EXACTLY..I was just about to type the same thing!!! It's just sad how he sees himself. In the world of noses..for an Iranian his nose is actually good...could be way "worse" a
The thing about Iran is a significant amount of the population has a fake nose (I've only met one Persian who didn't) so when you have a real one you stand out.
When I say I see narcissism everywhere I meant it. It's everywhere. A child's first bully is the parents. Me seeing that woman inject herself I threw up. That mother is the reason her daughter is insecure about her body. Sad sad sad. Am a mother and I always boost my daughters confidence and remind her how beautiful she is even with a messy hairday and ive done it since she was a newborn and now age 5 she tells herself how beautiful she is especially when I plait her natural hair. And for my son I do exactly same and when he is angry I encourage him to come to me and let's talk about it. Parents need to teach their children to love themselves and everyone is happy. This people using plastic surgery Do they know they'll grow old someday?? Love yourself people
That Brazilian mother is, quite frankly, vile. If she was telling her daughter to lose weight because of health issues, it would be understandable, but to constantly fat shame her daughter just to be "beautiful" is appalling. However, if what her daughter says is true, that the mother deliberately persuaded people to have procedures that they hadn't thought about, then it tells us a lot about her. Thank goodness that the daughter has a supportive wife.
Its understandable, i don’t think she is vile. She wants the best for her daughter and lets be honest society (in almost every country in the world) is kinder and more accepting of thin/medium sized young ladies.
Oh my goodnees, that Iranian guy's nose was PERFECT. Sometimes parents are right, please listen to them. His nose was absolutely balanced and beautiful.
I'm from Europe and was basically married to a Brazilian for 7 years and went to visit the in-laws 5 times. Some of them didn't realise I could understand Portuguese. I heard their comments about my weight and I wasn't even fat! I made it very clear where to draw the line with people, which embarrassed my ex. I learnt that they weren't trying to be malicious, it's just cultural.
These things have changed a little... I can't say about your in-laws though. But I think the young in Brazil, although they may strive to get fit, are really less judgmental about other peoples' looks today.
I am Brazilian and I understand brazilians are very straightforward with certain things. But talking about one's weight like that is considered VERY unpolite. I am sorry you had this experience.
As a Brazilian, I do consider it a bit malicious. Kind of passive agressive. People use euphemisms sometimes. They might call you strong with a smile in the face. It's not common to give it straight in Brazil. Quite the opposite, actually. Our culture is full of innuendos, context, malice. Direct talk is considered offensive.
I am realizing more & more that offending or upsetting people who are trying to hurt you, is what power looks like. I like being terrifying & powerful mych more than being "attractive"
The dude’s nose is great. Suits his face. But it’s his nose and if surgery gives him confidence , that’s great 🎉 . He is a good dude trying to make his way. His mom is beautiful.
Oh my, I’m a Brazilian living in Germany and… my family is from the same city of Camila’s! I find it so crazy about this pressure to be picture perfect and I heard before that I need breast implant and face lift. You want to feel accepted but you also want to love yourself, it’s an impossible mission
I have a Brazilian friend and once we almost had a fight when I suggested that people should reconsider before opting for invasive surgery and think whenther the issue that they have with their body really boils down to their body or something else. I have learned from him and other Brazilians that many there view plastic surgery much more casually and positively than Europeans.
When you are little, you are ridiculed all the time . In high school I suffered bullying, in college people didn't want to go to college with me, there's still the issue of difficulty finding a boyfriend. Most want to find you hidden
Very interesting! I am proud of the Brazilian girl who likes herself the way she is. I personally think she's gorgeous. I am disappointed the Iranian artist got a nose job but if this is what makes him happy, I fully support him. Beauty is so relative and the definition our current society gives of it is so wrong at so many levels! Life is short. Do whatever makes you happy as long as it's legal. Don't let people's negative opinions and comments reach you. Live!!!
I came to the comment section to see if I was losing my marbles. So happy to see other people saying that Iranian guy looks absolutely great. It really is all about perception I guess.
I think that Reza's family love him very much, but because of the generational gap and as we age, we see things differently. I can understand and appreciate their hesitancy.
I am Brazilian, and I am shocked with the way Camilla's mom is treating her. This is not acceptable. Of course it is comprehensible that she is concerned with her daughters' weight, but she should encourage her to see a nutritionist and never body shame the girl. That was mean :(
I think the same. Every child deserve a parent but not every parent deserve a child. I feel she gives a 💩 about her daughter, she only wanted/wants "mini-me".
So glad the Brazilian girl found her way to love herself, express herself through fashion and also has a lovely, supportive wife. She's really pretty, too. Societal pressure is a cruel beast, and obviously her mother buys far too much into this distorted concept of "beauty". Being thin at all costs, mutilating your body through non medically necessary surgery to achieve it, fighting a constant battle with your body to look younger or barbie-like are all terrible lessons.
It's concerning when people's priorities are out of order, conflicting beauty with health. To say everyone must look like a supermodel to be successful and accepted is as far from correct as saying one should be happy and feel beautiful even when clearly overweight... We're seeing 2 different extremes and both are removed from reason. That dude's uncle is the type of person everyone should have around for a reality check!
For some here commenting, let us understand that for some cultures, it is very normal to tell your child anything and everything. I am not saying that it is right but that is the way they grow up and find it normal.
If you spend some time on the beach in Rio, you start to understand and appreciate the Brazilian relationship with the human body. It may not represent the nation as a whole but from kids to seniors it is all hanging out. Slim to plus, taught and young to sagging leather. S'cool!
I started working out cause it makes me feel stronger and I like the result I see when I look at myself in the mirror. I would never consider plastic procedures but I respect and admire the ones who go through that. Nonetheless, we shouldn't judge at all, we never know what our relatives/friends are going through. I would never be able to cope with a mother like the girl from Brazil does. She is mentally strong and at the same time stands up for what she believes it's right for her. Love that! Ps amazing documentary.
It's not so much how you look, it's about your health, as you get older your body can't carry the weight. We have them my family. My cousin had to have knee surgery because of her weight, but she worked on it, and now the weight is gone. I worked with a guy that was older than me. We worked for the DOD. They would not allow him to travel abroad with us because his weight caused lost of other issues. He started working out, stopped smoking, stop drinking beer. Pretty much changed his lifestyle. He has not taken a pill in over 15 years. He is in his 70's now and feels better than he did in his 50's.
as Brazilian i can confirm that most part of us CAN'T afford for cosmetic/plastic surgery, because every year the Brazil economy increase, that's why most part of us work hard going work out at gym, walk a lot or do some sport that's cultural too since a common brazilian family is out of money, so it means that those Brazilian people (at video) who are paying for surgeries are middle class or upper class of economically affordable.
Reza your nose is fine!! Your face is nice, ive seen much worse noses! Even your uncle has a nice nose. Im sorry though for how your uncle spoke to you,it was harsh.I could it hurt you. Camillas mum just needs to leave her alone, and all the family too. Get off her back.
I've lived in Brazil for 25 years and have seen many beautiful women of all sizes. But being overweight is a health issue, not a beauty issue. Camila is still in her 20s but in 10 years time, if not before, she will be suffering from several ailments that are diet related such as metabolic syndrome and pre-type 2 diabetes. I know from experience that changes in diet, especially cutting out carbs and sugars dramatically improves this and you lose weight without resorting to invasive, non-reversible surgery. The average Brazilian meal will often comprise three or even four carbohydrates such as rice, french-fries, pasta, farofa (toasted cassava) and prepared using industrial seed oils instead of animal fat such as lard, butter or olive oil. This is all often accompanied by a 2 liter bottle of coca cola or Guarana. She, and her partner, will eventually have to change for health reasons, but could change now to avoid what is inevitably coming. Many of my friends and family have changed the way they prepare and eat their meals and have all benefited from losing weight, having more energy and being able to be more active.
The average meal comprises rice and beans, salad and a piece of meat/veggie protein with farofa. Which is pretty healthy! So I think this girl is having a very bad diet by Brazilian standards! A very unusual and unhealthy one. No one should suffer prejudice for one's body type, and fat shaming is a no-go, poor girl! but indeed, she should seek some guidance to lose weight in a healthy manner.
What a sad sad world. Wouldn’t it be amazing, going to the beach, not worrying about anything but having fun, like we did when we were kids. ♥️ When we are dying, we don’t think „we didn’t look good enough“, we think „we didn’t have enough fun, we were not free enough“ 😐
Resa, I was hoping that you read this before your operation. Because, truly there is absolutely you had no issue with your nose. Sadly saw that you are already did it at the end of your program. What you need to work on is your voice and technical aspect of your singing and playing guitar. Happiness comes from inside and glow out. Okay, now that you did your nose what is next? My friend get yourself to some level and be financially stable before start doing things that put you to more death. My advice is live a day by day and be happy of what you are and who you are. Live a chapter for that chapter in your life. Don’t try to be something you are not. What worries me if this, you start with a nose job and now gate has open and start see more things in your face and other part of your body that getting a bug and go and replace it! Hope that is not the case. I truly like you to work on your voice and your music and become more professional and prove to your uncle that “you will be anything,….” What. He said was a discouraging and not supportive, simply because he is old school. So, please don’t live your life for what people say or see. Look on the mirror and make sure that guy that you see has a happiness within.
Mom should Not be Trying to make her issues her daughter’s issues. Mom should be Thrilled her child feels beautiful! That she doesn't want any surgery.
From reading the comment section, it is evident that there is a level of cultural misunderstanding over the brazilian woman’s mother preoccupation with her daughter’s weight. Yes, being beautiful is perhaps overestimated in the country as a whole, but her mother made it very clear that she prioritizes her daughter’s happiness. The thing is obesity is undeniably a major health issue - a disease. It even has a ICD of its own.
The singer’s nose looks perfect to me. He might have body dysmorphia about his nose kind of like someone with anorexia who looks in the mirror and sees an obese person when they’re actually severely underweight. It’s amazing to me that Camilla is so self confident despite the fact that her mom and other family members are constantly criticizing her weight. Her mom means well, but she shouldn’t encourage her daughter to have elective cosmetic procedures that she doesn’t want to have. Camilla is beautiful and she’s helping other women.
I love the uncles wisdom. Uncle made so much sense. Now let's get to that fabulous jumpsuit miss Missy wore at the end of this vid 🔥🔥🔥. Stay strong. I look forward to your next runway show.
Do these people really think that their appearance will change so much of their lives? Or they think they have fixed everything else and appearance is the only thing left to be taken care?
I´ve never see such a disrespectful mother like that, I´ve felt completely disgusted to watch such appalling behaviour from a mother who should care and protect her daughter. Tha´s why so many people grow up traumatised and depressed.
Still waiting for a documentary about not the beauty but the ugliness taking place currently in Gaza, a documentary about the ugliness created by a State that has no ethical ideals and that the "democratical" West is supporting, a documentary similar to the one you published days ago titled "Israel - Life after the terror attacks". Would you dare produce and release such a documentary about human ugliness against children and women and innocent civilians? Maybe a too hot topic for your biased perspective and complicit coverage
Its a matter of Accepting yo natural look or push yo self to look good, thats beauty sometimes choos right clothes, hairstyle and true changing hairstyle often makes u matured - watchinh from Philippines 🇵🇭
I use skin bleaching products from Philippines. Many from you diaspora are selling these in Europe. I sometime understand why people resort to plastic surgery or skin bleaching, but still hard for me to understand why people looking for a fake tan …
Another wonderful documentary was shared by an excellent ( DW) documentary channel. Thanks for sharing. Are these surgeries having bad side effects on their health? Are theirs natural tissues embracing these foreigners normally without ejection? The beauty medical world is not telling the truth behind these surgeries to the customers . Fixing between youths desirable and older generations notable must be for embodying better options for youths and avoiding healthy losses. Not running behind mode standards of famous artists
Undergoing cosmetic surgery is always risky. Including Botox treatments. Natural is beautiful. Why would anyone want to undergo cosmetic surgery and/or want their daughters to under go cosmetic surgery which does not add to persons physical health at all?
It's really sad. My Iranian boyfriend was being convinced by family to get a nose job. Apparently a lot of people have nose jobs there even men. I'm glad he didn't let up. I actually love his nose 🥰😍
So much energy put on things that doesn’t last. As a doctor, I think plastic surgery is just it, its plastic, its superficial. If it’s for cosmetic thats what it is for. Let’s not put more to it than what it is. If cosmetic was the reason one went for a procedure thats not necessarily wrong but that doesn’t make it good as well. There are medical reasons and there are cosmetic goals. Health should be the ideal outcome and so when you have weight thats not considered healthy, that does some health risks too. There’s like a spectrum between disease, cosmetic, health and the ideal. Truth is we chose where we are on this spectrum and stand by our choice and consequence.
Even if appearance were a marker for success, what makes you stand out and attractive, are your unique features- a slightly larger nose, crooked teeth, or a dimple that makes you, you. Trying to have a “perfect” nose/look like everyone else won’t make you more or less talented. It’s sad that medias portrayal of beauty has made so many of us feel unattractive and less than. I really hope we can all acknowledge this money making machine for what it is and I hope this kid doesn’t get a nose job because not only is he attractive, his nose is perfect!!
"their job in life is clear, they do it for their husbands".... um no. I do it for myself. Also because i get a better outcome in life if I'm considered attractive.
His nose already seems to be done. It doesn’t look natural. On the other side he really sounds to have breathing issues. That's something that needs to be fixed with no doubt.
The singer guy, he doesn't need any surgery on his face, what he needs is some style in his life. He needs to get a better haircut and shave his mustache and then he'll look a lot hotter
Zonde dat de wereld zo oppervlakkig is. Accepteer gewoon wie je bent en laat je niet gek maken door de sociale media e televisie. De perfecte lichaan en gezicht bestaat niet.
Thanks a lot for taking the time to comment. We kindly ask our viewers to comment on our channel in English so that we can answer questions and encourage dialogue. Thank you and all the best, The DW Documentary Team
It's debatable whether there's "beauty at every size," but there's no such thing as, "health at every size." Weight is a big contributor to all the major diseases, such as cancer and heart disease. I'm glad that the young Brazilian woman is happy with her weight, and it may be true that, "it's not a doctor recommending gastric bypass, it's my family." Nonetheless, a doctor *would* recommend she lose weight, through whatever means. She won't be young forever, and as you age, these choices catch-up with you.
There's NOTHING WRONG with that singer's nose! It's a super nose on a man. 👌💪
😂
His nose is perfect. The long hair and mustache need to go.
i want a chin implant
I’m Iranian and his nose in iran is considered small and perfect. He’s nuts.
This is probably just for the cameras
His style is the problem and confidence level. Literally has the perfect nose
there's absolutely nothing wrong with this guy's nose lol
To me it looks like he already had one
100% Agree
Love the uncle lol
I suspect all the footage of him & his family were staged and it were all filmed post surgery.
That Brazilian mom is horrendous, very rude and disrespectful. She’s literally bullying the girl. 😢 And the other family members, too.
Coming from a brazilian, welcome to Brazil...
that's quite normal
The Iranian guy is already having a PERFECT nose …
I agree
When I say I see narcissism everywhere I meant it. It's everywhere. A child's first bully is the parents. Me seeing that woman inject herself I threw up. That mother is the reason her daughter is insecure about her body. Sad sad sad. I hope you are encouraging sports, clean diet and activity.
This is the opposite of narcism .... they're just insecure .
That Brazilian mother is, quite frankly, vile. However, if what her daughter says is true, that the mother deliberately persuaded people to have procedures that they hadn't thought about, then it tells us a lot about her. Not that it makes her behaviour okay but it's also due to a lot of societal pressure that she internalised
Its understandable, i don’t think she is vile. She wants the best for her daughter and lets be honest society (in almost every country in the world) is kinder and more accepting of thin/medium sized young ladies.
The funny thing is the mother isn’t much thinner.
The mom should have a look at herself in a mirror
The mother should encourage the duaghter to have more discipline with her physical activites and ESPECIALLY with her CALORIE INTAKE .
His nose is beautiful.
Plastic surgery does not cure low self esteem
Oh my goodnees, that Iranian guy's nose was PERFECT. Sometimes parents are right, please listen to them. His nose was absolutely balanced and beautiful.
He has a perfect nose like not even being nice

The uncle is brutally honest with his nephew. It hurt but image should come after the craft not before.
Reza is like an Iranian Hozier he's literally perfect
I love the nose of the Iranian singer. I hope he will make it to the music industry and prove to them that talent is more than the looks.
The dude’s nose is great. Suits his face. But it’s his nose and if surgery gives him confidence , that’s great 🎉 . He is a good dude trying to make his way. His mom is beautiful.
Leave your body parts alone, its beautiful that way
❤❤

I came to the comment section to see if I was losing my marbles. So happy to see other people saying that Iranian guy looks absolutely great. It really is all about perception I guess.
Confidence is all the beauty you need.
Ok, this is the most insightful quote I've ever heard regarding beauty. I think you just changed my life 😮
It's so sad that a mother doesn't accept her daughter, but instead always looks for flaws in her.
I think that Reza's family love him very much, but because of the generational gap and as we age, we see things differently. I can understand and appreciate their hesitancy.
He has the same nose as the dude in the gym

his nose is fine. i don't understand. he does not have a crooked nose or something like that.
what's wrong with his nose?
Men are supposed to have a big beautiful nose. He thinks his career is gonna take off if he has a small nose and he is dead wrong.
He should rather take more care about his hair.
I've lived in Brazil for 25 years and have seen many beautiful women of all sizes. But being overweight is a health issue, not a beauty issue. Reza's Uncle is a stand up guy. Respect.
I hate when mothers pass their own insecurities onto their children 😢
I think it’s creepy too.
And I think that young man’s nose is perfect.
Thanks DW for another video in this series. I hope there are more coming.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Investment in mental health and fitness > quick fix, long term consequences plastic surgery.
Clothes go a long way, too
What a sad sad world. Wouldn’t it be amazing, going to the beach, not worrying about anything but having fun, like we did when we were kids. ♥️ When we are dying, we don’t think „we didn’t look good enough“, we think „we didn’t have enough fun, we were not free enough“ 😐
100% the guy had this post-surgery nose during the whole documentary. Original nose shown only at 25:34 mark. DW... hope you did not pay for this lie.
Agree!
Iranian singer looks great. His nose is nice. He can add some muscles but otherwise he looks great. I dint understand what kind of nose he wants?
Resa, I was hoping that you read this before your operation. Because, truly there is absolutely you had no issue with your nose. Sadly saw that you are already did it at the end of your program. The kardashians are to blame on this
Not really, Kardashians use the Brazilian beauty standards as their own
Mom should Not be Trying to make her issues her daughter’s issues. Mom should be Thrilled her child feels beautiful! That she doesn't want any surgery.
From reading the comment section, it is evident that there is a level of cultural misunderstanding over the brazilian woman’s mother preoccupation with her daughter’s weight.

No cultural misunderstanding. The mom is clearly an airhead obsessed with looks, not health.
You're beautiful the way you are born! Love the young lady from Brazil!
Work on your health, work on your character..
Here to follow all these beautiful people. The societal pressure is ridiculous.
Beauty is class and style...
I do not think so anything is wrong with the nose of Iranian singer 🙄 accept and respect the creator who give you that face .
Ain’t South Korea number one in cosmetic surgery, and not America?
The Uncle needs to tell him that people with confidence and self-esteem already have the cure for the compulsion to go under the knife.
Don't forget South Korea when it comes to plastic surgeries 😂.
Free Palestine..
People that have their body altered, is not secure with themselves on the inside.
Most of the times, through surgery people are fixing something else…something internal
Kamila is beautiful and more confident then her mother …
keep up the hard work in the videos
The Iranian mother and son were good looking people. Too bad some change their noses - their ethnicity. You can always spot an operated nose anyway.
They failed to put Reesa complete name, I been looking for that music video he showed to his mother.
The Iranian singer needs to spend his money on singing lessons.
hard to imagine that the us and brazil have more plastic surgery than south korea
Thanks for watching and for your constructive feedback! :-)
Undergoing cosmetic surgery is always risky. Including Botox treatments. Natural is beautiful. Why would anyone want to undergo cosmetic surgery and/or want their daughters to under go cosmetic surgery which does not add to persons physical health at all?
100% agreed
19:24 his nose is so perfect omg looks like already done
just a minute in and i'm shocked that musician wants a nose job. soooo many people want that nose in particular!
It's really sad. My Iranian boyfriend was being convinced by family to get a nose job. Apparently a lot of people have nose jobs there even men. I'm glad he didn't let up. I actually love his nose 🥰😍
I think he has a nice nose! Nothing irregular about the shape or size.
Wtf the Iranian guy was handsome with his natural nose
“Is not Plastic Surgery” is Liposuction” 😂😂😂😂 Lady yes it is liposuction!!! Nothing wrong with it, but call it for what it is.
The scary part is when things go wrong. If you are willing to take the risks, go ahead.
"their job in life is clear, they do it for their husbands".... um no. I do it for myself. Also because i get a better outcome in life if I'm considered attractive.
I Couldn't grasp why the doctor didn't tell him his nose is perfect as is,
i HATE seeing those BEAUTIFUL traditional Iranian noses getting supposedly “corrected.”
The singer was handsome and the Brazilian lady also
Seriously I am not PC at all, but can someone tell me what is wrong with the Iranian guy's nose?! It looks like a perfect nose to me. I'm lost.
People need to stop saying "plastic surgery" when they mean "cosmetic surgery". They're different things.
I wish they showed us his 'after' nose because I could see no issue with the 'before' one!
It's a double standard, men can have a pot belly, with no problem. Yes I'm a man.
They can have it but I don't think it looks good or is healthy.
Small things amuse small minds !!
What have we come to? All these attractive people so hyper focused on their appearance! What if our youth focused on issues outside themselves?
His nose already seems to be done. It doesn’t look natural. On the other side he really sounds to have breathing issues. That's something that needs to be fixed with no doubt.
I found resa Instagram and TH-cam page after 2 hrs 😂 he is super handsome
@iamres
The singer guy, he doesn't need any surgery on his face, what he needs is some style in his life. He needs to get a better haircut and shave his mustache and then he'll look a lot hotter
So how did his nose turn out?? They dont show?😢 DW please do an update!
i had to pause when the iranian guy said he wants a nose job and check the comments. we are all so confused and shocked lol
so these are your problems? nose is ugly? you're fat? you're lucky beyond your understanding
Zonde dat de wereld zo oppervlakkig is. Accepteer gewoon wie je bent en laat je niet gek maken door de sociale media e televisie. De perfecte lichaan en gezicht bestaat niet.

Reesa's nose is good, I don't know why he's thinking of getting a nose job
It's debatable whether there's "beauty at every size," but there's no such thing as, "health at every size." Weight is a big contributor to all the major diseases, such as cancer and heart disease. I'm glad that the young Brazilian woman is happy with her weight, and it may be true that, "it's not a doctor recommending gastric bypass, it's my family." Nonetheless, a doctor *would* recommend she lose weight, through whatever means. She won't be young forever, and as you age, these choices catch-up with you.
It's the moms pressure that made the daughter probably not so open to the positive side of fitness.
