  • We're growing ginger for our tea company! Step 1 is propagation. All it requires is a little organic store bought ginger. Come along with me as I complete step 1! More to come on the next steps.

Thanks for sharing! You've inspired me to try to harvest ginger too! It was on my list of edible plants I want to try to grow so now is as good a time as any! I'd love some periodic update videos about your progress!

That's SO exciting. Makes me super happy because that's exactly what I wanted to do with TH-cam this yr. For new gardeners, I recommend growing things that check off at least two of the following: 1. Things you eat/use a lot of 2. Things that are expensive OR not easy to get at the store. 3. Things that you don't have to wait a long time to harvest. If you eat/use a lot of ginger, then it checks 2 out of 3 of those boxes. It takes about 10 mos to get a really productive harvest. That being said, as long as you use a lot of it, YES. Great crop to grow as a new gardener. But I'd also recommend growing 1 or 2 other things that you can harvest more quickly so you don't get deflated by not having a product to harvest for nearly a year. Good luck and happy growing. ❤ Let me know if you have any other questions. 🥰
