As a kid there was a few years where my family was flying a specific international route 3 round trips per year for my parents works. We got to know the flight attendants and on one flight that we took on new years eve we got upgraded to business class. My dad was the only one with status but they "missprinted" status on my moms boarding pass so we had lounge access for the four of us. It was the first time flying business for three of us and we had a great experience. Both mine and my siblings tickets were always reward tickets so it's not like the airline was making so much off our flights but it was kept my family loyal and now both my parents have top tire status with that airline.

Interesting interview. Personally, I'm not interested in showing off at dinner parties...unless they're on a nice business flight!!
