I am fair skinned blondes. I use ash blonde on my eyebrows and since I am so cool toned, I wonder if my eyebrow pencils and powders would work for this??
I’m definitely going to practice this technique! Never thought of using a pencil as a nose contour. This was so smart and very thorough. Thank you so much ☺️
I did this today. Wow!!! It works so well!!! I don't have an overly wide nose but with this technique it looked perfect. I absolutely LOVE your tips!!! They all work so well. I am going to add this to my bag of tricks, all of which you have given me!!!❤️ I absolutely LOVE you!!!💞💞
I love how you don't change your face.. you still always look like you! You're beautiful and talented. Many people now a days use their talent to change the way they look! I know you slightly shaded for your nose differently, but that's just that. Others plump their lips really large, narrow the nose dramatically, change the entire face shape, make the eyes look five times bigger.. this is why when they don't have makeup they look like 2 different people! Love your work!
wow this contour trick is brilliant!! I've been wearing makeup for 12+ years and always struggled with cream contour for my nose but this is such a better alternative
I learned this 'upside down Y shaped' nose contour trick from lots of makeup artists of color on twitter! I'm glad you demonstrated it on video! I never thought about using an eyeliner pencil, I think it's really important to pick a true neutral color! Warm/cool colors to contour are fine for the cheeks and jaw, but on the nose it will look so unnatural and dirty even. Also, think NYX has a contour palette with a slightly warmer version of 'Fawn' in the ABH palette for anyone looking for an affordable version. Love your videos
Hi Smitha! I can't tell you how much you have helped me and how much I learn and take away from each and every one of your videos. From being someone who used to be overwhelmed by makeup and thought it was not my cup of tea to actually being able to do decent makeup now, you have made this journey possible. Can't thank you enough ❤️.
Hi Smitha, I absolutely LOOOVE ur tutorials. I'm a single mom and even though I can't afford makeup anymore. I still love watching u and ur methods are incredible. I wish I had makeup so I can follow along with u. ❤
Been there too. I set aside 50 cent, 25 cent, whatever extra change I had and purchased ELF and Wet'n Wild. And, with CVS coupons, you get money ($2, $3 & $5), or coupons when you scan your card, and you can use how you like. Hang in there, things will get better.
I had to come back and comment again after trying this out on my weird nose! I don't think I have ever succeeded contouring my nose this well, it looked so straight! 😁 It's the L shape that completely changed the game for me. But I realized I really need to buy more brushes lol
I this tip and i love it!!! I tried it with a warm brown pencil just to test it out and going to attempt with a taupe ash brown as I have fair/cool complexion. Thank you!!!! You’re a blessing!
Your videos are true lifesaver for me. I have learnt a lot from your video. Doing my own makeup in all occasion. My wedding is in the month of May. I will do my own makeup. But the problem is I sweat a lot especially my face in summer full of sweat. Please make a bridal subtle long-lasting summer makeup tutorial. It will be extremely helpful. Love from West Bengal 💓
I absolutely love this hack. I have been trying to achieve this for so long now. Also what foundation do you recommend for older skin that has a lot of bigger pores. I cannot seem to find the right fit.
Wow love the results using a pencil. Maybe a video could be done on contouring a nose that has a little bulb at the tip. Happy 2022 so good to see you I love all of your tutorials
I love your videos smitha, especially since I’m an East Indian lady with your similar colouring. Does all contour (nose , cheeks, forehead, chin) go before or after foundation/blush/bronzer? Not sure where it fits in the routine. Thank you!

I love your videos smitha, especially since I’m an East Indian lady with your similar colouring. Does all contour (nose , cheeks, forehead, chin) go before or after foundation/blush/bronzer? Not sure where it fits in the routine. Thank you!
it depends on what you prefer, but the most common is to contour after foundation and blush and bronze after contour.
