Yeah, mines so small that they have 1 shelf for glass and pottery and it’s always picked over. We drive 2 hours to go thrifting

Nothing even close here. All of ours only have dirty, broken dollar store stuff and that's about it. Plus it always kinda smells.
I saw a cart going out in Restore filled with Longaberger dishes. I saw the worker still inboxing these pieces and I asked how much for all. I got 196 pieces for $150 because it was taking so long to unbox, inventory and tag. I have sold about half for $1600 so far starting in October. I had to part it out for each piece except salt shakers and sugar and creamer sets. I think it is worth parting it out.

I wept over the Rosenthal. Being raised in Germany, and my Oma collecting (and eventually giving to us) I appreciate the set, value and beauty. Thank you for at least splitting it up in a coffee service and dinner serving. Congrats on the great find!

House Parts I believe was an Atlanta based company that made replicas of basically house parts, both interior and exterior back in the 70s through the 90s. They used actual remnants, made molds from them and sold them to high-end interior designers and upscale garden centers. I would think that these are collectable as they were quality for the time.
My grumpy comment is about people who talk on their phones the entire time they’re in Goodwill. Happens all the time. It’s seems it’s almost always a person with a booming voice who seems to think they have to yell to be heard.

Last week in my local store I found stuff. Went back today to see if the miracle continued... spent $1 on a shower curtain liner. Exciting stuff.
Jocelyn, you passed by a valuable Andrew Wyeth print. It was right next to that red painting with the blue mat. It is called “Groundhog Day”, and it is depicts a window looking from inside out.

I would not want the coffee pot and cups and saucers! But I might want the dishes. Loved some of the cute Christmas stuff you saw. I just went to the Goodwill in Hanover but not much there.
Rosenthal - such a beautiful neutral pattern. and will make a lovely coffee set. I think the creamer with the plate maybe a gravy boat rather than a creamer. I noticed two other pitchers that were creamer sized on the shelf.

Found a antique slant front desk W/ book shelf- glass doors desk.for 22$ went back to buy it , I talked myself out of it .needs work, witch I can do ,but I would have to store it & need a place to refinish it. If it was not winter I could put it under my canopy in backyard. I had to walked away, but still thinking about this morning. I could make $ on it. I am telling myself save ur money for the international glass show in January.My husband has not been to a vintage glass show. He loves colored glass he is going to go nuts. He likes to keep it all. Meself always like the ornaments as they last longer and used mostly for decor. The other stuffs as used for either eating mostly or to store ingredients they tend to get broken faster so hardly buy them a lot. I love the plastic ones.

Millennials LOVE Disney. My daughter-in-law loves anything Mickey and Minnie and now with a new baby Winnie the Pooh. If I buy any of those Disney items the gift is joyfully received. Anything else not so much. LoL 🤣!
That china was gorgeous! I love its understated elegance! Although it's a shame to break up the set, how many customers would be willing to mortgage the house to cover what would likely be astronomical shipping?! Yikes! Only partly kidding on the mortgage thing! 🤣

It’s no big deal splitting up a set of China. Chances are if a reseller doesn’t buy it no one will. Hopefully another reseller comes along and buys the rest.
I break up sets all the time! These are objects and have no feelings. By piecing it out your helping someone else complete their set. It gives pieces new life and keeps them from getting destroyed. China is a dime a dozen these days and most people aren’t buying it.
I usually allow myself two to 3 sets of China at one time to piece out. Once sold I can buy more. Honestly I could just buy China a do very well. But it’s a pain to store and can be a pain to ship! I try to not put a bunch of pieces on at one time unless I’m ok shipping them together.
Some of my most thankful buyers are buyers who buy replacement China. Pieces that got broke, damaged. Or adding to complete Grandma’s set.
Pay no attention to those who get upset about breaking up sets. The pieces were originally sold separately at a store anyway. :) it’s best to get them to people who can use them rather than sitting on a shelf getting damaged

6:28 I have that exact set! I paid $2.00 for them. Sitting in my stash closet.
My OCD won't let me get past the dirty tissues in the bottom of the cart. Even before the global shutdown, that would have been a hard nope for me. I'll take wobbly wheels over a stranger's grody nose wipe any day of the week.
Also, I think the cigar box purse was pretty cool even if it never held cigars, and I'm with the folks who would have taken all or nothing on the dish set. You know what sells for you, though, and that's what matters in the end.

I would have bought all the Rosenthal and sold them individually if I was concerned about the set sitting for too long. As for shipping, pieces of a set could be sent in more than one box. That being said, you have to go with what you are comfortable with. You’ve come a long way doing that and we are glad you have brought us along for the ride.
