ingredients :
1 head of broccoli (400g)
250 g of pasta
1/2 onion , chopped
2 garlic cloves
1 tbsp of vegetable oil
2 tsp of salt
a pinch of black pepper
1/4 tsp of nutmeg
4 tbsp of butter (60 g)
4 tbsp of flour ( 30g)
3 cups of milk (700 ml)
1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese (100 g)
1/2 cup of shredded cheddar or gouda cheese (100 g)

Mac & cheese with broccoli in it. I find its quicker to just throw the broccoli in with the pasta during the last 2-3 mins of cooking. Just easier than cooking them separately.

I always make my vegetable alfredo this way with a vegetable mix of cauliflower, carrots & broccoi, drain them ; add the homemade Alfredo sauce, stir gently & well, llate it up & top eith freshly grated Parmigiano Rigiaano cheese & serve hot with fresh baked rolls. Yummy.

try steaming it -- much more healthy - steaming leaves in lots more nutrition - takes only 30 seconds to 1 minute depending !

@@andreamanus743 My daughter told me a secret I never knew. Right before you drain the water, take out about a quarter to half a cup. Drain and after adding pasta back into pot, add in the saved water. What a difference!

The best broccoli is Cutting your broccoli up adding olive oil little bit of salt also at Webster garlic and herb seasoning toss it put it on a cookie sheet and bake it for 20 minutes at 400°. Depending on your oven you may have to stir it it’s so delicious. My daughter doesn’t even like broccoli but she’ll eat it that way.

I like it roasted with garlic and lemon, and a little bit of parmesan grated over.
Also works for halved Brussels sprouts.
