Sportbike Track Gear how much should a mechanic charge for installation on a 07 cbr 600 rr or even an estimated price to install these on my 07 cbr 600 rr
I wish that was something we could answer but unfortunately have no idea. It is going to depend on their billable hours and how long they may quote this job to take. It could definitely be one to try yourself though! Thanks for watching. ~Aubrey
The SV650S riding position isn't as aggressive as a full-on super sport, however it still has you leaning over farther than a traditional set of handlebars.
For the SV 1000 I recommend HEL HBC7639 which is a longer hydraulic clutch line, and Motions Pro 04-0331 which is a 4 inch longer duel throttle cable. Makes everything nicer and easier.
thanks so much guys iv been wanting to get into ridding really bad but I had my heart set on a sport bike, but I wanted to ride longer, but ever one said that were im a tall guy and i wouldn't be able to ride long at all, but seeing this has made my day, thanks again
Most sportbikes aren't necessarily designed for long distance riding but with a couple small changes like the handle bar riser kit, you can easily put in some decent miles. Thanks for watching and your feedback! ~Aubrey
@@richardcerritelli9657 Yeah way more comfortable, less back pain can ride a bit longer now Helps to pair this with a good deal and maybe slightly lower rear sets / foot pegs
Please upload the extended version of this video, im having a bit of trouble with the cable routing and adjustments with the LSL kit that I bought from you. Thanks!
Sorry, this video is older and we do not have the raw footage from this install any longer. I do recall spending extra time on the cable routing to get the best end result. If you have specific questions please email us at service@sportbiketrackgear.com and I will get you pointed in the right direction. - Brian Van
I love lsl handlebar conversions, especially on bikes like the r6 and gsxr. I kind of laughed when I saw the sv650 because I have two of them and they're both naked models. Usually if you want the upright seating you go for the naked standard model rather than converting the S model over
Thank you for watching and your feedback. The owner already had the S model when they decided to make the change, so rather than selling and buying a different model, we did the install. ~Aubrey
I’m on the verge of ordering this for my CBR 929 but I’m worried about tank slap since this isn’t compatible with a steering damper. I currently use the GPR.
Is it possible to strip a bike down to its frame using a head lift stand as long as I keep the steering stem attached? I picked up a bike for the track that I'm planning on rebuilding. Just trying to picture how I will pull everything apart.. I want to avoid having to hang from a rafter or lift from under the headers.
I am currently installing the LSL on my 2004 SV650S and everything is going smoothly except my harness for the kill switch and emergency flashers is to short. I've tried working it and getting more slack but not enough available. The harness is banjoed when installed and there is about 3/4" of exposed handlebar. Any suggestions from Brian and team? Tim
Great job one the video. I do have a question, I have a SV650 naked, but looking to buy a SV650s like the one in the video, could you tell me the bars measurement for the bike your doing in the video. Reason is I need to know if its more than the naked handlebars ? Because I want to use the SV650s for some touring, and I have a not so good back, also I can't seem to find the info...Your input is very appreciated... yl
Thank you for watching and your feedback. This is not our bike and we no longer have it in our warehouse. If you send an email to Orders@sportbiketrackgear.com one of the sales guys can try to get those measurements from LSL for you. Thanks! ~Aubrey
could I put a set of protaper bars on that triple clamp? I have a 05 gsxr 600 and doing and I feel more comfortable doing wheelies with a mx style setup.inside of doing them with the race setup
As logs as the outer diameter of the bars at the clamp is the same you could if you choose to. It may require further modification which can only be determined once you begin the install. - Brian Van
Hi! One of my clip on's got bent and so I am just swapping them over for some second hand ones I bought. From watching the video looks super easy. Won't have to re route any cables and I also won't need to do anything with really with the triple clamp other than remove it and put it back on - (please correct me if I am wrong!) The thing I am worried about is the supporting the bike. I am doing it with standard tools. How can I support it? And where? I have a car jack I could use and another person to hold it steady?
You can remove the upper triple clamp when the bike is sitting on the side stand or center stand if you do not have a proper front stand. It will be a little tougher to get the top clamp back on but it can be done without too much trouble. Not a bad idea to have someone there to help you with the job. An extra set of hands will go a long way here. - Brian Van
Good video, appreciate the info. Thinking of doing this to my CBR F4I but I'm trying to find out the difference in riding position because every kit is different. I've read it's a 3/4" higher, but doesn't say how much forward it comes out. Please let me know if you can.
I am trying to and have searched high and low on the modifications required to install a ABM/ Renthal/LSL or Spiegler superbike conversion and what exactly has to be done with the E model, I realize windscreen and the fairing may require a modification. I am trying to find out how much and see actual conversions. I have posted over to ZX-9R.net but no luck so far, can Sport Track Gear offer any assistance:)
@@sportbiketrackgear thanks Van, I have learnt that without fairing modification including windscreen the best option is 3" clip on risers by Woodcraft or Apex, this requires the H fairing stay to be swapped out w and F's Y fairing stay, 2002/2003 model. Then longer brake and clutch line so that's my plan....
Love all your vids Bro! By any chance can you make a vid of a motorcycle maybe even a complete customer supersport like a R6, GSX1000, 750 anything with these style risers installed? I am very curious and its hard to find vids. I just want to see the super lean turned into a more upright. Thanks for all the vids

Hey Brian, I'm converting my CBR600RR into a streetfighter and I've bought this conversion kit from your store. I have 2 questions. The OEM internal weights don't fit in the new handlebar, what should I do with the bar ends and the possible vibration? And, the handlebar is pressing against the centre nut top rubber. Do I remove it? Cheers, Ives
installing this kit does transform the bike for sure, we have sold many kits over the years now. If you feel the foot pegs are also an issue you can change that a little from stock but not much. I would suggest looking at something like an FZ-09 or FZ-07 that offer more comfortable ergos out of the box. - Brian Van
E Unfortunately we are limited to the bikes we have available to us and we currently don't have an older model GSXR available. We will be working on the 2015 GSXR600 as part of our 2015 STG Project Bike Build and we will likely be installing a stabilizer of sorts on it. Thanks for watching! ~Aubrey
