In its current state, I think it’s tricky in a similar way to the A-10, A-6, and A-7. The idea being that while one particular quality about the aircraft is really good at its BR, it is so significantly lacking in other areas that the BR is (or should be) dragged down in some way. In the case of subsonic ground pounders, their flight performance is abysmal but the weapons are strong. Because the flight performance is that bad, their weapons get massively under-tiered. In the case of the F-16 block 10, the flight performance is so good at a BR where flight performance comes second to weaponry, it’s over-tiered, if only slightly. In the game’s current state, the Block 10 needs to stay at 12.0. That said, with a lot of decompression, the F-16A does not belong at the same BR as the block 15 or block 20. It belongs 0.3 or 0.7BR levels lower, but only AFTER significant decompression.
We need decompression, For every game mode.. we can ignore sim since.. almost no one uses that.. instead focus on rb.. which is the majority... But yea increasing the br is literally.. Fixes every problem that not related to.. Bugs.. and etc.. and also switch the Block 15 and 10's Position.. which if I'm honest not a problem!

I think 11.7 would be reasonable but it make just stomp everything at 10.7. It doesn't matter much for GRB as 11.7 would be max anyway and the Pantsir is leagues better than it.
Completely lacking BVR at top tier is completely unacceptable. Even if missiles as unbalanced as R27ERs weren’t in the game. Gaijin neutered the F16 ridiculously hard for no reason.

I think adding BR 13 and moving current top tier to that would do a major blow to the current compression and make the mid tier jets playable and fun again.
As wt progresses into more modern aircraft EW packages will become more important than the jets manoeuvrability. If you can see something long before it sees you and get a solid firing solution then you no longer need to dog fight
At Br 11 , 11.3 and 11.7 EVERY macth is a uptier to BR 12 a change in the Br will change nothing at all in the MM , you will still face the same planes.
How do you record your gameplay? I've tried OBS and Shadowplay at max quality settings and all of the text on screen is still pixelated. I can guaruntee my PC is not the problem
After the recent nerf they kinda brought down the true use of AIM-9Ls at top tier they're still pretty powerful at 10.0 and 10.7. They still pull 30Gs and have a decent range same with the R-60Ms.

That’s arguably wrong (BVR doesn’t exist in war thunder btw, you’re still engaging aircraft with sparrows in WVR) The only thing the f-4 has over it are those fox-1s, other than that the f-16 is much better every where else
@@abidbmtt Since we if we do increase the BR to 13.0, there should be more breathing for F-4 Phantoms (so they should not encounter any 4ths gens since most of them will be on lower BRs).. if there is any f-4 that deserves to go to 12.0 it's the F-4S there doing just fine.. and beside they have no repair cost (Very cheap).. Litteraly no loss to the player and if not 12.0 then put it on 11.7
This is an aircraft for ground battles so US mains should just grind 2 aircrafts instead of 1, like the MiG-27, there's literally zero reasons to grind block 10 to the top if you only play ARB. I know that in reality they have slightly different specs, however in game they only differ in the avaliable loadouts (which you'll never use in ARB except the bombs I guess so you can grind it out of stock faster). There'll be tons of aircrafts with 12.3 MiG-29S, F-16 block-25 and etc. Top tier ARBs are pretty balanced atm I'd say. No changes needed.
The problem is that outside of 5km, the F-16A and the Netz are functionally useless. AIM9Ls can hardly touch jets at that range, much less the gun. Yes it has one of the best FMs, but when the ADF/MLU etc. exist as a flat upgrade to this? Whats the point of having them? 7Fs/Ms are able to be used in so many more situations than the 9L. They should move the MiG-29s and the SARH carrying F-16s up to 12.3, definitely don't move the A/Netz down. Or better yet, give the A/Netz a purpose for existing in a SARH world.
Well, the BR is very good system that is used very bad. You can toy a lot with it and actually get proper balance. They don't. Now, while you are right that 10.7s for example shouldn't face F-16s , i will add that most 10.7s are worse than 10.3s in terms of surviving in a battle against 11.7s anyway. Half 10.7s don't have CMs, nor all aspects. I'm sure i fare better in a SMT or F-8E than any of them or M3E even. It's a very weird BR to be honest. But if we go by the fact that 10.7s shouldn't face F-16A blk10, then F-4Es shouldn't face 12.0s either, first and foremost no PD, not even MTI , not even All-Aspect IRs. F-5E will go 10.7, yet F-5A will stay 11.0 (by what we know today). And if we consider 9.0s and 9.3s playing against R-60M/AIM-9L...along with good rear aspects like Magic I and AIM-9Gs....and CM equipped planes... While you have right, 10.7s shouldn't face F-16A blk 10, for them isn't worse than having to go against M2000C or MLD...and hell, them having BVR makes it even worse. All in all, they have to clean the house at some time. Currently, if you go see every jet BR has holes... Your comment about a 12.3 BR is absolutely right!!!!
the BR wouldnt matter if they simply introduced a wall at 11.0, atm only 0.3 BR seperates anything with a PD and 7Fs from something without PD and 7Fs (Kurnass, F4E, F4EJ ADTW, F4EJ) to me anything with PD and or 7Fs or above should not be facing potentially 10.3s (F4S and F4J prime examples) they utterly break the lower BRs where nothing has a PD or 7F or PD+7E2s equivalent. F16s BR would literally be a non issue if this wall existed keeping 11.0s away from 12.0s, the only jets that should be facing 12.0 are ANYTHING with PD and or 7Fs on top.

I just encourage everyone to switch to the DCS. The game is much better, The planes are much higher quality, and it’s not nearly as complicated to get into as you would think. After 1000 hours I accept at war thunder will never be better. The game will always possess many of these problems because these problems earn Gaijin money.
The problem with dcs is I can't get over a few things. Let me explain, the ground is completely flat textures and doesn't look very good at all, there is no progression the only progression you make is what you make it you will get better at the systems and more proficient but unless you spend money you can't get a new plane just by playing. You also can't play boats u think there are tanks in dcs but I've never seen anyone play them. Dcs does do planes right but that's it. Planes and the sky

Personally I prefer not having the progression. Unlocking top tier planes like an F-16 or Mig 29 only to not have flairs has always seemed so silly to me.
The block 50 version are the wild weasels, not the versions we have in the game. In the game, we have a nerfed af version to make russian fan boys feel better.

we need an option to turn off this aiming stuff when the target is locked, cause it's so painful to see that anyone is trying to aim with that
