I wouldn’t do it! People can say whatever they want about themselves on those sites - a lot of what is not true. Many of them even post pictures that aren’t even them! If I was dating again I would join club or groups that I am interested in - like a choir or theatre (I know you like both of those 😀). This way when you do meet someone you have a chance to meet the real them and it will be someone that likes something that you do! I hope you meet the sweetest woman ever 🥰
My situation is similar to yours and I went on a dating app for the first time in my mid 30’s after a divorce. Met my partner on that app!! Go for it!!

The only advice I can give you about joining a dating app is to be really clear about the type of relationship you're looking for and only meet someone after you know they're looking for the same. Be willing to meet someone at a public place if you both believe there is a possible connection. Obviously be cautious regarding introducing anyone new to your children, (I'd probably do a background search first). Maybe discuss this with Jamie, you both always put your children first and are in the same situation regarding dating and keeping your children safe! I did the online dating sites after 25 yrs of marraige were broken. You start out texting, if comfortable you elevate to phone call, & if you think you'd like to meet. You meet halfway for coffee. A meal or whatever. And you either end it or continue. Another good one is parents without partners that has social events. Nice video Skyler. Joining a dating app isn't always the safest thing to do.. people aren't always who they say they are and in fact you get that right here on TH-cam, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. People enjoy pretending to be other people and don't care who they hurt in the process as long as they are entertained. What song story have I given you exactly? Did I ask anyone to pay for my mother's funeral? Hmmm nope , we took care of that. How about money for my leg removed? Nope didn't ask for anything there . My brother died 4 days ago. Did I ask you or anyone for money ? No, don't think so.
Infact the job that I had prior to my leg removal, was actually very awesome and I got a very high pay grade . I actually took very good care of my patients and I was able to take care of my parents , my grand babies and all that stuff.
I don't ever ask anyone to feel sorry for me. First off there is nothing others can do to make things easier or better .
Second , I don't have to lie , I have those cool things called obituaries. Would you like them ? Are you that crazy ? LOL oh yeah, I have pics of removed legs that are actually mine.

Nice video Skyler. Joining a dating app isn't always the safest thing to do.. people aren't always who they say they are and in fact you get that right here on TH-cam, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. People enjoy pretending to be other people and don't care who they hurt in the process as long as they are entertained. I suggest getting out in the public and meeting people in community events and groups.
