    Great video!! I also love smoothies and fruit. Sooo much easier on the digestion. I eat one salad a day. After work which is at about 11am for me. Then snack on fruit or have another smoothie. I love flax, chia, hemp seeds and açaí powder as well. Sooo happy to see another feels the same way 💚🌱

    I have definitely noticed an increase in appetite on a vegan diet. I don't track calories or carbs either. I tone when I work out. I don't build a lot. I have reduced my workouts because of my current personal life, but I have found that I am still maintaining my muscle density far longer than I would have on a cooked diet. I really have to watch my fat intake. That is the one thing I do track. I end up eating about a salad almost every day, and everything else is fruit, nuts and legumes. ^_^
    Thank you for continually showing others that they can make a raw diet work for them, long term. :) Your energy is so peaceful, and the diet serves. ^_^

    Awesome video, great example on calories intake amount. Ideas like this ( we need more protein or we need to keep our calories intake low to lose weight) show how lost people are when it comes to health. Information like this is invaluable, those who had to work through tons of informational garbage online would know. Thank you Shane.

    this might seem like a simple tip, but I find one banana works best in smoothies where as two is just too banana-ey and makes the smoothie too big. one small/medium banana creates a nice consistency, and adds enough fiber where the smoothie will blend nicely with ice

    I noticed that dried fruits, if you soak them in a jar in the fridge they stay fresh and the added moisture allows it to liquify in a smoothie. Some that I find work much better like this is dried figs, apricots, raisins, goji . I know its alot cheaper to get dried fruits like this and reconstitute them than it is to always add fresh fruit to Your smoothies if You are a vegan on a budget like Me so, its a great tip!

      Very Interesting that the protein powder gave you acidity. Totally agree that once the system is pure you have to listen to your body and how it reacts, regardless of what may be recommended by others.
      Fred Bisci Is a classic example of a successful living foods lifestyle and athlete, now 92 and raw for over 50 years.
      It can be done. People complain they can't do it or start to flag but maybe they don't get the balance right.
      My point is that it can be maintained over a lifetime as long as you get your selection of foods right. Look at Gabriel Cousens, no problems there either. You have to adjust according to your age and needs, that's all.

    A good tip for more plant super food protein is to add more sprouts into your diet as well as wild herbs from nature! They are mother natures "protein powder" so to speak :-) Herbs grown in nature have much more goodness in them than their home grown counterparts and if you can collect them somewhere near you where there is untouched nature, you do not even have to wash them. Just shake out or brush them off a bit and you will also get enough vitamin B12 that way. :-) The bacteria will be present on these herbs that way. :-)

    I love the recipes, thank you for sharing ! I'm vegan for 5 years now and 100 % raw for four years, after lot of health issues i recovered so much and i train hard to put weight on my frame (currently 75 kg and 1.87 m, i.e. 165 lbs for 6.13 ft). I have digestive issues too when i'm high on protein, so i try to find the good amout of quality protein, i mean amout of protein per kg of lean body weight. The more the protein ratio is low the more you have to increase your calories intake to meet the daily protein requirements to achieve your goal. In nature cows are on very low protein diet, and they can eat grass up to 10 % of body weight. Now all depends of your goal in terms of weight, performance, aesthetic, etc... I feel like 285 cal for 3 apples is overrated ! These days i blend spinach, bananas, blackberries and the head ofstinging nettle.

I'm glad to know you've had success building your body up on raw food and weight training! its a great way to be healthy and strong!

    Damn seeing you work out made me realize as long as I can get across the fatigue due to detox I want to go back to doing yoga...lol I know it sounds so damn cliche about females and yoga...but that's always been my dream to do!!! Cant wait...I've been vegan for a good month and I been feeling heavily in my intuition to transition to a raw vegan lifestyle because I have been eating to many processed foods and to much gluten and now my skin is starting to break out and I have been feeling so bloated...... I been feeling in my intuition to kick out grains and processed sugars out my diet ...and just get my starches from crunchy vegetables and fruits rather than bread
    ..

      I did yoga years ago and stopped after having a demonic experience -- in short, I experienced sleep paralysis and a black shadow spirit tried to talk me into having sex with it. Afterward, I researched yoga and discovered it's actually a Hindu religious ritual, not just mere exercise. Needless to say, I now avoid yoga. Check out ex-yoga teacher Mike Shreve's exposes on yoga to learn more.

    Water lentils sound great. it's growing here in north of France, in a pond... but I prefer very common local wild plants as a natural and local source of protein and minerals and fibers..., nettle. Nettle is known for very high rate of protein. I have some nettles in my background, i eat them raw and fresh. I mix them with dandelions and plantains, very common plants over here.

  • @naomilucindaa311
    @naomilucindaa311 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    In many ways this is true, but I just want to highlight the fact that it's still easy to accidentally eat a lot of extremely high calorie, high fat raw vegan meals and gain an excess amount of weight from this. It's easy to get into the mindset of thinking that avocados, nuts, dates, raw vegan cakes etc are healthy and overeat. I don't think this applies to fruits, vegetables and leafy greens but a lot of raw vegans have made the mistakes of having too many 'gourmet' raw vegan meals which can throw someone off the lifestyle when they become unhappy with the results they are getting so the kinds of raw meals someone is eating is always going to be the most important thing. For me personally I will always count calories of certain foods but not worry at all about others like juicy fruits.

      Harsh Bhatt Hi Thank you for your comment! I encourage you to start on the healing path of raw foods. I always recommend an extended juice fast to start because it cleans out the GI tract. There is no way to just start raw foods without struggle unless you clean out the bowels. It even with a juice fast starting a raw vegan diet can be challenging and you don’t want to make it harder on yourself than it has to be. You can always research food combinations but there is no substitution for simply learning through experimentation. That’s what I have done. I decided to go 100% raw cold turkey and never went back. I figured it all out as I went along. You can do the same. Just stay committed and trust the process! 🙏❤️

      @@RawVeganRising Thank you. I am interested and afraid at once. Some fears stem from an old eating disorder, and some stem from the financial aspect.
      Maybe you have already, but would you do a video on the cost of being raw vs cooked vegan. I eat clean but do eat cooked.
      The way Freelee eats seems like it would cost a fortune. I appreciate her, because her message is so strong, It seems so expensive, the way she eats.

      Personally I never track fiber because I get so much by default! Fiber is one of the amazing benefits of an all raw diet! The gut health is amazing!

  • @Ravi-ut7kk
    @Ravi-ut7kk 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Good video Shane, but as a raw vegan as well I have to disagree when you say calories dont need to be counted for a raw vegan diet. What's your bodyfat level? To get "ripped" or for people to achieve the body they desire you do have to track calories. Raw vegans I agree will be healthy no doubt I am not disputing that but from a body composition stand point calories do matter. I suppose it's what your "standards" are as far as body composition .

    Your life that you share with us is very inspiring and you motivate me to go back to 80% raw but I have a 9 to 5 job (but mostly 9 to 6:30!) in an office and raw is so difficult for those of us who have an office job... What job do you do?

      bluefairyuk Hi blue fairy, I am a health coach. I produce this TH-cam channel but also help people transition to raw food and go through juice fasts. I work from home which allows me to be more flexible with my time but I have worked very hard to create this. I used to work out of the house and it was very hard to be healthy with a lifestyle like that. So I’ve spent many years working to switch careers so I could live the lifestyle I really wanted to. If you ever need more info or support just reach out in an email or something. I’m always happy to help.

      Regardless of what you choose to eat, the key to success is in the planning and eating self prepared food as much as possible. It's actually easier eating raw food as you can pre-make things or just take a while lot of fruit plus some nuts & seeds to eat throughout the day.

      jennifer wright Oh I’m so glad to hear everything was encouraging and easy to understand! I really wish you success on healing the Gout. It’s important to understand Gout is simply inflammation from an overly acidic build up in the body. This happens because of constipation of the lymphatic system and is caused from congestive foods. Eliminate congestive foods like animal products, grains, oil, processed foods, sugar. Once you get the kidneys healthy and filtering again the Gout will be gone. If you need support just reach out to me. 🙏❤️❤️❤️

    • @RawVeganRising

      @UnbiasedHuman Yes, every disease known to man is caused from one thing only, congestion of the bowels, blood and lymph. Acid and mucous forming foods, considered healthy by today's standards, are actually the reason for all disease. A diet high in raw fruits and vegetables helps the body eliminate congestion and in doing so alleviates all disease.

    • @byReZio
      @byReZio 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Raw Vegan Rising You think you’re eliminating all the congestion but you’re only shitting crap load of fiber that passes through you very quickly because you can’t extract anything from it. The myth that is fiber... Our intestines have muscles and can perfectly eliminate the food without the need for fiber.
