Omgosh ! I’m glad you continued on amidst bear scare and were ok making noise and with bear bells and spray! I would’ve reacted the sameeee way !!! 😵 I’ve only seen black bears before once a mom and her two Cubs and that has been enough for meee 😮 beautiful hike hope to pull through with this one!
There might still be snow in the month of May. You should check trail reports online and check with the park staff at their visitors centre. If you have experience hiking with a baby, you can give it a try. At the very least, you can hike the first section of the trail. Getting to Marmot Meadow itself is a wonderful experience.
