Bloomer Recipe: 500g/17.6oz strong bread flour (or plain would do) 36p 30g/1.05oz toasted sesame seeds (optional) 14p 3 tbsp olive oil 35p 1 tsp salt 1 pkt dried yeast 6p 300ml tepid water Total COST: 91p Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl (including yeast). Make a well, and add the olive oil and tepid water. Mix together to form a rough dough, tip onto a floured surface and knead for 5/10 mins until dough feels smooth. Shape into a ball or oval shape *Preheat your AF for 10 mins at this point with crisper plate removed. place a sheet of parchment paper on the bottom of the AF and place your bread dough on top. cook on BAKE setting (or if you have just one AF setting - that will do the job) 200c/390f for 20 to 30 minutes. Depending on AF, you may need to flip for the last 5 mins. Once cooked (tap if sounds hollow or use a temp thermometer for temp range of 90c/195f to 99c/210f) place onto a rack and leave to cool thoroughly before slicing.
My Grandpa worked as a manager in a bakery (before the days of additives and preservatives) and he used to bring home fresh bread and ring doughnuts every day, there is nothing like the smell of warm bread and the taste is completely different from shop bought bread. I'm going to try your recipe Kerry, thank you for all your wonderful air fryer ideas, you are appreciated.
Having watched your wonderful Bovear videos, this is the first time I have watched one of your cooking videos, and you've made me really hungry, Kerry.😊 Many thanks.
Amazing bloomer Kerry well done you!! I love watching you 🥰 so down to earth & you always explain things so we all can easily understand! I’d love a slice of your bloomer now with just butter. You’ve made me feel hungry 😘
A tip I got off someone, if you dont want to keep adding extra flour, just lightly oil surface to knead dough. This has worked for me, your loaf looked great, you can't beat home made. Nice addition of the sesame seeds.
At the end of the street when i was young there was a bakers and the bread was delivered at 5am every day except Sunday my mum or Nan would go and get bloomers several times a week and rolls crusty rolls for my dads lunch (he did 12hour shifts five days a week and if me or my brother needed shoes or school uniforms he'd do Saturday and Sunday too !) the bakers were owned by the same family that ran the chippy the daughter of the family ran the baers till 1 pm , then worked in the chippy , me and my dad liked the bread well done so they would put the darker bread and roll one side for us ..its a long winded way of saying try baking it longer you won't regret it , when i can get crusty bread i bung it in the oven when cooking chicken improves the flavour immensely 😊😊 love your cooking Kerry 👏👏👏🤘
I am new to your channnel and i have just made my first loaf with a wrigts packet and it turned out amazing. Will certainly try that bloomer recipe of yours cos it looks yummy. ❤❤
Hi Kerry... Wow, what a fantastic bloomer loaf and it looked as though it tasted great too. Thank you for another great recipe, love your channel... Take care , Tilly x
Corrrr . . . I ❤ making bread, it's so easy and tastes delish. I usually make mine the lengthy, traditional way baked in the oven but would definitely try this. Once people get the hang of it, there's no need for the supermarket loaves. Lovely recipe, Kerry. 😻
Wow that looks amazing, I must give that a try. West Country butter from Lidil is delicious, a little too delicious 😋 thank you for the recommendation.
Oh we love a seeded bloomer,I don't make them myself as Carol doesn't eat bread on her diet so i would end up eating the whole loaf but when she's off the diet we buy one and toast it in the air fryer and have coronation chicken as a topping,if I cant get that I make egg mayonnaise, your bloomer is amazing looking, better than some I've seen in our bakery,I thought with the new Cosori you didn't need to flip because of the bottom element, great video Kerry you're a professional ❤Xx
Awww thank you Ricky, professionally scatty perhaps 😂 I think the parchment paper poss wasn't needed. I'm making more tonight, Al saw me editing it and wondered why he hadn't had a slice! Oops!! Carol is a stronger woman than me💪😀💕hope it wasn't too windy for you
@budgetcookinguk The storm was horrendous Kerry,I thought our bedroom windows was coming in through the night,we didn't have any damage, just the barbecue ended up in the middle of the garden and a couple of big glazed pots blown over and the plants scattered about,my Daughter Claire had two fence panels blown down and there is quite a few trees down and damage to property,I was supposed to be working but they shut the store thankfully, hope you and the family are keeping well and your Dad👍 💕Xx
Oh my! Thank you for yet another lovely bread recipe, Kerry! 👍 I'm going to have to try this one, next time my daughter visits (she does the kneading for me, bless her, as we both love toasted sesame seeds, & I happen to have some, untoasted, ones in the cupboard! Lol It's as well she's not here all the time, or I'd pile on the weight with all that lush bread, & lashings of butter!.🤣🤣🤣
Well this has made me feel really hungry plus I’m meant to be on a diet, looks like that resolution will get broken tomorrow 🤭 I’ve got poppy seeds which I’ll sprinkle on top 😋😋😋 Shame I only have a ninja, maybe have to make a couple of small ones 🥖 thanks for sharing Kerry 👍🏻
@ will do thanks. I must like tormenting myself as I’ve just watched another bread recipe from a Greek/American lady Dimitrias dishes, feta flat bread, that would be interesting to see what it would be like cooked in the air fryer! 😋😋😋😋
That bread looked amazing. Did you leave the crisper plates in and I assume you put the Cosori on bake ? I’ve been trying bread on 160, I was surprised you put it on 200 thinking it would be too hot?
Your bread looked very tasty , was simple enough to make as well . I like a nice loaf , but sadly it doesn’t like me , well my weight anyway . Maybe I have a bit to much if it’s homemade , thanks for sharing .
Hi. I’ve got the Ninja flexi dual drawer. So by taking out the middle I can have the large drawer like you have. I’ve got a proving setting on mine. Have you ever used this? Xx
That looks lovely.😋 I've been trying to bake bread for the last 6 months. It keeps coming out very dense and stodgy. I'm using a similar recipe to this but without the sesame seeds. I've only had it perfect twice. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. More yeast?
@budgetcookinguk oh thank you Kerry. I'm not badly intolerant, i just get very bloated and uncomfortable with it. I've had a look at einkorn flour and wondered what it is like, i made some bread from oats which wasn't a great success, i think it needed a lower temperature and cooking for a lot longer.
Hi Kerry. Great video. Id love to bake bread. I don't have an airfryer. What kind of flour were you shaking over it when you were moving it around on the counter? Thanks 💜 😊
I hope you don’t mind me pointing this out Kerry but there’s no need to put in the parchment paper. That Cosori air fryer has dual elements, top and bottom, hence no need to flip anything. I have the same air fryer so I’ll definitely be trying out that recipe, thanks x
Do not mind at all Valerie 😀👍💕 old habits die hard lol. I'll try without the parchment tomorrow as I've made it again and its sitting on the counter rising overnight. Al saw me editing and wondered why he hadn't had a slice! Oops!!
Warning look into please . Morrison's had there flower with bugs in it from the wef ? A lady asked about Morrison's brand flour it took her 3 4 attempts to get a proper answer from them . Yes bugs from wef are in flour . Is it meal worm . ? So is our commercial bread containing the mix of bugs in your flour . ???

Thank you 😀💕
Lovely bread!👍 I also make bread but let it rise only once, for 2hours. I add carraway seeds and salt. Love carraway seeds in bread😋👌
Hi Kerry, the bread looks great! Thanks take care.
Looks fantastic, we need smell tube
If you make a brown bloomer put a teaspoon of caraway seeds in it-now that is tasty bread?that looked delicious Kerry👌
Yummmm. That bread looks delish. Will have to try that in my Cosori oven (might have to halve ingredients though 😊).
Omg Kerry you are certainly getting a professional in this bread making, it looks amazing. Well done ❤

Aw Sue I'm sorry I made you hungry - split the dough in half and warm the drawers to let the dough rise on the 2nd go👍💕
@ will do thanks. I must like tormenting myself as I’ve just watched another bread recipe from a Greek/American lady Dimitrias dishes, feta flat bread, that would be interesting to see what it would be like cooked in the air fryer! 😋😋😋😋

Hi Kerry, please state which model of Cosori Air Fryer you are using.
Many thanks for everything……

More yeast?
Off to look at more bread videos you've done, hoping to find a gluten free one. Homemade bread is the best, like many things.
Becky I don't have a gluten free one I'm sorry! But I will add that to my to do list😀👍💕
@budgetcookinguk oh thank you Kerry. I'm not badly intolerant, i just get very bloated and uncomfortable with it. Hi Kerry. Great video. Id love to bake bread. I don't have an airfryer. What kind of flour were you shaking over it when you were moving it around on the counter? Thanks 💜 😊
can one add milled flaxseeds?
Yes! Definitely - my original recipe had 30g of flaxseed as well as the sesame seeds👍💕
@@budgetcookinguk ah wonderful news kerry x
@@budgetcookinguk what about 60% wholemeal and 40% white flour?
Kerry, can this be made inside a fan oven?
Also can i substitute the bread flour with plain flour from supermarkets? Thanks
Absolutely yes😀👍💕use this recipe oven instructions for the bread- very similar www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/easy-bake-bread
I hope you don’t mind me pointing this out Kerry but there’s no need to put in the parchment paper. That Cosori air fryer has dual elements, top and bottom, hence no need to flip anything. I have the same air fryer so I’ll definitely be trying out that recipe, thanks x

Ive got the cosori dual blaze i just put it on the bottom without the crisper tray or paper as as it has the burner on bottom and top no need to turn
Yummy got to try this, have you ever done sourdough in the AF ❤
Thank you Karen😀👍💕I bought a sourdough starter kit but failed miserably poss from a cold house I'm not sure yet. Definitely will revisit soon!
How much yeast is in a packet to add to your recipe. I don't have the little packets, i buy yeast in bulk
Look like my mum’s old Bloomer’s
😂😂😂
Scraggy is a word in Australia. 😂
I watched a lot of neighbours back in the day Caroline 😂
Must have a go at this, i need some stale bread for bread pudding as well as bread and butter with a nice lump of cheese. Thank you🤗

The irony.... helping us all avoid Bovaer for our health and you're using an Airfryer = which is MORE dangerous for your health 😢
How is an air fryer dangerous to health ?
