Don’t be afraid to do it my kidney stone was 25 mm. Too big. Removed yesterday. Today I feel fine. I researched the best urologist in the Bay Area. And the best facility. I totally recommend this procedure.
I had this procedure two weeks ago. Its not a major surgery but its no walk in the park. It took the full two weeks to fully feel normal again and I am still a bit sore and get tired easily. I am in very good health otherwise and that will likely make a difference. There is a lot of work done up the urethra as well and usually a stent and catheter left in place. I don't want to scare anyone. Its certainly nothing like a major surgery. But its also not some minor day stay feel better in a few days either.
I have this surgery coming up, i already have a stent, will they take it once at the same time as the surgery? Or leave in? Why does it need to be left inside if stone is removed?
@@micahbell7840 I’m great now, I had keyhole surgery in January and luckily they took the stent out the same time, my stone was a build up of calcium, I drink more water now and trying to stay fit.
@@HM-ij6zl That's good to hear. The doctor said my father needed this surgery but everyone in my family is afraid and saying that he should not go to surgery because of the risks.
@@CronusVeloxI’m great, I’m in good health, I don’t have any issues, apart from the scar on my back, sometimes feels a little itchy, other than that I’m keeping well and try to drink more water more often but some days I slack
@@aaronventura4478 does lemon water work for you? how long before you can tell? I’ve been drinking lemon water, mixed w baking soda, and apple cider vinegar, think it’s working, but not sure, I think it’s moving them out my Kidney and into the urinary tube

I’m about to have this procedure done and it’s left me terrified, I’ve been outta work so long and disability doesn’t cover this 🤣😓
Did it today to remove a 14mm stone. Outpatient but stent removal in two weeks. Only pain is peeing bloody urine for a few days. Good luck y’all
Thanks hope it went well. Having mine in about a month.. I have a 2.5 cm stone and protocol for anything over 2cm is this.

Can we do pcnl to a person with CAD-two vessel disease?
I have gone through with this surgery and it's fine just one day pain after operation.. but i would prefer go through with RIRS surgery
The problem with RIRS is that you have to keep stents for like two weeks before the surgery and they are the most uncomfortable thing ever

One day of pain that’s lucky, it’s been three days for me thankfully, the worst was the first 48 hours.
