Personally: The best car design ever. Each detail inside and outside is absolutely amazing.

I am commenting in 2024 and I own a 2013 SL63 AMG. It is the most BADASS design on the road of any Mercedes. Many called the design ugly, but they never considered the intimidation factor and heritage details the car has. Today’s cars are a joke of confused transitional technology. No soul and no remembrance of past greatness. I’ve owned an R107 560sl for 30 yrs, I know what I’m talking about. The R231 pre-facelift will be a future classic of hardtop design and engineering without cost considerations.

Mercedez and Dave, I'm trying to find what the added ABC option will do. This video showed it on the buttons. This car has it - but he mentioned only standard Active Suspension. QUESTIONS: 1. Will ABC do more than lean into corners? Meaning will it add to comfort on rough roads and expansion joints on roads? 2. This video shows the "raise car" function. I assume to avoid driveways and high speed bumps? Can you use it for smoother ride? Thanks.

I wasn't going to watch this walk around, but then I saw it was a walk around with DAVE LARSEN!
Fun fact: He never gets up and walks around the car!

A question about the cooled seats: Are they designed to work with the top down? Doesn't the AC have to run for them to function?

The r231 is the Best SL ever made. The R232 2022 is a major step back unfortunately. I always wished the M256 would be offered like an SL 53 AMG which would have been reminiscing the original 300 SL with also inline 6 …
