I find that I’ve grown to love your posts! I like your style. I’ve started with the Pike and Shotte you did and I’ll keep watching. Thank you for your work. It is out standing!!
Lovely little miniature that you have done justice to. Looks like it would be very fun to play in this scale…certainly should be a bit faster to paint them up albeit you need to have a steadier hand perhaps to get all the little details
Brilliant as always Stu. Can’t wait to get mine and this is inspiring on how to paint them best. Look forward to many more and been waiting years for this range to come out in this scale. Well done mate 👍🏴
You should show the pauper Romansand any potential ally who has themost cash at hand! Was not priple bained by teh phoenicians in particular anyway (the "trademark" commodity of Carthege's mother city Tyre)?
These Elephants look fantastic! I found the cavalry in EBP wasn't as much fun to paint compared to the line infantry, but these models look like a really interesting and fun model to have a crack at!
@@MiniatureRealms@MiniatureRealms The first stand of Epic ACW turned out really dark with contrast. I ended up putting 15 drops of flow improver in the pot. Water seemed to cause the paint to flake when it dried for some reason. Speed Paint and Xpress Color I used 3:1 paint to flow improver and they worked great! I just bought the Hannibal set, so your tutorial was just what I needed!
Thank you. Yes I’d definitely use transfers, and I think some might be provided (not sure 🤔), but I’m just using what Warlord sent for these videos as it stands.
Wish I could recommend a good TV show to get you really into the Punic Wars but I don't think there's a good one there - you might be stuck reading Livy! Still, beautiful elephants, both the sculpts which I agree really are flagship sculpts for this release, and the paintjob, really nice and colourful, very glad you didn't go modern drab interpretation of the past (not that I was worried)!
Great job, your description of the Howdah as a little basket made me smile.
😂 Thank you
Fantastic paintjob, they* do indeed look cool in pictures in epic scale, that purple cloth on the Elefant most have cost a fortune at the time 😄
Thank you 😆

Thank you, that’s very kind of you to say. 😊
You are truly the guy to go to for anything Epic. Excellent job!
Thank you 😊

Definitely faster than a 28mm Elephant for sure, and you can leave a lot of details off really.
Lovely paint job Stuart. Can't wait for release!
Thank you 😊
Wow, they look stunning. Thanks for showing the way. 👍
Thank you 🙂

Cheers Stevie 🙂
I loooove that purple, especially on the sides. Also you have a lovely voice, so easy and nice to listen to😅!
Thank you 🙂
Nicely done Stu. Love the effect
Cheers Dom 🙂
Awesome job!
Thanks for the easy to follow tutorial, your set up is perfect, well lit and clean.
Cheers!
Thank you very much 🙂
These videos are absolutely amazing
You’re an amazing painter
Thank you that’s more than kind 😊
Great job Stu! Love the color choices. - Boone
Cheers Boone 🙂
They look great! Can’t wait to get my hands on some. Hope the hols were fun. Paul
Thank you, and yes the holiday was brilliant 🙂. I see you’re on your travels again as well, hope you’re also having a great time.
I love it, great work on the paint job. I can't wait to try it on mine when the game is released :)
Thank you 🙂
Fantastic work Stuart😊
Thank you Paul 🙂
Great work, they came out really well.
Thank you 🙂
If the carthaginians actually used all that purple, they’d go bankrupt!
😂

Oh yes, for ‘pure fun value’ I think these have been my favourite so far from all the ranges.
This could well be on my birthday present suggestion list....
Would make a handsome gift for sure
Fantastic. I have some metal 15mm elephants by xyston waiting for this tutorial. Can’t wait for Hannibal to arrive!
Thank you, hope your own elephant painting goes well.
Yay! I've been looking forward to this one. It's your fault that I'm eagerly awaiting 3,000 warriors and 8 elephants!!😅
😅😂 Sorry
Thanks for the tutorial I have 28mm elephants I’ll be painting later this year
I’d probably approach much of a 28mm one and the same way.
Fantastic work! Long live carthage!
Thank you 🙂
brilliant what is the triad of paints used for the red
Thank you. It was Two Thin Coats - Beserker Red/Sanguine Scarlet/Demon Red.
If you aint sold on Punic Wars already… you are now !
😊
Sold
I find that painting epic scale models requires adding some flow improver to the paint, especially the greys
I don’t tend to use it often but I know many that do.

This is what we all want ❤ The preview pic is my background
Thank you 😊
That's a fine result on those hephalumps
Thank you 😊
Great work. Interesting agin with the purpke shading. Do you ever go in for transfers at this scale?
Thank you. Yes I’d definitely use transfers, and I think some might be provided (not sure 🤔), but I’m just using what Warlord sent for these videos as it stands.
Great Job Stu! What colors did you use for the basket and covering of the other elephant?
Thank you Henry 🙂. The colours are all mentioned and shown in the tutorial, I’m not near my desk to check exact names right now.

What scale are these?
They’re officially Warlord’s ‘Epic Scale’, but essentially true scale 15mm.
Sad how Hannibal lost
Well you can always make him win on the tabletop
