Next will be a trade of LaVine and a trade of Vucevic. Get 2-3 more good young players, along with the ones you already have plus the newly acquired Giddey, and suddenly the future looks very bright.

It's not a weird take at all. Giddy has potential, but only potential no real upside right now. 2 years ago Giddey averaged 17/8/6 in only 31 minutes per game. Compare that to James Harden in 2012 with OKC who averaged 31/4/4 in 31 minutes. I'm telling you right now Sam Presti is going to look like a complete fool for this one over the next few years. I'm not saying Giddey has the ceiling of Harden but he's only 21 and it clearly going to be an incredible player. You don't quit on a kid at that age and go with a 30 year old lower tier player who averages less than 7 points. This trade is a HUGE mistake.

Giddey is one of the best passers in the league. He can can rebound and drive the ball to the basket. His defense just needs some work and so does his 3 pointers. Only 21 he has a lot of potential. Chicago is getting a good player.

The death penalty? Give me a break. But in Chicago that girl is gone and OKC gets a good defensive player and Chicago gets a 21 year old point guard. It is a win win trade for all involved.

Obviously Giddey was expendable for OKC, and the Bulls need to get younger. Now the Bulls need to trade LaVine and Vucevic for young players and/or picks. (Keep DeMar so that the young guys have one respected vet in the locker room who can show them by example the things you need to do and habits you need to develop to have a 15-year NBA career.)

They lost to the mavs because they wanted shai handling the ball 100% of the time then acting like they had no one else on the team to run the offense when giddey, there second best passer and second best ball handler was in the corner forced to shoot corner 3’s. Giddey is one of the best passers in the league. He can can rebound and drive the ball to the basket. His defense just needs some work and so does his 3 pointers. Only 21 he has a lot of potential. Chicago is getting a good player.
