I agree that not all of us can operate at 100% all the time. With that having been said, a lot of evenings when we’re tired, we might not be in the mood for language learning. However, when you mix entertainment with language learning, the results are oftentimes better. I like to use Immersive Translate to watch my shows and movies on Netflix, and this has really helped me in my language learning journey so far. I’ve already learned a lot and couldn’t be happier.
Very nice! That's what I'm talking about :). If we can make our learning fun and engaging, then we make our life a lot easier. Of course, low effort activities are not as efficient as high effort activities, but we need to take into account also our energy levels and the time we are able to spend with the language. This way sometimes low effort activities even get us further.
Hey, please keep making Videos! Ich lerne Deutsch für fast 2 Jahre und ich finde Ihre Videos hilfreich zum Sprachenlernen. Ich werde weiterhin Ihre Videos anschauen, um selbst zu motivieren. Danke sehr 😁
Great tips! When I'm tired i watch a "easy" TV series in my target language (Zero or Generazione 56K) that I have watched before. Every time I watch I pick up more details I didn't understand and since I already know the story its easy to follow. At my level I always leave the captions on in Italian but -I use the Google translate camera option and pause the video if something is puzzling. I'll even pause and repeat the words, shadowing if you will. It sounds like a lot but I'm really just sitting on the couch. Take care 🙂
Very cool! That's some good advice, repeating stuff that you know already. As long as it doesn't become boring or tedious :). I have never thought about using the Google camera translate option to use it for translating subtitles… That's a great idea… Sometimes it can be so easy! Will definitely try it out. And then also doing some shadowing is super powerful. But that's learning! Learning doesn't mean that you have to sit at a table working with a boring grammar book. Have a great day!
Hey Dustin, I bloody love your content bro and look forward to each video. I myself am learning french and im at 700h, i think ive watched your free 950h and 1600h videos 6 times each. Id love to see a video showing your speaking level now and it really encourages me to get going. Thanks again and have a good day brother
You made my day Sean! Thank you so much for your positive feedback. This means the world to me. So cool that you are also tracking your hours spent learning French. How is it going? What is your current focus? There will be definitely some more speaking videos of the languages I'm learning at some point. Just didn't have a good opportunity yet. Have a great start into the week :).
Hi Dustin! Thank you for replying, im doing great with my learning and try to get a minimum of 5-6 hours a day and im really seeing a lot of progress. Currently just past the 750h mark and really loving the ability to watch anime in french without subtitles and still enjoy it! Can really feel myself getting better each week and im starting to talk a lot more now as id like to improve my speaking ability a lot more. My plan initially was to be able to understand what was being asked of me first and then foguring out to reply. I really feel my comprehension is at a good point now to enjoy chatting. So im going to try chat for an hour a day and build up that speaking progress. My plan is to get to B2 by September which will be a year since I started studying.
@@seanmaher3018 Wow, 5-6 hours a day! You are a serious language learner! That's the best, when you feel you're making progress, and you're doing stuff that you like. I think you should be well able to understand what your interlocutor is saying, so don't be afraid to start speaking. I find it useful to prepare a short speaking script, with the most important points and have it next to me, when I'm in the lesson (online). An hour of speaking a day goes a long way, and you'll be able to notice lots of progress. Good luck with that! Keep me posted, how you're doing :).
Hey sir 😁 I just discovered your channel and there is nothing more motivating than your videos. Je suis entrain d’apprendre l’anglais et vos vidéos m’aident à énormément à m’améliorer tout les jours 😁 Continue to publish good videos like this 🎉
Heey thank you so much for your positive comment :). C'est vraiment cool ! J'espère pouvoir t'aider un peu avec mes vidéos :). Si tu as des questions ou des sujets sur lesquels je devrais faire une vidéo, fais-le moi savoir. Thanks to such kind comments like yours I have the motivation to keep going!
Do you have any other tips when it comes to learning a language?
Thank you so much for watching! 🤗
