That is a huge improvement. I am very happy if my chess videos have helped you. I have received many email by viewers who said that after watching my videos their rating increased by 300 points, but your rating increased by 500 points. That is the record. Well done!
Mato, after a year of consistently watching your videos, & studying them, my rating went up 600 points! I owe it all to you--where do I send the check?!😊
people always talk about Kasparov as a tactical player and attacker. But he is also a genious of the positional play. His killer knight on d3 as seen in the famous game against Karpov is just too powerfull. He is just the best player of all time
Hi Mato .........I am very keen and fairly new to chess, but these are fantastic for me, a nice pace of play with good clear explanations ........... just off to check out what other collections you have (currently watching 13 videos on Kings Indian Defence). Current rating on chess.com 1200-1300 so we shall see how things go!!!!
While I enjoyed watching this vid, I think I will have to study it and other kings Indian games more before I really begin to understand the opening. I look forward to doing that
at the first point where we were asked to guess best move, I saw how white, with "equal" forces, had NOTHING going, a helpless, passive position. before any fancy end moves, kasparov had an amazingly dominant position.
Rook to e8 will win the e4 pawn, so it's a wash. If white tries to hold the knight's position with pawn to f4, black plays pawn to f6, forcing the knight to move. Then rook takes pawn on e4. If white chooses the rooks can be exchanged, but the material is still equal.
Because black would simply reply 22.Nf3:e5? Rd8-d2+ 23.Kb1 (better stay away from c1) R:f2 24.Ne5-g4 Ba5-d2 25.N:f2 B:e3 26.Ng4 Bh1 with idea h7-h5 and h2 white pawn is also lost.
Many times grand masters quit too soon... first variante is quit interesting even if you loose. Especialy when you play great finishers like Kasparov, Tal, Fischer etc ...
Well, it's a late answer, but this needs to be corrected. It's not because of Karpov that Kasparov abandoned KID. It's because of Kramnik. Kasparov had a lot of difficulty with KID in his match with Kramnik.
Excellent work Mato, really getting some positive results with my own game, like how you break game down in many variations.
That is a huge improvement.

Mato, after a year of watching, & studying your videos, my rating went from 1823 to 2435, not great, but I am improving.😊
Mato, your videos made me a better player. Thank you.
Excellent job on the King’s Indian Defense here, thank you!
ty for the upload Mato =)
just liked the video ^^
of course, thank you mr. jelic

Kasparov's games are great; would like to see more!
Thank you for your comment.
I saw the critical move 2 moves ahead.Guess all these videos have taught me something after all :D Great Game by Kasparov
another excellent game mato... well done.
very DEEP game....great video ..tnx mato
a very nice video - thank you.
Haven't been watching any chess in a while and this game was perfect!
great, thank you
Thanks Mato :)
It's neat to see 2 games in a row where White plays for a draw and Black builds up advantages from White's inaccurate/timid play.
Kasparov’s play in the standards of his level became absolute computer during his teenage years.
simple yet complicated
thanks!
thanks for the upload Mato, and I didn't win OzLotto... surprise surprise

Thanks again I am up to 1534 not great but big improvement from 1050
Kasparov also knew winning technical position in the exchange variation of KID

lDean S Me too. Think I’ll work on that tonight.

I didn't even see the zugzwang until Mato mentioned it.
Conan! What is best in Chess?
To crush your enemies, sacrifice your queen, and to play a killa move in Mato's Chess videos!
I love: Hello , this is MATO !!!
Great zugzwang game... You really have to be great chess player to intentionally zugzwang your opponent...
Nice game by young Kasparov
5:00 why not pawn to b4 forking bishop and knight?
Hey there. Why did he call the light squared bishop 'bad'? Any particular reason?
wow !
at 4:00, why not Knight takes on e5? After all, the defender for the pawn has moved.

Rd2
at 5:00 why not b4? That would be forking knight and bishop.
GM says: "If you want to play against Kasparov, change the Queens". But it doesn´t work perfectly, as we saw :-)
Don't let my profile picture lie to you :D

"Kasparov won many games with the KID", But he also lost many games and even Abandoned the KID at some point because of Karpov.
Well, it's a late answer, but this needs to be corrected. It's not because of Karpov that Kasparov abandoned KID. It's because of Kramnik. Kasparov had a lot of difficulty with KID in his match with Kramnik.
5:32 cant believe i saw that move xD
I want to play with you sir mato,
Zugzwang? Couldnt he instead of moving the king back (so that the knight can fork) moving his bishop to h1?
Sonnentau1 rd1+ wins the bishop
More Kasparov Games Mato!
I am sure you meant better chess player, not soccer player.
Just kidding.
Bh1?
#1000th liker of the video :D
1501 @ (2017-03-13) Thank You Mato !
axb3 e.p.
Better luck next time.
"eoupen file" ;D
I
these black's king moves are waiting moves, am i right?
Bh1 goes with Rd1 winning bishop
Mato, CAREEEEEEEEEEE!
hahhhaha xD
This Kasparov is soooooo boring player. No fantasies
Каспаров никогда не умел играть в шахматы, и сейчас тем более.
