I witnessed this ceremony with the son of a good friend as the groom. He was an Annapolis graduate. One thing that was different, as the bride and groom passed each pair in the arch, their swords were lowered and crossed. "The price of passage is a kiss" was repeated four times until the couple reached the end. And yes, the bride was swatted at the end with "Go Navy!"

The theme for JAG should've deserved to be heard on NCIS,NCIS:Los Angeles & NCIS:New Orleans and maybe Hawaii Five-0 each time there's an episode with a lawyer from the United States Navy Judge Advocate General Corps appearing in it as a remembrance to the series JAG that lasted 10 seasons.

As a retired Army and Navy Veteran this scene was on point. Yes this was an all Naval/USMC tradition not Army/Airforce. The Navy/USMC/USAF has a cut and stab sword Army has Saber's. Finally the swat on the bottom is for good luck keep it Navy (Go Navy) and you're a NAVY Wife for ever! Loved this clip for the accuracy.

Sadly not, even if JAG hadn't been cancelled, David James Elliott's contract was not renewed after series 10, the makers of JAG were seriously considering killing off Harm. When CBS cancelled the show, they put together the ending in two weeks. From some hints in an interview that Catherine Bell gave, there might have been some sort of relationship between Mac and Vukovic.

You know they could have one done a TV movie for Hram and Mac getting married, as while family life. I know cbs did that for Walker Texas Ranger, Doctor Quinn, and handfull of other shows. If they would have done that. That would have simply covered it all. But sadly they didn't. Something else they should have done, (I know they did it a little bit, but not much)
they could have done more crossover with NCIS that would have covered it.
I know NCIS Needed to be its show with out JAG in it all the time. But I think that would have helped both shows a lot more in the long run. such as Gibbs and Harm meet again/ working together (under much friendlier circumstances).
Mac become good friends with Gibbs because of him being a fellow marine.
I guess kinda what they do now. I just wish they would have done that more back in the JAG was going.
It would have been fun to see that go on.

Should have been a 2 star by the time NCIS LA... Or married to Mac. He wasnt even the CAG, which would have made "some' sense. He was X.O. of the ship and Mac was still only an LTC after (9) years. She should have been a full colonel or general, and/or married to Harm successfully. Horrible way to treat our beloved characters.

There would have been issues with his record - disobeying direct orders, wilful negligence, unauthorised absence, negligent discharge of firearms, commandeering military equipment, theft of another nation's property... Would not do Harm that good
And as for Mac, well... She had the murder charge on her record (albeit dropped), drunkenness, bringing the USMC into dishonour, negligent discharge of a firearm, disobeying orders of a superior officer, aiding and abetting, an affair whilst in uniform - plus the time she took away from the Marines... Thats not a good look either

I love this scene, but the one I love more is from the end of the first season of Call the Midwife, where a police officer and a midwife get married. The arch is police officers in full dress uniform making up one side of the arch batons on the groom's side, and midwives in outside uniform (50's style, so uniform dress, nice shoes, hat, cardigan) holding up pinards making the side of the arch on the bride's side. No bum swatting there, though.

If Annie Pendry hadn't dumped Harm despite that he took her son with him to be on a US Navy ship instead of a regular boat, would she attend Bud & Harriett's wedding or not?

  • @azurerainbow4637

If Annie Pendry didn't break up with Harm weeks before Bud married Harriett, she would've cried at the military wedding and maybe Harm would've asked her to marry him. Annie's son would've been so happy to hear it but got disappointed when Annie told Josh that she doesn't want to see or hear from Harm again and doesn't want Josh to see or hear from Harm again either.
