    This the second video in the 3-Part series where we walk through a Pre-Flight of the Aventura II Amphibious Seaplane. BE sure to check out Part-3 where we get to GO FLYING! Find that after watching this one here:

    The control surfaces sure make loud whooshing sounds!! Cool video! Great plane!

    Nice detailed walk around - doesn't miss anything - kind'a walk around a good pilot would expect. My personal first glance at the aircraft profile gave it the name Ugly Duckling.But Hay !! So is the WW II, Catalina PBY-5a Flying Boat which saved more pilots lives and sunk more subs than any other aircraft in WW II. So who am I to judge a water-bird on looks alone. I love birds that Fly. And water birds have a special place in my hart. ~ your neighbor

    Two things I noticed he didn't do during his preflight. One, he didn't run his hand down the leading edge of each prop blade to check for nicks and crackes. Two, he didn't check for water in the fuel. I wonder if the fuel system has a water/fuel seperator and/or it is not required for direct fuel injection.

    1/10th of the cost of an Icon A-5. Nice little plane!

    Is there a fairing for the engine

    I just wondering what your weather limitations might be flying and landing on land and on the lakes of Florida?

    Is there any discernible performance improvement if the gear is retracted? (In the air I mean, I get that you Take-Off run will be extended if you leave your gear up for a runway take off!)
    Also, do you think you could get some larger tires onto it? I will be operating out of a prepared grass RWY (that I share with the sheep).

      I don't believe there is much difference up or down but maybe slightly. They are using a variety of tire sizes but the bigger you go, I am told, the more bouyancy the tires have and to extend down under water for "beaching" may be difficult. Otherwise...me personally... I would like to see a BUSH-STOL version with big fat squishy tires/tyres on it! :-)

    Would this aircraft require a pilots license?

    The reason the funny sounds don't seem to be working to engage people is because, we (myself included) were trying to figure out if it was real or fake sound... Put a silly visual in so we know the sounds are fake, then it will work,, (and be slightly amusing) ; )

    Aren't the wings and tail made of fibre plastic.

    • @ExperimentalAircraftChannel
      @ExperimentalAircraftChannel  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Victor Konsam The wings and tail surfaces are made from 4oz Dacron Sail Cloth. Very common material used in aviation.

    Why would you add in the silly noises when control surfaces are checked?

    • @ExperimentalAircraftChannel
      @ExperimentalAircraftChannel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Simply trying some new things. Every day is a new day for learning and I just thought I would try out some sound effects. I personally thought it was a bit FUN/FUNNY. I do appreciate you checking out the other episodes! Thanks for watching!

      @@ExperimentalAircraftChannel if I'm being honest I was wondering why his aileron was making a funny noise then I realised it was added. Only stumbled across your channel today after watching the ones on the zenith 701 with the ul power 350. I will check out your channel more later.

      @@ExperimentalAircraftChannel it was funny. Also, for money spent, this little seabird outshines the Icon A5.

      Was wondering too , jess he must be very abrupt with the control surfaces for that to happen , then realised he wasn't that abrupt ..... so then ah haha that was a clever touch of story telling ..... to get the sensation of movement across and funny too.

    That would be great at $20,00 to $30,000. but AT around $60,000 that's ridiculous.

      Laddie.... I believe you can get into flying with the Single-Seat UL for around $25k and change all in. Then the Two-Seater is much bigger, holds 600lbs payload (which is amazing), off the water in 6 seconds and climbs 1300fpm-1500fpm. It's actually quite a package for the price especially for a kit. But... can't please everyone all of the time. Most of the time?? I think so! :-) If not this, than something! I invite you to build something, anything... and fly it. Thanks for watching! "Just Build It."
