Why escape when there's a pretty girl on you?
Everyone knows that Dusty Rhodes invented the elbow strike in the 70s Thai boxers watched his videos and copied it from him. th-cam.com/users/shortsQxIg8JpHEY0?si=6OABpItQQqFsmsxg
This is gold
For idiots that don't know wrestling won't understand
If you tap out to that you are weak
I wouldn’t say that’s a submission move, more like a way to force your opponent to remove their grips/reduce pressure in the guard
Gi is stupid.
But they can fight either hand and they are out.
Happy Christmas Master Coach. See you in Masters Academy next year oss
Me of the most underrated coaches/grapplers and MMA fighters of all time.
and with both my free arms i grab the neck arm and pull away.
I think the point is that you won’t have the arm you would normally frame against his choking arm due to that shoulder squeeze he’s doing. But I’m not sure how it works
@@michaelm9710 Nah, try it out, both arms are pretty free to move and can easily reach for the choking arm. I've just tried this on my GF who has zero grappling experience apart from playing victim when I try out a new move. First thing she did was pulling off my choking arm as BOTH her arms were free to move. Might work in Gi when you can grip their collar behind their neck, so that they can't just pull off your arm, but no-Gi, in particular against an equally strong opponent, rather not.
Why wouldn't they try to pull off the choking arm with both their free moving arms¿
Thank you. I just wanted to ask the same.
Firm hug i see
Works great if you fighting against 100 lbs women. Also tried on my 10 y.o. brother - it works as well
It isn't about finding one move that will beat anyone. It's about building another link in the chain, moves have counters,..but if I have a counter to your counter that you can't answer...well, that's the name of the game. ok run along now...🎉👋🤣
Yes. I agree with you that it wouldn’t work against a meathead - like me. But it might distract me enough to trick me into a different submission, so I also agree with the other guy talking about linking up the chain. Both seem correct to me
This is essentially how Gordon Ryan tapped out Andre galvao at their ADCC super fight and if you don’t know who those two are please just stfu with anything else you have to say about grappling
If you feel that way, you should go to Erik's gym and tell him that. I'd love to see that. I'll help pay for your ticket.
@patrickheath5011 I'll pay half
Terrible technique
And you are?
Slow day under the bridge?
IDK man, when ERIK PAULSON is demonstrating a technique, I'd sit up and take notes and try this at the next Open Mat.
@SmedlyButler-cq5iq you aren't just savage, you're down right sinister 😅

Is it ever possible to one-arm choke like that if I couldn't block the left side of the body in any way?
Hey, one guy in my gym lost an arm in a car accident. He locks his rear naked choke grabbing his own nape. And it kinda works, but I have to say that his limbs are so long (build like an slenderman)
@denny145x I like hearing things like that, my arms aren't short but I'm not lanky enough to do what you're describing
Yes, it's possible from several positions. Check check out Rob Khan and Joe Wiseman in Tampa.
I’ve never seen it against someone that is even a little good
Fingers in throat is crazy lol
Aka the choke that's 300lb dudes try when they can't pass your guard lol
Thats... literally the whole point of the choke. Thats like pointing out sprawling is what they try when they don't want you to grab their legs in a takedown.
@@formdoggie5 Ha! Love it!
Beautiful
Ah yes, how to put the wife to sleep when you want a few hours at night to yourself.
Whoaaàaaaaaaaaaa 🎉 ❤ that's fire... just imaging myself doing this, i see how you get so much torque from the smash.
Common, you gonna get an easy armbar
Hard to do when you're unconscious
His name is Erik Paulson
Superb watch lesson and learn
Isnt that a trachea choke?
Its not much different from a sliding collar choke
Using clothing should be considered cheating.
The No gi jujitsu is the most accurate for street fight. This stuff is useless
@Inventor1488 If you're at the beach. Most people wear clothes on the "street". Especially at this time of year.
You must always pay attention to the master
I wasn’t sure about the technique, seems like you could get armbarred. Then I realized that’s Erik Paulson the legend! Maximum respect
What chyall think, tucked in or out? Haha do you know the movie?
Anything to avoid just a regular ole two hand on throat choke.
problem you might get sweeped or armbar
I was thinking that
You do fast enough you won't
You are in his guard though
Yeah this is a low percentage move against anyone decent.
Almost zero but if you can't open a strong guard it often gets your opponent to open it for you
Aka ratchet choke...coach Paulson rules🤘
Hias name was henry paulson.... this is fought club.... the 1st rule of fight club, is that you don't talk about fight club....
Trying your hardest to not tap when the instructor is just going over the basics
Instructor could use a larger person with a stronger neck - like mine does. Using the smallest woman sure does show how the technique works.
@@michaelm9710 even my ass struggles to not panic tap when my coach is going over something but I’m very new haha
Proceeds to do a deeper and deeper crush 😵
sensei what do i do if my opponent is shirtless
Purple nurple
@@defenselessmomsthis made me genuinely laugh have a good one😂!!
Thinking exactly the same, majority of attackers don't wear a Gi
Works with any shirt or vest or just go for armbar
@@richyrich2461gi jiu-jitsu is useless. Try something else
Awesome, Are those twins?
So creative, as always 🙏🏻💯🙏🏻
Very underrated & effective move! Just be careful not to get arm-barred
I tried it and got arm-barred😂
@@SalsaBailaProductionsnow you know theres almost a guarantee that theyre going to armbar learn what the armbar feels like compared to their other options get good at countering the armbar with the stack or a hitchhiker variation and get good at countering the other options do this with every position you can think of and you are now a big problem OSS
@@Jujitard69420 eternal chess game;)
I use this to get them to open guard in an attempt to armbar then I pass. But most the time the pressure from the choke prevents an effective pivot to execute armbar an md I get the sub. If you get armbarred it’s due to insufficient pressure on the choke it’s a very brutal choke so make it hurt
😮 wr my wallet is ? Sir that's wr I found him
What a beast.
Dang this guy's pretty good. He should start a gym.
These comments are crazy. Erik Paulson is a living legend and would physically dismantle anyone posting here without breaking a sweat.
If you guys do the first one be prepared for a prison sentence
that one is for agent 47
In a real fight people bite and eye gouge. This doesnt work for a semi trained guy who is bigger
Okay , look up bas ruten 😊
Yes it does
Lol guillotines don’t work? Ok buddy. Keep telling yourself that
I now have too many severed hands in my back pockets. Does anyone know what I should do with them?
Devious have any CSW instructors over here in Birmingham, England?
Go to Wigan. That's where most of these moves come from.
@patrickheath5011 I was thinking about training with Jack Mountford but he died a few years back.
I wonder about the figure four aspect of this. In real life they aren’t waiting for you to do the maneuver and the counter to that is for the bad guy to reach over your shoulder and grab deep while taking their other hand and pulling down on your guillotine arm. Once you raise up to squeeze, good guy floats to the same side they’ve grabbed on. Chop the knee, shuffle, shuffle, shuffle to the floor. Paper cut on the throat to get the release. Then there are control and submission options from there.
this isn’t for self defense it’s bjj
Go teach him this then
They do the drill slowly to get mescle memory so they can apply it fast when needed. I think the coach won a fight with a standing choke hold that he pulledl off just because it was burnt in his memory.
@@Yukiko_Okada Wrong. It's Catch wrestling and it will definitely work for self defense.
