I just took my core and passed (88%) today! I saw about 11 questions i could quickly reference to the notes here and the rest i knew off studying! Cheers!
Thanks man, I highly appreciate the video! i have my EPA 608 Universal but know it makes it hard to just study from a book and be expected to know everything for the 4 part exam. Again, thanks for taking yr time to make this video!
Dude I am in the same boat i star hvac school on the 24th and already look at these test are mind blowing I can’t pass test for the life of me but I really want to do this . Let me know how it went!?
I got my type 1 first time, then I got my Universal the second time. But it was pretty intense test, good luck. Just remember you can always retest and getting yr basic is most important inorder for type 1, 2, & 3 to be counted as certified.
@@hammbone82 thanks I appreciate for the reply how was the hvac class ? Easy? I’m kinda nervous to do it but I do security right now and need a change lol.
I can’t learn from books either, I’m hands on. It only took me one try to get my universal HVAC cert. though. It’s mostly common sense safety questions.
Great idea for a video series! Can you go over Nate service test prep next! I think that would be very helpful as I'm going over the Nate books currently. 👍
I took mine a few days ago and i failed, so hopefully this helps me ive been doing the study guide's on interplay, and i passed those like 5 times then i go take the test and i got like a 48 percent on type 2 and like 68 on the core so hopefully this will help
Its ok! You let your drive and determination overcome any fear! Think that this is in your way and you just need to get it done so you put the time in to studying! Keep pushing!
Is this current as June 1, 2019? Further is there going to be implemented retesting of existing Techs for 608 as is rumored or is this still sketchy? Thanks for the GREAT training series!!!
Yes this is current training for the updates to the EPA 608 test for 2019. No retests in the upcoming future to date. That could happen in the future but as of now no there is no retest in the works that I am aware of, thanks!
If R744 has no GWP or ODP but is still a refrigerant, why isnt that used over r410a? which im pretty sure is the standard rn? - just a question, studying for the epa atm
Not other than with that odd charging method on the unit with low refrigerant. It used the discharge temp instead of subcooled line. Just look up acservicetech low on refrigerant" thanks
The SNAP decision has allowed it in the US now because it is so small of a charge, it is allowed. They have used that all over Europe for the last 15 years and have the safety data to back it up, thanks
Thanks a lot Denise and I wish you the best with it! After passing your EPA 608, make sure to read some of our free articles at www.acservicetech.com such as "The Subcooling Charging Method" and "Total Superheat Charging Method", thanks

whats the best study guide for the new edition of the 608 test? for core and 1,2,3.
Honestly, it depends on who you are taking it through. If you are taking it through ESCOinst, com then I would use theirs, thanks
@@acservicetechchannel I'll be taking the paper test. Would the 9th edition of the Esco 608 study guide be enough?
Yes, that is the newest version, thanks

- just a question, studying for the epa atm
Its boiling point is much higher than that of R-410A. CO2 may run at pressures up near 900 psi, where as R-410A may run at 350 psi, thanks
@@acservicetechchannel exactly what I was looking for thanks
Co2 is very high pressure for application unit

Thanks for the video...but I can’t understand your A’s. 🤷🏾♂️
How come?
The A ratings are for the toxicity level
Purpose I know what you mean 😊
slow down and speak up
It would be nice if the narrater spoke louder and pronounced his words better instead of mumbling.
Are you slow?
