I liked the discussion regarding the true value of chasing status.
Also weighing the value of using points for a bougie hotel stay versus a first class ticket … Thank you!

Great discussion and points of view since they were different. I am just starting out. Just got my sapphire reserve card and want to make sure I use points to the best I can.

Another great video with lots of tips for beginners. But I’d rather take positioning flight to fly better airlines than take crappy airlines like discover. Let’s not glorify ordinary airlines and experiences. Also, agree with Jess on many topics discussed especially Qatar Qsuite being the BEST business class (way ahead of all others).

I think it just depends on preference. I had the option to take a positioning flight to LAX to fly KLM, but it was going to be a day later so I would arrive in Europe 2 days later. Given the choice between getting a better airline for the flight or missing out on a day of my Park Hyatt Paris reservation, I definitely did NOT want to miss out on any days of my hotel reservation. Discover Airlines was definitely not glorious, but it was convenient and the preferred option vs. losing out on 2 days of the Europe trip.

    Loved the episode!
I was delayed over 6 hours on an Alaska flight I booked with 25,000 points. Two days later they gave me $250 in airline credit without me filling anything. Was this a good deal?
    Thanks!

if it was zero effort to get them to pay that, I'd call it a win!

I have Hyatt points that I will never use. Can I convert them to Marriott points?

      Lol. no.

no, Hyatt points do not convert to Marriott (and if they did, the value would be cut into about 1/3 or less)

are you already maxing out your referral links? Most of the affiliate programs will look for 2 things
      1. your current channel that has consistent content about points, credit cards, etc.
      2. some kind of traffic metric for how many people click on the articles, etc.
We also send out referral links of Points Accelerator students through our free credit card consult forms and on www.geobreezetravel.com/cards
Enrollment is currently closed, but here is the waitlist to be notified when we open back up for enrollment: www.geobreezetravel.com/waitlist
