Thank you for making this video. My muzzle device came with both a crush washer and a locking nut and I wasn't sure if I needed to use both or 1 or the other. Now I realize it's one or the other.

The crows foot needs to be at 90 degrees to the handle of the torque wrench, or you will apply more torque than what you dialed.

I followed Neckbone's instructions when trying to install a muzzle break on my Ruger AR55, but the threads on the barrel stop about a 1/4" from the shoulder of the barrel. I can't set the proper timing with a crush washer nor locknut. Stuck on how to proceed. Any suggestions?

    Hello,
    Thanks for your explanation.
Question: Is it dangerous if there is a small space between the barrel and the nut?
A bit stupid question but it is to avoid any danger of bursting the barrel.

      How so?

Talk about dumb. There's no shoulder on this barrel to torque the muzzle device to. That's why a crush washer nor timing kit will work and you have to use a jam nut.
