First time i have made this public but, when my father passed away, it was watching the OFAH dvd box set that kept a smile on my face. After alot of googling, I managed to find his managers email address and asked her to pass on mine and my family's appreciation to David Jason for the joy himself and the rest of the team brought so many of us - especially during the sad times. To my surprise, Sir David personalized a reply with his condolences for my loss and appreciation for the email through his manager - to me! He didn't have to - but he did! A decent man through and through in my eyes! :)
He is my favorite actor. I never cared for Del as a character because he's arrogant but that just shows how convincing his acting is. I always wondered if he was as nice as I hoped he was. I am happy to hear he is.
Sorry for ur loss brother. The show brought so much happiness to our household. It was my eldest brother who got me and my other brother and my sister into this show. We would be sat in our front room watching it together, all of us laughing as a family. I miss those days, and I miss my brother!

Comedy just isn't the same these days :( And don't get me wrong, every decade has had its problems, some things about the past were better, many things were worse, but at the end of the day, you're right that things were simpler. Music was better than in the 80's, generally haha. Women's rights weren't quite as developed as they are now, and the economy hit a real low point, but in GENERAL, I think this would've been "my" decade. I pretty much would've been able to live the exact same life as I have 🤷♀ And then I would've been around to see this gem aired ☺

That "vot eez your name" line from Albert was perfect, great writing the way they introduced Albert was great writing but it was so obvious he was absolutely born to play this role, the whole cast were all just perfect for the roles, even the supporting characters. Never saw something on tv so unique as Only Fools.
Amazing how there was a reference to Open all hours, Del Boy wheelchair was better than Granville bicycle with squeaky wheels 😂 What a genius was Sullivan

Why was there a warning of “offensive language”? This was shown prime time not after 21:00. There’s absolutely nothing offensive with Only Fools & Horses. Absolutely brilliant comedy.

Grandad was actually in 3 Xmas episodes . Shown around Xmas and actually have Xmas in the episodes. He was never in a feature length Xmas episode rhe I agree. Ironically most of opah Xmas episodes from 1985 onwards were not actually Xmas themed .
I absolutely love the commercial that preceded before this about Anthony Gonzalez who got extremely wounded fighting in Iraq I believe and my heart goes out to him and his family I would love to meet this gentleman in person who physically gave his life for his country and now he has to suffer physically for it I pray he gets everything he needs he earned it
