You're amazing I love watching these videos I learn so much about different glassware and other items to look for.
My favorite/geeking out find at Goodwill was a nutcracker from Germany with the original price tag of 240.00 and stamped (Steinbach) on the bottom. I got it for $8.00
To find out your silver wear some base make up on your hand and brush the silver over the make up if it leaves a black mark it's silver. Same goes for gold. If you don't want to do that take a jewelry cleaning cloth with you wipe the silver down it and again if it leaves a black mark it's silver. This is a crazy thing I learned from my high school Marketing teacher. Just a fun lesson. Thanks for your channel.

I keep a small black light flash light in my purse, there is a lot of "glowie" glass that is not " glowie," plus there is a lot of clear glass that is "glowie" that you are missing. I take out my black light and in one minute you can scan all the glass!
My mom had one of those wicker chickens in the mid-late 80s. Oh did that take me back ❤️

The bigger ones usually screw together so there easy to ship.

I wanted the straw hat in the basket section. I work at Berkeley Plantation in VA, we dress in colonial costumes and hats like that run between $60 and $100 for re-enactments. Although I couldn’t tell if that one was wearable, it seemed pretty good.
That Goodwill is so amazing. Clean, organized and full of treasures! It gives me a strong need to travel to Pennsylvania. I would go broke.

The green glass piece is Vaseline glass and can be very expensive, depending on the collector

The original Arkansas Bluebird of Happiness was created by Leo Ward at Terra Studios near Durham (Washington County). Since their introduction in 1982, over nine million bluebirds have been sold. Each bird is individually crafted from molten glass by artisans at Terra Studios and is signed and dated. The studio produces 100-125 bluebirds a day,. The furnace runs at 2,000 degrees at all times and is used to make all of the studio's glass products, including the Pink Bird of Hope and dragon's egg figurines. They turned off the furnace in 2019 because it burns natural gas and they felt it was not good for the environment. They are no longer making these.

Hi! I know this is probably an older video, I'm randomly watching and catching up. I learn so much, for when I go out into the wild. That hobbiest piece at 5:16--Why pass? Seems it is nice piece, probably a true one of a kind, and it was marked. I'm betting someone would love to know they have a TRUE 1 of a kind. Hobbyist to me implies not mass manufactured & made by an artist. Can anyone enlighten me? Is it because it isn't a "name brand"? That's what I like about it most; truly means its unique. I'd love to own that tray!

When it comes to judging an item for being a reproduction, you cannot judge it by shiny heads on the hardware. Phillips screw heads were invented in the 30's. The flat heads were used before then. Look at all the hardware and construction of an item. A good example of reproductions is looking at the mechanical banks being sold online.
But I’m guessing the heads of the screws wouldn’t be too “shiny” if they are nearly a 100 years old!!

The first GW in the video is in Emmittsburg, MD. I remember from yesterday's video when she was at the Emmittsburg Antique Mall, she mentioned she was going to the GW before she left town.

You could've always used that repro buggy in your stall or shop to display smalls and miscellaneous items.
Long veggie looks like Bok Choy. Popular Chinese veg. very healthy for women, (exp. another time 😆). I have Chinese family on one side, they pay a lot for glass veg and fruit of quality on trips home. Thet have glass blowers at Morano quality.
