- Coach Erik Paulson shows how to enter and counter with the Standing Double Wrist Lock, Sakuraba Style. August 27, 2000 Renzo Gracie refused to tap to a kimura against Kazushi Sakuraba (who turned 41 today), but the bout was stopped at 13:16 of the round when the referee feared that Gracie's arm would be broken. Sakuraba locked another kimura lock against Renzo Gracie, and this time, Gracie's arm was badly broken.

I have been studying Mr Paulson for years and I thank him very much for his skills. He has a big part of building my grappling skills. Thank you again, sir. I would love to come out and train with you and your students one day.
Thank you, Coach Paulson, your holistic method is so insightful! So many people teach that lock so superficially, because they don't understand the Three Joint Nature of the lock. Thank you for putting out so much valuable content! Osu!
You are so welcome
Erik Paulson has soooo much knowledge. He is simply the best!!
You have no idea how much your knowledge is so deeply appreciated. Thank you sir.
Paulson is fantastic. An encyclopedia of combat skills. I would love to train with him someday, even for just one class. Even in my not so conditioned, retired state I would still learn so much from the experience.
No doubt!🙏👍
Great sequence entry-position-takedown
+ Counter and counter to the Counter. 🔥
Awesome in it's simplicity. I love having a go to move like that. Goes well with your bucket o wings video. Great stuff as usual. Kudos to your brother also!
Erik, always a pleasure watching you! God bless you brother!
Thanks coach. We'll taught and effective. Much appreciated.
Just about all the grappling I've learned is from you Erik! Thank you!
The 2nd counter is directly from jack mountford as well. And at the end, you said if you learn a technique from someone, give a shout out to them but you never knowingly you got those 2 counter techniques from Vic Jones in his Lancashire Catcb Wrestling group which you are a apart of, because I've seen you post your own videos in that group too.
You can do better than that, Erik, give the lad the credit like you said mate.
Thats erik paulson dude... you know who you're talking to?
@@LloydM-oh4uk keep quiet. And I am not trying to be rude to you.
@@peterheyes8552 what the hell? 😂😂😂
Beautiful technique thanks again
Learned that counter of the kimura wrist lock years ago from goker chivichian.great technique. Paulson is a true legend.
Catch as catch can wrestling is legit 🤙 deep diving in it as we speak 🔥
National Treasure 🎉❤
Good material
Awesome ❤🙏
Counter number 1 was used by johny hendricks in his title fight against gsp at ufc 167
Catch Wrestling is BJJ"S older Big Brother. LOL
I agree but I'd say BJJ was really just Judo Ne Waza at first. Brazilian Judo just doesn't sound as cool
Now they're incorporating everything that works from catch and calling it Jiu Jitsu.
I so wish catch wrestling was more popular than BJJ
Bjj is better
