data grab how? The car already has an internet connection \GPS so with or without this GM could track the car and sell info about its location if they want to. They dont need google built in for that. Also do you really think the apps you use in CP don't log data about your usage? I can't believe people are this naive.
@@MattMaranMotoring yeah I got that- what I am saying is the car is already trackable (Im sure you are familiar with GPS and Onstar) and apps also collect data about user movements to sell to analytics firms- this is not simply an OS issue and the notion that having carplay means no apps track you is not accurate. Google is tracking your conversations in the car? First Ive heard of that, but it sounds like apple propaganda straight from their TV commercials.
@shethjones4494 To use texting in this car, I need to allow Google to read my conversations. It's right there in the permissions you agreed to when you set it up. Users have the choice of which apps they use as far as what data they want shared when it's contained to their phone, but when it's an integral part of the car, there is no way out of that other than not signing in and then having an even worse infotainment experience.
I bought the Bolt EUV in January of this year. It was the first vehicle I owned with apple CarPlay. I just decided to upgrade to the Blazer EV RWD RS model and not having CarPlay is not an issue. So far it’s an awesome vehicle.
Matt, I appreciate your perspective on this, but you have to understand that the average person doesn't have a new vehicle to set up every week. We buy a new car, on average, every 8 years. Spending an hour or three to set up various apps isn't really an issue. And I am way more happy than GM went with an Android-based system than any horrible system Apple might have. And let's be clear here, Apple is the one who is preventing interoperability - they pull the same "walled garden" BS with their messaging apps (blue bubbles vs green). I will admit I have not used this exact Brazer EV system, but on my new GM verhicle I have the option to either mirror/cast my phone or set up the various apps and run them directly. I have had to spend time doing that and yes I had to go through various log in screens, etc, but again, I'm doing it once for (hopefully) many years, not once a week. Could the process be more streamlined? Sure, but it's not nearly as big of a deal as many reviewers have made it out to be. Same deal with the whole "headlight switch is only in the touchscreen" issue that seemingly every reviewer has crucified GM for. In the 3 months I've had my vehicle, I've thought about that light switch exactly 0 times. It's a non-issue. Anyways, always good to see a review from Matt.
@@Digikidthevoiceofreason this is a crossover through and through. It’s essentially a lifted hatch with a slightly taller body. This does not blend truck capability and a car. This is mostly a lifted car.

Good review Matt. As I expected, GM would nail the dynamics as when they put their best engineers on a project, they damn near are second to none. For me, I use google maps and Spotify 98% of the time when I drive so other than the initial set up, this doesn’t seem too bad. And it looks like some of the screen UI issues are an update away of being fixed. Side off-topic question: when you brought up how this compared to the Mach-E, have you thought of doing a “vs” series? Could help with the channel growth and get it back on the right track. Plus I think it would be fun for you to mix it up.
I did a comparison video for the Mustang vs GR86 and it performed pretty well but it’s nearly impossible to set them up so it just comes down to whether the stars align right to allow it to all work out. Unfortunately the week I had this vehicle I was too busy to do any extra filming.
@@MattMaranMotoring I understand Matt. I know it’s pretty much double the work but wanted to ask and see if the juice was with the squeeze. I’ve followed your channel awhile and appreciate your take on cars. I just want the best for you, your family, and channel. 🍻
Out of all of the big tech companies, I trust Google the least, BY FAR. The amount of data you have to grant to them to access basic vehicle functions is absurd, and we know that GM is more than willing to sell your data. This is why I'll stick to older cars, haha.
As someone who is trained in the cybersec/cyberforensics field, you are correct. Apple CarPlay is infinitely more private than anything created by Google. GM/Google just want to harvest data on their customers with this vehicle and I find that disgusting.
@@yay842 exactly. Apple doesnt sell data, they just want to have you buried in their ecosystem to the point where you won't or can't use anything else which keeps the revenue coming in. Not exactly altruistic
I love the Blazer EV, will be getting one next month ❤ for about $100 you can get a small CarPlay device and add it to this car. This isn’t a deal breaker for me.
Can someone help me out here: Why do I feel like Apple users voted for Biden and get all the booster shots? Is this probably accurate or am I a bigot? Please tell me if I suck.
@@MattMaranMotoring car projection is state of the art circa 2016- its not in 2024 which is why tech fwd EV companies have not put time into it. This is probably the beginning, not the end of this trend.
Great video. Btw Rivian is pronounced as “riv-e-in”. Not riv-e-on. 😂 That all said there is a way to get carplay into any vehicle. Just get one of those carplay units that go over your existing rear view mirror. Has built in dashcams ( which all drivers should have regardless ) and uses either Bluetooth or radio to transmit your sound. Problem solved!!!! Perhaps do a video of one of these.
that was the point- very little about how the car performs as an EV- no mention of how the navigation is setup to find charging or how the built in system has info about nearby chargers integrated into the UI. There is a lot to the system but very little was shown because of the focus on how its not carplay- that seemed to be the primary point.
@@MattMaranMotoring not really, you basically said GM dumped carplay for no reason and made sure not to show anything that would run contrary to that. There are reasons and benefits- the viewer can decide if the reasons are good enough. You barely even showed the screen in the video, much less dive into some of its features and capabilities- none of which would be accessible from carplay.
@shethjones4494 you still don't get it. You should try a gas powered GM vehicle with this system someday if you think CarPlay would ruin the experience.
Please all Blazer Ev reviewers make note of awd or rwd. There is a huge difference in charging/range and acceleration....thumbs up for rwd, would never buy an awd, which I test drove but leased rwd instead
Thanks for the information regarding the infotainment setup! I have so much “agree to permissions” fatigue. I’m a GM guy, but it’s becoming obvious that I’ll go another direction when I get an EV.
It sounds like they made a decent EV at the end of the day, which is good. Its too bad they doubled down on the data collection stuff and the Google integration. Those are non starters for me.
Nissan, Ford, HOnda, etc. all use google built in and others are moving in that direction- this isn't some crazy one off idea by GM. And what data is it collecting that you are trying to hide exactly? Tons of apps track your location and then sell that data to companies you do analysis based on that.
@shethjones4494 just because those other cars have Google built-in doesn't mean you have to sign in, especially since you can easily avoid it with CarPlay/Android Auto.
I think it only makes sense as a great lease deal - like alex on autos did. (with dealer discount + tax credit kickback from the automaker's captive leasing company)
Great video. I agree with you. I can’t believe the crap you’re getting for pointing out GM is inconveniencing many potential buyers just to set up a data grab. It’s not like there isn’t a ton of iPhone users that might want to know this information.
that is a terrible solution. That makes carplay even more of an add on that it already is in a normal car. It is impossible to use this car effectively being outside of the native UI- the screen is needed for almost everything other than climate control and volume. YOu wouldn't be able to do squat in the car from carplay so you would always have to jump out of it.
@shethjones4494 I see you've drank Chevy's kool-aid on this one. You can do plenty within CarPlay, most integrations still have toolbars in the bottom, top and/or side of the screen (even GM does in their gas-powered vehicles running this same exact screen and software) that allow you to do other things while CarPlay is displayed. Come on, I know you're a Blazer EV owner but try to be a little objective here.
@@MattMaranMotoring Your commentary shows you really didnt use the car during your week as an owner would. Yes, the shortcuts remain visible on cars like the lyriq and others- my point is to do anything in the car other than drive and change temps you need to use the system- and the shortcuts take you out of carplay back the native UI. To view trip efficiency data, change settings, use audio sources not connected to your phone, to access the wifi info, to view anything related to the apps, etc. all require use of the screen. Carplay does not control the CAR itself- niether does android auto- they are about media consumption from phone apps- they are not integrated into the car and cannot change settings or gather useful information from the car. When 90% of controls are in the touch screen you have to interact with the car UI no matter what. So if someone has a philosophical issue with Google built in they may as well avoid any automaker product that has the system because no amount of carplay will allow you to avoid interacting with the android automotive UI in any of these vehicles. When CP came out most cars used their screens for little more tha navigation- there where controls elsewhere in the cabin- that isnt the case on newer vehicles and the notion that you can use your car effectively on these models and never need to jump out of CP is just inaccurate.
@shethjones4494 except it's not inaccurate. Me tapping in and out of CarPlay is the same amount of work as tapping from the radio screen to the built-in nav screen. You're reciting the same line that Rivian, Chevy and others do when they try to defend this lack of CarPlay. Rivian's CEO just last week on a podcast said that hopping out of CarPlay takes away from the "harmonious" experience of Rivian's system. It's such marketing-spin BS. There's no difference whether you're tapping around the native UI or CarPlay. It's just another app in the infotainment system at the end of the day, that happens to be able to play its own apps when you want/need it to.
Because of the absolutely insane lease deals on this vehicle right now, I'm about 90% certain I'm going to pick one up. With that said, I say to the group, I'm going from a 2015 Avalon with Entune. I'm assuming that won't bring the wrath, since I have gotten by without Carplay to this point. I got by with bluetooth streaming. So, I feel like what I'd like to make the jump to carplay can't pass up on a one-pay 27 month lease for $6700, out the door.
I am an Apple user, but I do not mind that my Blazer EV doesn't have CarPlay. It really hasn't bothered me at all. I drove the Lyriq as well, but liked the way the Blazer handled better. I've had two Tesla Model Y's and a VW id.4. I will never go back to Tesla. The Blazer is miles ahead of the Y in terms of build quality.
I have a Blazer EV and I totally agree on that Notification Screen! The icon is WAY too small and swiping up to get rid of it is very difficult. Agree with almost all of this as an iPhone user and Blazer EV owner. Car itself is wonderful, but the infotainment is a bit of a hassle. I’d add you can use “Hey Siri” and text through that. Same with Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple Calendar, etc. “Hey Siri, play Smells like Teen Spirit”. “Hey Siri, play the newest episode of the Conan O’Brien podcast”, etc. So unless you really need to visually see everything, I don’t feel I’m missing out on much.
if you respond immediately to a TM you never have to use the notification window- that really only comes into play if you want to look at notification after the fact.
@@MattMaranMotoring you barely looked at the UI and that is your opinion- that isnt a fact. As a reviewer you should know the difference. You can also just say to google to read your last TM without even going to the notification screen. If you arent going to learn how to use the car its not fair to say it sucks to use. I dont even think you touched on google assistant functionality in the video because your primary purpose to to show that withotu carplay the car is hard to use. I have the car and there is very little reason to use the notification screen. IT should be easier to close- but the reality is its not all that essential.
@shethjones4494 more excuses I see lol. I looked at the damn UI all week because I couldn't use CarPlay, so yes I tried it all and like I said in the video, some stuff worked well, like the Google Maps voice request, but most of it was obtuse.
Obviously GM wants the driver's data, because as you said Android or Apple any modern car you just connect your phone and you have the navigation, music, texts, etc. That you are used to with minimal distraction. Great for rentals and multiple drivers. My guess is they will bring smart phone integration back. All the GM ICE cars have it. I did get a chuckle as an Android user though. Apple always does their own thing and it's frustrating to work with it from the outside, or leave it and go out into the rest of the tech world. 😂 Your next review will be less stressful.
@@MattMaranMotoring they now have competition and they are not changing course- niether is rivian so half of all EVs dont have CP. People with the lyriq say they dont even use CP/AA because it's pointless vs using the built in system. I understand you are mad about this change but GM is probably the first mainstream to do this, not the last. Many said they would never buy a car without a CD player as well. Look how they turned out- GM was one of the first to stop providing CD players which was not popular at the time
And that "half" of EVs are shrinking if you're watching Tesla sales. This is not a CD player, there is no good alternative for Apple users if you get rid of CarPlay.
GM just needs to get access to the supercharger network and tweak the 10%-80% DCFC curve and get below 30 minutes The RWD maxes out at 190kwh but doesn't hold it long enough, copy the Silverado EV 4WT curve please
My truck had car play in a iPhone user I never use it inside the built in apps for Spotify music and Apple Maps sucks so bad I prefer the gm navigation that is built in main reason I hate car play is anytime I use snap chat it stops the music
I wonder if Siri eyes free works. Normally, if you press and hold the voice control button, you can call up Siri and text, call and stream music thru bluetooth.
Nice to see wagons making a comeback, even looks good for an ev but I’ll never buy any vehicle that slaps me in the face not having CarPlay so they can slap me again with a subscription on top of slapping me again selling my driving history to insurers without my consent.
275s! Literally 2 inches wider per corner compared to the the Mach E. Kind of an odd pivot to have a high tech car without a common high tech inclusion, but time will tell whether they end up on the right side of history or not.
About the natural feeling of the (blended) brakes, obviously GM knows what it is doing in that regard. If you ever have a chance to drive that old Bolt, the brakes also feel so natural while blending regen and physical brakes. Ford is basically copying everything from Tesla, which does NOT do blended brakes (so if you step an the brakes, there is no additional regen). So of course Mach-E's blended brakes feel unnatural....
Matt, what the BlazerEV uses for its infotainment is Android Automotive, which is NOT the same as Android OS. It only has a limited number of apps -- so it is not as if Android users will automagically have every single one of their apps on their Android phones in the car.
exactly, but an Iphone user doesnt understand that. It is not the same as android automotive so its an adjustment for everyone, just like a rivian or tesla interface- but that doesnt mean its inferior.
Yes I'm very aware of the difference between Android OS and Android Automotive. My point that I guess you missed was that for Android users, it's likely that more of their apps will be in the play store than iPhone users, therefore requiring less of an adjustment period.
@@MattMaranMotoring these are observations- not bias. Many iphone using reviewers are taking GMs decision personally and are on a crusade against AA and GM. You arent the first and likely wont be the last trying to make this out to be a crisis. I am only commenting on the behavior I am seeing in reviews and on blazer forums- similar to Tesla fans, Apple fans (not the casual iphone user) are on a mission to PROVE that any interface that isnt from apple is crap (as you have said right here in these comments) and they are also driving home the fact that apple users should never have to be exposed to anything not by apple or learn anything because that is taxing. I have to use various OS in my life so I am not nearly as rigid or closed minded as many apple die hards. I'm responding from an iMac right now- i know all about apple. I used to jumping in and out of different systems and I am capable of adapting and learning so none of this is a big deal. In fact, its actually sad that so many reviewers are afraid to learn what each vehicle OEM offers in terms of UI but I am seeing that is a trend- many reviewers do nothing but use CP when they are test driving new vehicles. Ive also read comments from iphone users indicating that every OEM UI is crap and the only way to get a great experience is to be in CP 100% of the time.
@shethjones4494 I never called it a crisis, I pointed out the deficiencies of this system for Apple users. You're upset because you love your Blazer EV and that's great, but not everyone is going to feel the same as you or have the same priorities as you. While we're making broad generalizations, people just like you gave me crap when I complained about Tesla not having CarPlay and I see the Rivian fans that also immediately defend the lack of CarPlay like its their job anytime anyone brings it up online. This is such an old debate that it's honestly boring at this point. You love your car and think it's the best, anyone that disagrees is clearly crazy, I get it.
Nice review overall, but I'll be darned if it wasn't broken record time for the last 10 mins. My solution to no ACP/AA, just drive. Enjoy the break from your device...
that is unacceptale for iphone users I have learned. This is a full on crisis based on some reviewers and others- the funny thing is non owners are the primary people who are up in arms online about what GM has done.
@@MattMaranMotoringwhile I like that you bring this point up, I think like a lot of other youtube reviewers, you focus on GM because there is little reputational cost (maybe a gain), but shy away from making the statements so vigorously in reviews with the popular brands like tesla.

many who use carplay have this vehicle and the equinox- many are satisfied and the notion that an iphone user shouldnt even consider this vehicle is ridiculous and closed minded.

I actually did drop $100 to reserve one…what something like two years ago. EV market has kind of tanked recently. Cadillac is fire selling Lyriqs right now which is the better version of this platform. This thing doesn’t really support the most popular smartphone. I can see why this is going to be a huuuuuge swing and a miss for Chevy.
i mean some very specific situations were discussed in order to paint the system in a bad light. Using voice commands to add an address for navigation purposes is already pretty easy- to come up with a very specific situation where you would have the "hardship" of reading a message and then speaking to the system to give an address seems like grasping at straws
@shethjones4494 I guess you use a car very differently than I do. My observations were just me using the car the way I use every other car, and the difference was huge, and not in a good way. And I'm not the only one that feels this way clearly if you look around online. It's like no one on the GM team ever tried using an iPhone with this system. And in fact, when I was talking extensively with one of the people that designed this system on the launch event and asked him questions about how my iPhone works with it, he didn't even know half of the answers, which kind of proves this was a system built by Android users that don't understand the glaring deficiencies this system has for Apple users in the ecosystem.
@@MattMaranMotoring yeah. Very serious question. I clicked on the address then it opens Apple Maps. What’s next? How do I get that address to the Blazer’s navigation system?
Another car to avoid at the rental lot - I don't want to spend an hour or two just to get a damn map uploaded, when I can just plug in my Android phone in most anything else. AND when I turn it back in, probably spend as much time trying to cleanse all that from the car's memory. Swing and a miss, GM...and Rivian...and Tesla...
@shethjones4494 maybe if you don't have 2-factor verification turned on and only use a couple apps. Sometimes it can take a solid minute just for one of those texts to come through, and you have to do that multiple times across apps.
Come on Chevy most people use Apple products biggest one in the world. We’re not all engineers to set these things up. Hopefully the dealers will help you do these things.
most? no. Sorry. And apple doesnt make car infotainment systems so carplay is an add on to access media- it is not a native UI to control a car. Apple is trying to do what google has done and design OEM UIs but we dont have that yet. In touch screen dependent cars carplay is becoming less and less practical.
@MattMaranMotoring keep up the good work. My ire is more directed at other reviewers. Phone projection is actually a requirement for me as well.
No CarPlay is 100% a deal breaker. I'd never consider this car
Guess no Tesla for you
So get a portable CarPlay system for $100, problem solved 😂
I’m strictly Apple and not having CarPlay hasn’t mattered. It still connects and you can Bluetooth most everything from your phone
Wasn’t originally going to watch a video of another EV CUV, but the iPhone user part is intriguing…😂
It’s a SUV. Not a CUV. It’s not a crossover.
@@Digikidthevoiceofreason this is a crossover through and through.
It’s essentially a lifted hatch with a slightly taller body.
This does not blend truck capability and a car. This is mostly a lifted car.

A Lexus GX or Toyota 4Runner are SUV’s, but not this.
Still waiting on the Blazer EV SS...
Out of all of the big tech companies, I trust Google the least, BY FAR.
The amount of data you have to grant to them to access basic vehicle functions is absurd, and we know that GM is more than willing to sell your data.
This is why I'll stick to older cars, haha.
Imagine trusting Apple over Google
As someone who is trained in the cybersec/cyberforensics field, you are correct. Apple CarPlay is infinitely more private than anything created by Google. GM/Google just want to harvest data on their customers with this vehicle and I find that disgusting.
@@yay842Apple sucks too but just today Google was found guilty of breaking privacy anti-trust laws… that timing though 😂
have you ever used this car? You can opt out of various things in terms of location sharing etc and apps on your phone share tons of data- sorry.
What device do you mean?
Can someone help me out here: Why do I feel like Apple users voted for Biden and get all the booster shots? Is this probably accurate or am I a bigot? Please tell me if I suck.
Not a bigot. Just a weirdo
I like the red seats. Also 2:00 that car tailgating like crazy
I'd like to see Matt do some podcast or something with Alanis King or Shooting Cars.
Good idea cross pollination is what he needs to grow this channel
Aren't you able to use those apple apps though your phone over Bluetooth?
Sure, if I want to pull my phone out and tap around like it’s 2014.
yes, he failed to cover much of that. YOu can access siri via bluetooth and it was very misleading to not mention this.
@@MattMaranMotoring car projection is state of the art circa 2016- its not in 2024 which is why tech fwd EV companies have not put time into it. This is probably the beginning, not the end of this trend.
@shethjones4494 I never mislead. Siri via bluetooth is a pretty crappy experience too.
@@MattMaranMotoring thats not too specific- apple using owners of this car seem to be able to manage fine. You could also use it to send text messages
Great video. Btw Rivian is pronounced as “riv-e-in”. Not riv-e-on. 😂
That all said there is a way to get carplay into any vehicle. Just get one of those carplay units that go over your existing rear view mirror. Has built in dashcams ( which all drivers should have regardless ) and uses either Bluetooth or radio to transmit your sound.
Problem solved!!!!
Perhaps do a video of one of these.
Half the entire review is bitching about lack of iPhone integration.
I did a 30+ minute review of this car already if you’d like to hear me cover all the usual stuff.
that was the point- very little about how the car performs as an EV- no mention of how the navigation is setup to find charging or how the built in system has info about nearby chargers integrated into the UI. There is a lot to the system but very little was shown because of the focus on how its not carplay- that seemed to be the primary point.
@shethjones4494 I covered that stuff in the 30+ minute review...
Looks good but gm reliability is my concern, also way overpriced.
Yep, I like apple car play also.
Easily one of the best cars on the market
Thanks for the information regarding the infotainment setup! I have so much “agree to permissions” fatigue. I’m a GM guy, but it’s becoming obvious that I’ll go another direction when I get an EV.
I don't care how many "fill in the gap" features Chevy has, if there's no apple car play it is a major inconvenience. What an oversight!
No Carplay is a deal breaker for my family too. Thanks for the video.
It sounds like they made a decent EV at the end of the day, which is good. Its too bad they doubled down on the data collection stuff and the Google integration. Those are non starters for me.
And you think that Apple doesn't know everything about you?
@Mike.T. Not really since I don't use their products.
Nissan, Ford, HOnda, etc. all use google built in and others are moving in that direction- this isn't some crazy one off idea by GM. And what data is it collecting that you are trying to hide exactly? Tons of apps track your location and then sell that data to companies you do analysis based on that.
@@twotrackjack2260 if you dont use a phone then you aren't getting tracked- most people have phones
@shethjones4494 just because those other cars have Google built-in doesn't mean you have to sign in, especially since you can easily avoid it with CarPlay/Android Auto.
Matt, did the album art appear low res for all music? It may have had Taylor Swift low res to give you a hint to change to the next track 🤭
Haha yeah it was low res for all.
Alex on Autos leased a Blazer EV for dirt cheap and bought a carplay screen. Seems like the best solution, besides a Honda Prologue/Acura ZDX.
that is a terrible solution.
@@shethjones4494 lmao what
Because of the absolutely insane lease deals on this vehicle right now, I'm about 90% certain I'm going to pick one up.
Your insights re: driveability are helpful
Great job on the car might take a look at it now after your good comments
Horrible Charging CURVE for Blazer EV. And Equinox EV. I will stick with my 2. VW. Id-4; Pro S. 2023 model year
For this price you can get a Lyric Tech. 500HP and CarPlay. Lyric looks a little overboard for me. Like the looks of the Blazer better.
I would like to see a review of the Honda Prologue which has Apple CarPlay
Coming this fall!
Can you turn off that vehicle space invaders sound completely?
The inside one but not the outside one.
@shethjones4494 not everyone is able to immediately touch a screen prompt while driving. This is just poor UI design, no way to justify it.
😂 Your next review will be less stressful.
they arent bringing it back- Im sure people said the same thing about tesla 10 years ago
@shethjones4494 the difference is Tesla had no competition 10 years ago so they could do whatever they wanted.
It's amazing that humanity managed to survive prior to 2014 when CarPlay was first announced and released. .....🙄
Deal breaker for me. I don't understand why GM installed carplay on the Cadillac but not on their other vehicles.
I wonder if Siri eyes free works. Normally, if you press and hold the voice control button, you can call up Siri and text, call and stream music thru bluetooth.
It does, but it's still a much more obtuse experience than CarPlay.
it does- the system can do a lot of things that were glossed over
Think I will hang onto my 2024 Cadillac XT6 Sport with a V6 and Apple CarPlay as long as possible.
Nice to see wagons making a comeback, even looks good for an ev but I’ll never buy any vehicle that slaps me in the face not having CarPlay so they can slap me again with a subscription on top of slapping me again selling my driving history to insurers without my consent.
You can turn that charging light thing off
275s! Literally 2 inches wider per corner compared to the the Mach E. Kind of an odd pivot to have a high tech car without a common high tech inclusion, but time will tell whether they end up on the right side of history or not.
An App or lack of App is going to stop you from buying a car? Wow. Your supposed to be driving not texting, surfing or even on the phone.
There’s an Apple Music app for Android, though, isn’t there? Does it work with Android Automotive?
GM can we average 142.8kwh during 10%-80% DCFC at Ultium/EVGO/Flying J Pilot sites and V3/3+ Superchargers when available please
@shethjones4494 try to be a little less obvious about your bias against iPhone users if you want people to take your comments seriously.
It's nice, I like
Apple users sure do cry alot.. 😂🤣😂🤣
Maybe you’re used to other reviewers sugarcoating everything, but that ain’t me. I tell it like it is.

indeed- this is a carbon copy of a few other reviews by apple using car reviewers- they feel lack of CP is deserving of the bulk of the focus of their reviews as if its a crisis.

indeed
That doesn't solve it though, like I explained in the video. Album art is low res, audio quality is worse, and playback can be more glitchy.

How do get an address from a text message to the car’s navigation as an iPhone user? Type it out or copy and paste like a boomer?
Uhh is this a serious question? If so, you just click the address in the text and it goes straight into Apple Maps.
i mean some very specific situations were discussed in order to paint the system in a bad light.
@shethjones4494 People have been trained to run away from voice command systems but most systems are pretty good now.

Swing and a miss, GM...and Rivian...and Tesla...
it takes 5 minutes to setup- not sure how anyone needs 2 hours
