported to the car.

Afraid not
Complete failure on the Service Module on a 2015 Sprinter. Updated all the programs. Says my Vehicle does not support the scanner in the Service module. Scans well in the diagnostics module.

Only if the engine light has been triggered itself.
Will this do a A160 2001clutchless manual?
Yes, however check out my other video for the more advanced model.
Does anyone know if an icarsoft can pin point which component failed in a heating system? My car won't blow hot air and from what i know it could be a few things. Would icarsoft be able to detect which component failed?
You will need to get it on Star diagnosistic machine to find out exactly what is going on.

@@SR1Records Icarsoft will give you an error code of what the issue could be. However often this will related to multiple issues.

Yes, but if you don't fix what causes the issue it will return.
Can you download software for other makes of car
It works with any make. it's just that I'm a Mercedes channel which is why I focused on that. check out my other CR Max iCarsoft review.

Have you actually fixed the issue? clearing the code will be pointless unless the underlying issues being fixed otherwise the code or reappear again instantly
You have to manually search through each module to locate any possible fault code,... rather then the system showing any faults detected upfront?
When like you said you have 20+ modules to search, thats a bit of a negative if your havent pinpointed where any potential problems exist...
If you select the OBD Check menu, it displays the fault which is causing the Check Engine Light. However if you have multiple codes you can search manually through the various modules.

Well, thank you for clarifying that. I think i will buy this scanner now then, i was a little bit ify being unsure about the practicality of manually searching for codes, if this reader does that effectively then it seems to be pretty good value and a simple way to obtain the correct MB fault codes.

@@TECHNOCHAD it tells you the code straight away but only if you have a check engine light on, otherwise you have to laboriously go through every module one at a time which is ridiculous. It needs a software update from the dev team to immediately show post scan if there are any errors.
@@tiggersmith7393 yeah nah im still trying to "experiment" with mine, it def needs logic user interface rejig. it seems to run quick test and have things found eventually. my main need for it was to make sure codes are accuratish enough, which it seems to be.

@@nickplenzick2602 so I did the transmission oil fluid replacement without a reader. I had a temp gun, from Lowe’s.
I filled the transmission with 5 liters, I disconnected the return line from the transmission cooler to the transmission. I had someone start the car while I was holding a container at the disconnected return line. The container was one of the transmission oil bottles, so I was draining 1 liter,stop the engine, pump 1 liter of clean fluid back in. I did this process several time( 4 times) until only clean fluid would come out from the cooler. This way I flushed the torque converter and cooler. You know you have the correct amount of fluid, the transmission is warm, when removing the plug there is just a small streak. If there nothing coming out, you need to add more. If it pours out on a solid steady stream than you have too much.

@@nickplenzick2602 right after the torque converter. I would drive the car around a bit because the transmission takes time to get warm. I prefer driving it instead of putting in drive/reverse and have my foot on the brake. That’s not good at all. I put my car in P even at driverhru’s

Can this get you out of limp mode?
It can clear the code, but it wont fix what is causing the issue. address the issue or it will keep occuring.
@@killerhertzmercedes Thank you for answering my question. I have an SLK 55 that went on hard limp mode after the battery drained. I disconnected it and charged it up and the car still had check engine light on and still in limp mode. I took it to an indy and all they did was to clear the codes and that took the car out of limp mode. I just don’t want to keep getting my car towed to the the shop every time I need a new battery just to get the car out of limp mode. Anyway I appreciate your answer.

No... why would you want to? how would you know when it needs topping up?
I cleaned my adblue and did a stage 1.5 tune the best money spent
Worked once now dont clear faluts
unless you fix the cause of the faults, they will of course reappear.
