The fact that 120k people clicked on this video shows how much we all cared about Arthur and had that little bit of hope that we could save him from his tragic death.
For at least a year after it came out I was fully expecting an undead nightmare dlc with Arthur back from the grave. Still haven't forgiven R.G.

There is a way to save Arthur. You play the game. No seriously. The TB took his life but saved his soul and put him on the path to redemption and being a good man as he could be. This made him one of the most iconic characters that many people would cry over when he died or went on his last ride. So to save Arthur Morgan you complete the game and keep the lessons he learned and do your best to be a better person than you were yesterday.

What would have been cool is if in the end, Arthur survives and you get to play as Arthur AND John and you can switch characters just like in GTA. And you still get to play all John's missions and Arthur would have his own epilogue missions too, involving marrying Mary and having another kid and naming him after his first kid that died. And he could buy the Hanging Dog Ranch where Arthur and Sadie killed all those O'Driscolls at and live there with Mary and their kid. And Arthur could help John, Uncle and Charles build John's ranch. I think that would be a perfect alternate ending. Anyone agree?

*Spoilers for RDR1*
No it would break the storyline. First off, in RDR1, there is no mentions of Arthur, and considering the timeline takes place a few years after epilogue, it wouldnt make sense. Second off, the whole reason John later died in RDR1 is because he didnt listen to Arthurs advice, revenge is a fools game, and him and Sadia and Charles went to kill Micha, which the Pinkertons later linked John to the murder and found him and his family. Third off, the whole reason John continued to help his family is because of Arthurs sacrifice. Fourth off, Arthur was a huge motivation to all characters, they all wanted to honor him. Fifth off, if you get 100% in RDR2, you get a cutscene of John standing over Arthurs grave saying “Guess we’re just about done, my friend.” Proving even more how much of a inspiration Arthurs death was to John
Would it be cool if Arthur was still alive? Yes, absolutely. But it cant be done without majorly breaking the storyline. The whole epilogue, and even RDR1 would have to be remade to fit Arthur being alive.

This is my third attempt to try and finish the game, I finally came to the part where he was diagnosed, now I wish I never played it. The game is so good and deep that you can feel as a character living a life with the gang. Now I'm so sad, like I'm really loosing a friend. To me, this game will be masterpiece.
Sean was my favourite character, so after the grays shot him, between missions, I would throw dynamite and fire bottles at he gray manner

I swear I was just starting to really like and appreciate Sean, and then out of nowhere he's dead. Genuinely made me a bit sad knowing that I'd never hear his funny accent and phrases again.

If GTAV can have an option to save all characters from their deaths, why can't red dead do the same? (although still kill Micah) It just seems so unfair, also judging by the fact that I think red dead is the best game by far, better than GTAV and any other game, and to kill a legendary character off like that, it really hurts and messes with people. I for one, actually teared up at his death and I've been getting depressed because of it. WE NEED ARTHUR BACK!! We miss you.

No matter what or who you are, when is your time is your time, enjoy the pressent Ladies and gentleman cause every day is a Glorious day.
I am currently starting a new chapter just to cherish what he could have done if he was still alive and he is in our Hearths ❤
If rockstar kept aurthor alive then the ending would be much better because we played almost the whole game as aurthor, so, we felt a good connection with this character....😞

Just restart the game and never go to doctor.. because no point of doing all the missions as he gonna die at the end anyway .. just leave last few chapters and keep aurthur alive .. do fishing and eat on time . He won't loose weight either

Rockstars games they killed him just like that there is no reason ,, at least they let him die with the disease , after years ,, why they killed him that way ?!!! all scenarios he died a horrible death ... there is no honor or bad in they way he died,, if he died peacefully cared by someone in his last days it's could be better then kill him that's way ,, ( the only message i get from the game that Dutch he is a real son of b*** not micah not anyone ) even trevor in GTA V didn't let his friends behind ,, really rockstars they didn't choose a good ending to the main character,, and for the information i didn't complete the Game , when i feel like the Devs want to kill arthur in the doctor visit ..... i looked in the internet and i stop the progress i didn't play it next , cuz ,, really its a stupid ending for the story ....... i know it"s just a game ,, but they didn't think it"s look like the Devs wanted to finish the game without thinking about the end of story ,, ' Guys this is it lets Kill Arthur and give people some missions after then and let people play ONLINE ,, and im sure that Dutch he is one of the Devs " we will get money and get the hell out of here '' ....

for arthur to die, it gives you more emotions, remeberance, and heorism that would dig into you, and that is what rockstar wanted, to make the story have an impact
