I'll be honest... I'm no fan of the Trumps, but just on the matter of style and taste, I personally liked Melania's better. Michelle's was warm and inviting, but it's also more of the stereotypical Christmas aesthetic. I enjoyed the cooler, monochromatic tones of Melania's. Some people see it as cold, but I see it as serene.

Yes I like more color than the both of them! I got that from my mother we go color over load and only use color lights lol But Melania's is sleek nice and cool and looks like icy winter wonderland! So they both remind me of Christmas and I love them both but we only use green real trees and color lights but one year they were selling a fake white tree so cheap we bought it and loved it! So now we actually do BOTH styles in our house lol

They are both beautiful in their own ways. I liked Melania’s decor because it shows elegance and light like Melania herself and is very aesthetically pleasing, however the big tree doesn’t have a lot of variety in its hues and decoration like Michelle’s. I liked Michelle’s decor because it was not too harsh on the eyes with the bright colors and was a classic look. her video also shows many people coming together, which is what the Christmas spirit is about.

I love the warm tones of Michelle Obama's decorations personally. Cool Winter wonderland is pretty and all but Christmas is a time for family, warming up by the fire, and cosy traditions. Michelle's decor captures the spirit and welcoming of an All American holiday.

They’re both very beautiful. However, Melania’s made me feel as though I was inserted into a scene from the movie, Frozen...a sleek winter fashion fantasy. Michelle’s version felt familiar...it reminded me of how Christmas once felt in every American home (but, on steroids..there’s a lot of trees and ornaments...lol)...But, it was warm and inviting...I could smell fresh cookies baking while anxiously waiting to sip my first eggnog of the season.

There is no comparison. Melania Trump’s decor reflects a coldness that’s is part of her personality. Everything is metallic and untraditional. Michelle Obama highlights tradition and warmth. It’s clear which woman values the promise of christmas, while the other - and she said it in the recorded conversation with her friend - has no interest in the decor or her role!

I prefer Melania’s design. Very modern. It makes the White House look like a palace and it makes the entire place look immaculate. Michelle’s makes it feel like a cozy home decor but Melania’s theme is more... modern and 20th century so I prefer hers.
The whole idea of Carte Blanche when you want to decorate for Christmas would be a dream come true; and then someone else takes it down and stores it. LOVE CHRISTMAS!
