    I'm here to thank HVAC School for all they have done for my college and for me as well. I'm a student at a community college and my father is the one who brought me into the world of HVAC. But at my college, I noticed that there's a lot of young guys who needed a second chance. And here it is, we are all now Epa certified, and I will continue my education for my associates. But for a lot of my friends this was their last class it was very emotional and also beautiful to see the amazing work me and my professor had done to teach these guys everything HVAC in 4 weeks, with the help of HVAC School. I couldn't thank you all enough for the information gained from your content. Thanks. - Dante Collins, Houston Community College, Work Force Education 2024-2025

    Where do I start? I'm 50. Super strong and healthy. Point being I have plenty of time left for my career. With that said, I have been in oil and gas, Aerospace and The thermal spray industry but on the building maintenance side. I live in Houston Tx., and of course now laid off. So I decided to up my game and go to HVAC trade school. Excellent school, However it's A little difficult to understand the instructor, who is awesome by the way, because of the thick Hispanic accent and the masks. I'm so thankful I found you because you make things clear and understandable. Thank you for what you do. You will be a big part of me finishing school in the end of March next year and obtaining all of my licensing. I will be passing on your info tomorrow night in class with everyone else there. Thanks Man! Much appreciated!

      Johnston supply university has some free courses online, some that cost money. I’m not sure about epa test prep but they are useful for HVAC knowledge

      I'm in a similar boat in that I'm in that 50s range making that transition. The challenge is the pay. The sooner you can get good training and start working on your own, with a good master to back you up, the better.

    Lots of info, I’m 33 and I’m worried I won’t remember all of this. I’ve been thinking about switching careers and being an HVAC tech. I was never really great in highschool but did get my GED. Im ready to learn though and absorb and understand as much as I can about this industry.
    I was curious though what your thoughts are on starting as an apprentice versus going to school (online maybe). Which is better and could you combine the two? Thanks.

    what do you mean when you say pressurized system exactly? is it when it has refrigerant inside? is it when there's a certain amount of nitrogen that it becomes pressurized?

    • @benjaminbills1998
      @benjaminbills1998 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anything over 0 psig. Its a safety issue. The fittings can blow apart if you braze on a pressurized system.

    I got an exam question. Do I take a test for each level of epa cert or do I only take the universal cert and that will cover me? Thanks in advance. Where do you recommend I purchase the exam?

    • @supermarioisacat
      @supermarioisacat ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You must pass the individual tests for Type I, II and III to become "universal" certified.
