Marianne is both Diva and Muse ... singer and Inspirer ... Beauty and Creator. Everything she touches has these qualities that's why she is always a joy to listen
I sat right next to Marianne at the Phoenix in Chelsea or shall I say she sat next to me. I think now that she was with Nick Cave who I didn't know and I didn't recognize her. She tried to speak to me but before I had time to respond I heard Nick say " leave him alone Marianne. Such a shame because I am the English poet Joey Joe McGuire and I would have loved the moment. I've left Chelsea now and I'm living in the tiny village of Gravir, on the Western Isles, still writing my stuff, listening to Marianne sing "Who will take my dreams away". Marianne, some dreams may be stolen or derailed but our best dreams linger until the end. Best wishes Marianne... your number one fan....Joey Joe Mcguire...Juste Joey! (Your best song)
Listening to her voice singing this song has that husky tone comparing to when she had just met mick so young and innocent with a voice singing as teares go by in 1965 so soft and sweet.but have to say i still love and admire her shes been through hell and back and at 76 years of age shes still around. godbless you marianne.your still my lucky girl🌷🙏🕊🤗✌✊👍💖💙🐦🦋💐🌻
as a little boy in the late 1960s I would listen to songs on the radio , i remember hearing angel voice, the angel singing was Marianne. such a beautiful lady. she so beautiful to listen too.
The song's lyric and instrumental arrangements are so somber and dystopian, I thought it would have been the proper theme for "Stephen King's The Stand" remake series.
I sat next to Marianne a couple of years ago and she tried to talk to me...the man with her stopped her....I did not realize it was her...not until I got home. Isn't life full of missed opportunities. I have so many songs that she could have sung...She has stood the test of difficult times and I now admire her and often listen to her songs...(the English poet "Joey Joe McGuire)
The dystopian tone of the song should've been adopted as the theme of the latest remake of "The Stand." It's the perfect song for a series about a world ending pandemic.
This is a great tribute to the late great Marianne Faithfull.❤
The first time I heard this song, 25 years ago, It blew me away. It stayed with me. Now more than ever. Thank you Marianne. Rest in Peace.
Beautiful song, R.I.P Marianne

RIP Beautiful one. Imagine you are singing with Angelo now. 💔
RIP Marianne Faithfull. Sadly another 1960 70s diva has left us. Youll be remembered for ballads like this one. RIP to Angelo Badalamenti as well 😢😢
