Out standing! I've been stuffing around for weeks trying to make very complex frames for Canva, now I'm punching out one every couple of minutes. Thank You
Thank you so much! You're step by step tutorial was perfect, and I was able to create the custom frame I needed. I've subscribed to your page and liked your video! Thank you again.
ok running into some issues - can you create a frame with an already created image from canva? (a graphic i created) tried converting PNG to PDF but the layers/paths are already consolidated to one and makes it unable to pick up and mask layer
+Sydney Wallach maybe a work around would be to save the graphic from Canva in pieces- if that’s possible then frame the separate parts and recombine? When I run into ‘difficult’ graphics like that I turn to Adobe illustrator, use the “trace” interface and go from there.
Hello Bradley awesome video. Would you be able to create a video on how to create a Canva drag-and-drop frame of a blank white round ceramic Christmas ornament that still can show the gold string inserted into the hole of the ornament to look realistic? I want to create a mockup. I would surely appreciate it.
can you tell me how we save it in canva after we convert it to a frame so we can add it to our uploads?Great tutorial btw - you are very clear and concise!
Thank you! Glad I could help. You open the saved pdf as part of a project then just save as usual (which then makes it a “canva” file). It’s not an upload like an image/logo/etc., it opens like a project.
The image has to be a vector image, not raster. Canva can export as an svg, but I haven’t tried using any Canva native elements or graphics for this process.
Hi Bradley, Thank you for sharing such great content. I have been designing graphics myself for various projects and was looking for a channel which could take my skill up a notch and I am glad I found one!
Hi I have paths that overlap each other in the graphic I am using, so when I press join paths, the overlapping sections dont work - they appear white. Any ideas?
I thought I would ask an expert :) You. Do you know how I can make a frame fit an object, so I have a square that is tilted (screwed) a bit, how can I make a frame fit into that. Do I need to create a custom frame for it? I can only scale or rotate a frame, and that is not working, and I can't find a frame with the same look. Thank you Sincerely, Karima
If I’m hearing you correctly, you want a tilted image inside a tilted frame. That’s easy… when you build your custom frame, make sure the sample jpg image you fill it with is also tilted- this sets the “rules” of the frame. When you open it in canva and fill it, whatever you use will be tilted like the sample jpg you used.
@@bubsgal106 Yes, just fill each piece of the frame you want to be able to fill w/ something different with a separate .jpg. It can be copies of the same .jpg, as long as the piece is filled separately it will work. Remember that your frame has to be in multiple pieces too...
+kumutuna I’m hearing that the app is now a paid-only. I’ll jump in and see if that could be the reason for grayed out options. When I made the tutorial there was a free option of the app.

Glad I could help! I was on the fence about letting this one out of the bag 🤫🤣, but I want people to be able to create cool things.
@Bradley Teaches Glad you did, also checked out other vids, I'm becoming a fan 😁
Thank you! Let me know if there is something you’d like to see, always trying to create something new to empower folks to create.

Wow! This is a bit advanced for me but this is very cool! Something to work towards and play around with. Thanks for figuring this all out.
My pleasure! I love getting in my design lab and figuring out new ways to do things.
Yes! This is just what I needed. I will try it now step-by-step. Thank you So much!!

@@BradleyTeaches Thank you yes but what format do I save as - can you not then save it as a png and add to your uploads?
I tried doing this with a canva element that was a silhouette however it didnt work. what am I doing wrong? it was a yoga pose

Great tutorial!
Definitely going to sub. Could use your knowledge for future projects!
Thank you so much. If you need any help let me know. #KeepCreating
@@BradleyTeaches awesome! 🙏. Have a great weekend my friend. 💯
You too.

Amazing tutorial, Just what I needed, thank you so so much :)
Thank you for watching! Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like to learn.
On Corel, my only layer says "image" with no paths to remove. I do not want an outer frame. Should I try to find a similar silhouette and start over?
Is the graphic a vector graphic? This technique works for vector graphics, not raster.
I love the way you teach us! super amazing!
Thank you so much for the kind words!

hey, can we use corel vector to create multi layer custom frames version? if so, how to do it?
Do you mean a multi-piece frame (different parts can be filled with different things) or ‘stacked’ layers?
@@BradleyTeaches yes, multi-piece frame
@@bubsgal106 Yes, just fill each piece of the frame you want to be able to fill w/ something different with a separate .jpg. It can be copies of the same .jpg, as long as the piece is filled separately it will work. Remember that your frame has to be in multiple pieces too...
I get all the way until I select the two and press mask. That option isnt avail its gray. Hmmm what am i doing wrong

Does this work for the free Canva accounts?
Frames work in free accounts.
What if I'm bringing in my own image, how do i convert it to a vector?
+Barbra you’re going to have to use another app to make it a vector image then you can follow my steps.
Can this be done for Kittl ?
+@xzario11 never used kittl, I’ll try to add it to my queue of software to try.
wow! amazing!
Thank you!
+Ricardo Médici thank you!
perfect
Awesome. Thank you. New subscriber.
+Miss Molly super awesome! Thank you for the sub!
Wooow
Right?! LOL! It's easy when you use the right tools.
Another useless tutorial. Corel Vector is a paid thing and can't be used without payment
The app had a free option when I created the tutorial. Unfortunately, I cannot control what the apps I use decide to do.
