Atrioc, I know being the CEO and founder of Nvidia is more like a hobby to you because of your impeccable skills. But what are your underlings going to think knowing you think about ads all day during work, especially that loser Brandon down in marketing. I honestly can’t believe you haven’t fired that guy yet, all he does is play Hitman and League all day
hey atrioc i’m a young teen still in school and some of your advice/stories have helped me figure out ways i’m gonna approach my future (still don’t a clue what i wanna do but hey do any of us really?) anyway thanks a lot :)
Red Bull has to go down as one of the greatest brands in all of marketing history. Like not only do they spend hundreds of millions of dollars on their own extreme sports and stunts teams just to promote their brand, they even get OTHER COMPANIES to sponsor them. They're basically making money by getting other companies to pay for sponsorships on their own self-sponsored promotions, it's like getting companies to buy ad space in your ads, it's nuts.
Redbulls advertising is so incredibly unique that they don't even need to show the drink, just the logo, like every stunt they've done, donuts in top of a skyscraper in an F1 car, driving an F1 car through vegas or something, they just do it so well and so extreme
I loved those geico ads when they were up on TH-cam. Once I left my house for college, pretty much all my media consumption was on TH-cam, so I could really tell those ads were made for that platform. Energizer has ads similarly built for TH-cam, where they start the story (but the story isn’t important) and the energizer bunny comes up and “powers up” the skip button to allow you to leave. I personally hate those ads but I always think of energizier in relation to batteries so.
A GREAT example of product as marketing is old iPod ads that promoted their white earbuds. At the time, no one made white earbuds really. So they silhouetted people dancing/enjoying music and lined the contrasting white earbuds through them and wove their brand that way too
Legit just ordered Doctor Squatch a few days ago. If only I knew I could use code DSCATRIOC to save 20% on my order, and support my favorite content creator Mr. Blevins. Very upset I did not use code DSCATRIOC to save 20% on my order of Dr. Squatch products. Please, do not make the same mistake I did!
Marketing Monday is one of the best weekly stream ideas. It's hilarious to watch and also interesting to learn about. Deserves so much more recognition
I remember almost 10 years ago a college course where the professor insisted lifestyle marketing was a thing of the past. And then you watch Atrioc talking about good commercials and it's basically 90% lifestyle marketing where the brand advertizes something it wants to be associated with rather than the product.
Maybe im just getting a romantisized impression from hearing Atriocs stories but being a marketer at a company just sounds really fun. You get to be creative and think of new ways to sell a (hopefully) cool product.
0:45 I'm taking a 'psychology of creativity' course rn and a lot of brainstorming methods are 'think of everything, no matter how stupid, and critique afterwards'. I can just imagine, while Taco Bell was thinking about how to get people to look at their Twitter someone was like "it'd be great if we could just turn off everyone else's socials" and someone was like "no..... u"
The Red Bull ad not having a can of Red Bull in it isnt that crazy tbh. They are arguably more widely known for extreme sporting events than anything else. Even so, the classic "Red Bull gives you wings." Ads rarely showed the drink. Just the logo
That Nike commercial was filmed in my hometown for the London Olympics. Their commercials were all filmed in different cities named London for the most part.
The jumpcut at 3:24 is actually Insane, no marketer would ever have the stones to do something like that other than Atrioc *SHEEEEEESH* when you make your next top 5 ads videos this better be a part of it
I would have never thought of the Stratos Project as an Ad. Here in Germany it was more of an event like a Rocket launch. Everybody was talking about it leading up, watched it and talked about it afterwards. So yeah it was a pretty effective Ad
i think netflix ads kinda do what the geico ads do. netflix ads are just the logo and that 5 second tune, then anything after it is the show advert, so you cant see what the show is if you skip immediately
The thing about the imessage blue bubbles is so funny. I had just gotten an android when my girlfriend and I started talking and so I set up a proxy server on my Mac to send blue bubble messages to her because I was embarrassed lmfao.
For #1, you might not realize it, but Nike Skateboarding shoes, specifically the dunks, have become a shoe that have always sold out, and sell for possibly hundreds, sometimes thousands second hand. There has not been a marketing decision better for the brand and reputation more than the sb dunks, and it all started from their adverts in 2001.
Love to see a sponsor. Get that bag big A. Also the content has been so fire recently. I don't even care much about marketing but yet every Tarketing Tuesday is super well done and interesting. Keep up the good work!
Stuff like Mac and apple or red bull drop ads are good because people went out of there way to watch them , making people choose to look at your product is better than making them look at it
I only buy red bull because they fund and support extreme sports and make things like a guy skydiving from orbit possible. Not a lot of companies out there that would dump money into that stuff.
The Nike skate ads are really well thought out. If you saw those as a skater, even if you don't wear Nike, you had to be on board with it bc it really well argued the unnecessary hate towards skaters
The only way you do ads after picking apart other ads on stream is with a certain level of finesse. Do a recap of your past ads please.Thank you for all the talking points I get to use, since no one around me knows who you are
For me, an ad I think about a lot is the one where Nike gave Casey Neistat a bunch of money and he just filmed himself going all over the world. It created an experience that stuck with me and that's one of the things that I heavily associate Nike with
BIG A MOVING UP IN THE WORLD ITS SPONSOR SUNDAY ON TARKETING TUESDAY

Amazing pfp
Burgzy has become more hardcore than I remember
You are the Thanos of the Atrioc cinematic universe.
YESSIR, WE BOUTA GET BOUGIE PRESENTS FROM UNCLE A THIS YEAR

Soap jokes are a woefully unexplored area of comedy. We deserve more soap based humor as a culture.

dog shampoo if you're based, DR squatch if you're a terminal sheesher

we all know Atrioc doesn't use Dr. Squatch because he only uses dog appliances.

Edit the title man, you mean Best 6 Ads. Can't forget the DrSquatch by Atrioc ad
Every time I think of that space jump I genuinely see the red bull logo clearly in my mind. Crazy
The Red bull ad made me think about all those GoPro Be a Hero ads. Now when people think of filming extreme sports, GoPro is #1 on their list

As a skater that Nike ad was amazing. Also they absolutely had an up hill battle to fight in skateboarding and now they are at the top.

Atrioc really said we could have a Marketing Monday today
I think red bull has a great marketing strategy. In my mind, Red Bull is basically synonymous with extreme sports.
Fr though the effect that the green bubble has is crazy
The red bull campain was also to test the suit he jumped down in.
