2:46 We don't give our schools enough funding for them to give their teachers a living wage, do you really think they'd spend what little money they do get on painting their lockers every year?
The objective of Golf is to "get ball in hole", but how to do this depends on the course. Often if you hit the ball head-on with full force, it will end up in a lake or forest. OR for a long straight course, a normal club won't have the force behind its swing to get the ball anywhere near the hole. To this end, different clubs are designed to do different things. One can let you hit the ball way further than you otherwise might, while one intentionally cuts how far the ball goes. Some add spin, allowing it to curve. And blah blah blah. It's like if in baseball you had a bat SPECIFICALLY designed to bunt with, or get a home-run, or hit curveballs... What any specific club does, idk. But I know the physics behind the different clubs...which is something I guess.
"Well it is 190 to the pin on a downhill lie with an elevated green. I'd hit it with a full 5, sir." "190" yards to the hole, or "pin" (so called because the flag looks like a pin on a map.) Most golfers use laser range finders now for precise distance to the pin, but that was kind of a new trend back when this movie came out. Usually you have to guess it by one of various ways of estimating the distance, either have familiarity with the course (part of the purpose of a caddy), or sometimes the water sprinkler heads have distances marked on them (but depends on the course). These distances are to the center of the green itself and NOT where the pin cup is actually located (usually about 3-4 locations on the green). This can change depending on the tournament, or they just get rotated so the course doesn't get stale to play time and time again by club members. You can tell the relative position from the center based on a smaller flag about midway down on the flagpole. This flag's position is changed with the pin position, so how far up or down on the midway position of the pole gives you the relative spot front to back, since depending on where you observe the flag, you might not know where the center of the green is relative to it. The lower it is to the ground, the closer the pin is to the FRONT of the green, and thus a shorter overall distance to the pin. "Downhill lie" means that your current ball position (or lie) is downhill from the green, or the close cut grass area where the hole is located. This usually means you have to use a more vertical face angled club to overcome the height disadvantage you have, rather than a shallow angle and hope you roll the ball. "Elevated green" means the surface of the green is more flat or plateau-like compared to the slope you are currently on. Again, disadvantageous for the same reason as above, but it also means that your ball will need more room to come to a complete stop. You want to short hit it, or hit a high angle club so the resulting first bounce takes a lot of the horizontal rolling energy out of the ball and you don't go sailing off of the end of the green and have to hit from taller grass again. "I'd hit it with a full 5" means to take a full swing with a 5 iron. Clubs are divided into 3-4 categories. The drivers/woods with a low angle and long shaft give you high leverage for long, flat distances (This is usually the first club you hit since the center of the face tends to be higher and you need to tee the ball up to hit it correctly). Irons are the most numerous in your golf bag, usually numbered 2 through 9. These are for intermediate distance shots on the middle of a hole until just before the green. As the number increases, the shaft length decreases and the angle of the club face increases (i.e., less leverage and more high angle as the number increases). Wedges are super high angle irons with the minimum shaft length (Shaft length is usually determined by someone's overall height). Usually there are two specific clubs in this category; sand wedge and pitching wedge. The sand wedge is used to get out of sand traps (which are usually close by the green), so they have a high angle face and very short shaft so you can use all of your power and get not a ton of distance since sand hits MUCH differently compared to grass. The pitching wedge is essentially a sand wedge made for using in roughs (the taller grass area immediately surrounding the green.) Last of course is the putter, used for precise rolling of the ball for the final hit(s) into the pin. Each iron is basically tailored for a specific distance, but you can short change your swing to get a different distance out of it, or angle the club face to artificially get a higher angle shot but with more distance (since the shaft is longer and thus you get more leverage). Golf is a game about human biomechanical consistency and a surprising amount of strategy. You get one time to hit the ball, so what club you hit is just as important as how you hit it, taking into consideration you know your position and the obstacles in the way.
7:52 yes, the Dog actually kinda matters. Because after HSM3 there's a "Fabulous Sharpay Adventure" (was that the title? I don't remember) that is considered the unofficial 4th HSM movie in some circles.

it was because they wrote the songs for the first movie before casting him and it wasn't in his vocal range so when they wrote the songs for the second movie they already knew he was gonna be in it so they wrote the songs in his vocal range
we had unsaturated blue lockers in my high school but the students could paint them and put stickers on them which was cool. Not everyone had one because it was a small school so there wasn't a huge need for a locker but it was still cool that they allowed the students to do that. (the school also heavily focused on arts rather than sports the only sport we had was color guard which was started by a student)
ive never seen all 3 but in the 3rd movie Troy has a Solo (I Think its the 3rd movie) and its AMAZING I know the song in my head, but i cant remember the name of it Edit: it was High school musical 3 the song was "Scream"
Regarding wanting lockers that ar colorful, at my high school they had red, blue, green, and purple lockers, one set for each grade and area of the school where the majority of your classes would be. Now, granted, they got used less and less because they gave us no time to stop at them between classes, especially if you had classes at opposite ends of the school, but at least they did something. I don’t know if your high school was older then mine but I would have graduated before you so I know it’s a thing they are more willing to do now.
I am kind of disappointed that you brushed over the gay mess that is "I don't dance" and the fact that ryan and chad had their outfits switched after it, but i also watched the movies like 20 times more than you and that's so easily missed.
I was 13 when the movie came out and it was something I had in common with the only friends I had. The only year I celebrated my birthday, one of them brought the CD of the 2nd movie and we played all the songs, it was fun. And I watched the last one in CINEMA ! It was really great to see that on the big screen.
Golf is actually pretty complicated despite what ppl tend to think. There's a bunch of different clubs, and each one the club face is at a different angle, meaning it will hit the ball to different heights and distances. In addition, hitting the ball properly and well is really difficult. A tiny tweak in your swing could send the ball in a totally different direction and distance.
8:59 This is how you play golf. Basically, you use the driver to go super long distances. That's the club with the super fat head.l There is the 5 iron, 6 iron, and 9 iron. You use them to go medium distances, and there is the putter. You use that to go short distances.
Vent about “Fabulous” : When I was like 8 my friend told me I was like the song “Fabulous” and I have been really self conscious since about the fact that my parents made a lot of money. I always felt guilty whenever we would go on vacations and I would see the price of everything, which was a lot of extremely unnecessary stress.
i played golf a little bit for a while so i dont know too much but i understand some very basics. Theres a lot of clubs so you can change per situation change. They are called Wood, Iron, Wedge and Putter. Wood are ones to hit the ball really far, Putters do the exact opposite and are used to tap the ball for more accuracy. Irons and Wedges are for hitting the ball over obstacles like Trees essecially each are build for a specific thing that can happen in golf preventing you from Hitting ball into Hole. I believe hes talking about hitting a ball up hill, so instead of having the ball roll up it they are hitting the ball over to the top of it using what looks like a wedge jhdkjsfsd
Golf answer: basically you have different clubs for different amounts of distance or if you want a curve? Air time? To get from the start to the green where you have to use the putt because grass! Is sensitive! UwU! Personally I only use like 4 of them max but there are limits to how many clubs you're allowed to take with you during an official match (it's 14)

Ik this is an old vid but; my first job was at a yacht club. They werent allowed to tip bc everything was charged to their account 😭 a handful were nice and insisted but we were technically not supposed to take it
8:50 I'm not exactly an expert at golf, I'd barely consider myself a novice, but as someone who spent all 4 years of high school on my school's golf team despite being TERRIBLE at the sport I do at least have a very basic understanding. I don't know exactly what Troy said but in golf you have roughly 10 - 15 clubs or so, maybe less depending on what you have, and each one is designed slightly different with different lofts, weights, etc. each ment for different situations depending on the hole and course. You also have to factor in different things like the elevation or slop of the ground, the wind speed and direction, how much force to put into your swing and the direction of the hole, where your ball landed etc. Basic you have to figure what club will get you to the green faster, predominantly your irons mid-hole, how much force to put into it, and where your ball is and the conditions you're currently in. There are also 5 different types of clubs each with their own purpose: your putter, your wedges, your irons, your woods, and your driver. You can't just use whatever whenever. Also Troy being Sharpay's Dad's caddie means that he has to recommend and help him make these decisions in order to help his client do their best on a hole, it's part of the job. And F.Y.I what they did with the whole "backboard" thing that is not a legal move. If you're playing with friends that's fine but that is an automatic stroke, the points that you need less of in a golf game. Golf is a nice game, but it does also have a lot of rules you need to adhere to, especially on the putting green. Side note never damage a putting green, if you're caught then you can get banned for that. A lot of work and money goes into them so country clubs and golf courses get understandably pissed if you damage them.
When Sharpay became a slasher villain and used high heels to get rid of everyone while singing Fabulous and Bop to the Top. Iconic.
Sharpay maybe the slasher villain, but she steals the show compared to the protagonists.

2:46 We don't give our schools enough funding for them to give their teachers a living wage, do you really think they'd spend what little money they do get on painting their lockers every year?
Bet On It is a certified banger.
Especially the amvs!!
That's pretty cool, thank you!
Did they not even acknowledge "I don't dance" :(

"Well it is 190 to the pin on a downhill lie with an elevated green. I'd hit it with a full 5, sir."
"190" yards to the hole, or "pin" (so called because the flag looks like a pin on a map.) Most golfers use laser range finders now for precise distance to the pin, but that was kind of a new trend back when this movie came out.
They always made sure we watch they movies cuz Disney had movie Fridays then Thursdays for some reason
7:52 yes, the Dog actually kinda matters. Because after HSM3 there's a "Fabulous Sharpay Adventure" (was that the title? I don't remember) that is considered the unofficial 4th HSM movie in some circles.
Lol in my highschool, our lockers were painted by the 12th grade art students as a final project. Almost all the lockers were beautiful, unique, and colourful and there was no way you could forget which one yer locker was
can't believe you didn't mention the sheer sexual tension between chad and ryan in "i dont dance"
im practically going on summer vacation in like 3 weeks cuz of Australian climate but its fun cuz its christmas which means i can hop into the pool at my aunts place after christmas lunch. Y'ALL NORTHER HEMISPHERE PEOPLE DONT GET TO EXPERIENCE HOW MUCH FUN AUSTRALIAN SUMMERS ARE IM SORRY THEY ARE THE BEST!! /nm
I watched this movie premiere with my cousin on the day it aired. We made a day of it and I have such fond memories of this movie. The best out of the three in my opinion.
17:56 and this is the song that got memed alot
Also also, there's a video of "Bet on it" but with the music of "Let it go" from frozen, it's hilarious!
There's also a Lin-Manuel Miranda video of him reenacting the song :3
Fun fact the song humuhumunukunukuapua'a and the other songs where Troy sings with Sharpey as duo were cut out of the movie in my state
"I can't make fun of the bad acting. They actually fixed that."😂
HSM2 is my favorite of the franchise from when I first saw it to now. It’s too iconic for anyone to dislike it
Didn't Zac Efron have a ghost singer because he was going through puberty or something like his voice was squeaky and cracking... I guess that would require singing lessons.
it was because they wrote the songs for the first movie before casting him and it wasn't in his vocal range so when they wrote the songs for the second movie they already knew he was gonna be in it so they wrote the songs in his vocal range
The second one is always gonna be my favorite out of all three the songs and Sharpay snapped with these songs 🥰👏👏👏😭💕💕
we had unsaturated blue lockers in my high school but the students could paint them and put stickers on them which was cool. Not everyone had one because it was a small school so there wasn't a huge need for a locker but it was still cool that they allowed the students to do that. (the school also heavily focused on arts rather than sports the only sport we had was color guard which was started by a student)
ive never seen all 3 but in the 3rd movie Troy has a Solo (I Think its the 3rd movie) and its AMAZING
I know the song in my head, but i cant remember the name of it
Edit: it was High school musical 3
the song was "Scream"
Regarding wanting lockers that ar colorful, at my high school they had red, blue, green, and purple lockers, one set for each grade and area of the school where the majority of your classes would be.
Now, granted, they got used less and less because they gave us no time to stop at them between classes, especially if you had classes at opposite ends of the school, but at least they did something. I don’t know if your high school was older then mine but I would have graduated before you so I know it’s a thing they are more willing to do now.
Highschool Musical so much nostalgia, what a beautiful movie to remember ❤
“Troy Bolton!? More like Troy Bolt-in my heart!”. Love your videos so much! 🎉
It is totally a crime that you have never seen high School musical 2 but it's good that you're watching it now for the channel
I would just like to brag that my school has rainbow lockers 😌✨
K cool Bai 😎✌️
(Awesome video!)
Why do all the lockers have to be grey/beige? Well because the schools are designed by the same people who designed the prisons.
I am kind of disappointed that you brushed over the gay mess that is "I don't dance" and the fact that ryan and chad had their outfits switched after it, but i also watched the movies like 20 times more than you and that's so easily missed.
i love your comedic timing
the dog was miley cyrus’s who also plays a cameo in the very last song (not at that part yet if you do comment on it)
6:01 this time stamp is for me :)
Edit: I am loving this HSM series your doing
170
And dammm your right😮 you’re making me rethink my whole childhood….😮
“ Das a big LEVEL “❤
12:25 there , I’m DIEING mAtE❤
my school had multicolor lockers. It was orange and rusty red and yellow, and other clumps were dirty blues and dirty pale greens
I was 13 when the movie came out and it was something I had in common with the only friends I had.
The only year I celebrated my birthday, one of them brought the CD of the 2nd movie and we played all the songs, it was fun.
And I watched the last one in CINEMA ! It was really great to see that on the big screen.
The lockers in my high school were maroon and white.
On bet on it, the behind the scenes literally showing the director coaching Zac Afron on the art of dramatic sand throwing lol
There is a movie about Sharpay and her dog 10/10
Negative the fact you ignored the ABSOLUTE tension in i don't dance is murdering me
Golf is actually pretty complicated despite what ppl tend to think. There's a bunch of different clubs, and each one the club face is at a different angle, meaning it will hit the ball to different heights and distances. In addition, hitting the ball properly and well is really difficult. A tiny tweak in your swing could send the ball in a totally different direction and distance.
Good video! Surprised you didn't mention the baseball scene, considering all the gay tension in it.
8:59 This is how you play golf. Basically, you use the driver to go super long distances. That's the club with the super fat head.l There is the 5 iron, 6 iron, and 9 iron. You use them to go medium distances, and there is the putter. You use that to go short distances.
I really enjoyed the bloopers the best in this one!
My school never even used lockers. We had to carry everything in our backpacks & textbooks are heavy.
I laughed hard on how you described Troy's Bet on Me. 😆😆😆 Great vid as always. Thanks Negative!👍 Legend!
12:19 bro's getting his nose picked without his consent
Nah nah nah hear me out- "Troy Bolton? More like Troy Bolted"
IT WAS RIGHT THERE!!!!
That song at like 12 minutes in, I'm not sure how it was in america but that song was cut in the tv version in europe
Vent about “Fabulous” :
When I was like 8 my friend told me I was like the song “Fabulous” and I have been really self conscious since about the fact that my parents made a lot of money.
I believe hes talking about hitting a ball up hill, so instead of having the ball roll up it they are hitting the ball over to the top of it using what looks like a wedge jhdkjsfsd
yayyy HSM2 is my all time fav!! happy you made this video!
My lockers purple lol
5:38 descendants *COUGH COUGH*
At my school you can actually attach a piece of wood on top of your locker door and paint on that :)
Me: "Oh my gosh they skipped 'I don't dance' I can't believe it" I was so looking forward to that 😅
hey heads up if you didn’t know that the word at 21:09 is derived from the g slur. otherwise I absolutely adored this video, I love revisiting this movie with new perspectives!
at my school all the lockers are either: red, blue or yellow and you can decorate the inside with whatever.
Woa! This is the first time I am this early. This is nice. Also I can't believe being early made my day.🤣
Ik this is an old vid but; my first job was at a yacht club. They werent allowed to tip bc everything was charged to their account 😭 a handful were nice and insisted but we were technically not supposed to take it
your videos are soooo nice to watch !
I did vote in that pole. I was livid.
8:50
I'm not exactly an expert at golf, I'd barely consider myself a novice, but as someone who spent all 4 years of high school on my school's golf team despite being TERRIBLE at the sport I do at least have a very basic understanding.
A lot of work and money goes into them so country clubs and golf courses get understandably pissed if you damage them.
even as ai kid i knew this movie was the GOAT
HSM 2 is the best one.
This one is pretty good, but the 3rd one is AMAZING! The budget is bigger and 'I want it' is an absolute bop😍
