Ever since Drizzle season 2 the maps have gotten really good, Crableg Capitol, Shipshape Cargo Co, Mahi-Mahi Resort rework, Robo ROM-en and Bluefin Depot are all very solid stages, hopefully we'll see a rework of Scorch Gorge, Eeltail Alley or Mincemeat Metalworks this season too
I love these new maps. I didn't really like Bluefin in Splatoon 1, but I'm having sooooooo much fun in 3. I felt they did an amazing job with this map. And I really like the gimmick for the new Ramen stage. It feels sooooo refreshing to play 4 good maps 2 seasons in a row (5 if counting the Mahi rework which I really like as well).
I wouldn't say it's a hot take at all to say ROM-en is the best map in the game. I'd even go so far as to say it's top 3 in the series, which serious consideration for #1
Here is my warm take: S3 map complexity and intensity has scaled from launch. I do not think this was spontaneous or a reaction, rather this was planned from the beginning.
I’m not entirely sure about blue fin. Rainmaker and clamblitz feel awful with only having the elevators to get to the goals in the spawn. I’ve never seen a knockout in those modes.
Ramen Zones: goated and one of the best Splatoon map modes ever. there actually is a one way drop to the left of base (in the court) but since it's Zones where the objective is in mid it's not the worst thing ever. just a little unfortunate if the attacking team corners someone there and there's no way to back up. Ramen Tower: I've yet to play this but it seems pretty good Ramen Clams: I like it well enough bc it's Ramen but tbh I think it's a little too attacking favoured to be amazing. it's not as snowbally as like Mako or Sturgeon clams but it's still a little too easy to score with that left block thing near the basket. Ramen Rainmaker: oof Bluefin in general I think is *almost* great on all modes (besides TC) but god I wish spawn wasn't off to one side. The map could've been amazing if spawn was more aligned in the center, so that you could easily go to a certain side of mid at about the same speed (for now going left-mid just takes a little too long and it feels bad, for me at least). For now, I think Bluefin is good but not great.
Anyways, I have a great patch idea: On 2:01, your png looks a bit… weird. It looks like there are multiple layers shown at once, as seen on the shirt and the arms.
@@Abvctr not in an ai generated way though. ai generated images often give characters 6 ormore fingers on a hand, fuse them with other body parts etc.. the hands here are just inconsistent in a way that the artist most likely just didnt have as much experience with hands. i can tell - i sometimes still struggle with hands too and ive been doing art for quite a long time.
Well namely on the happy/excited pose, the way the arms just have a mesh of skin color outside of the outline of the elbows strongly reminds me of how ai can easily make such a mistake. It's pretty much a telltale sign and I only know of it because I looked into ai generated images myself back when it was cool.@@ultravoiid
You scared me when u said, "idk if this is a crazy hot take."😥

I LOVE these new maps! I genuinely think they actually did a good job with them!
These new maps are amazing! People were saying Bluefin is ruined because they changed a tiny bit of things, but it’s really not.

Like the new editing style :)

Impo, I feel like Bluefin is quite awkward to play on. But Robo on the other hand is a pretty good stage on all modes 👍
BUT I CAN SEE PORT MACKEREL FROM BLUEFIN DEPOT AND ITS NOW HAVING A CHANCE OF COMING BACK!!

Oh yeah, thx for telling me 👍

I really like your videos, but I do wish that you would stop entirely copying Chara's thumbnail style
Your character art looks ai generated
what makes you think that? i dont really see it, theres a bunch of indicators that its not.
@@ultravoiidthe hands are inconsistent.
