I'm a Brit living in Malaysia. My Malaysian husband is totally blind.
We had a campervan dream for a while, but it died for various reasons.
However, your show has given us a new perspective.
Seeing Mariyam drive so far reminds me that I can do it. She is an inspiration.
Seeing Chris's enthusiasm for everything he eats and sees reminds me of the joy I can bring my husband, too.
This July, we are taking our Serena MPV and our tandem bike and driving from KL into 3 dates in Thailand.
    Thank you for the inspiration.

    Hi
Just like to inform you in regards to your comments about ‘those little temples’, they are actually not a temple at all but a spirit house to host any spirits that might be wandering around so they do not enter their house or homes. Usually the owners always offer them some food & flowers etc., to keep it happy outside their entrance

one related story about bowls capturing drippings from trees. in my visit to the island of cozumel off the yucatan peninsula of mexico, there was a museum. one exhibit was a story of a mister wrigley visiting from chicago USA. he had found a use for what what he was draining from trees there. it was paraffin and he came up with his brand of chewing gum from that discovery.

Interesting video today. I enjoyed watching it. Regarding that 'termite mound' - I'm uncertain if this is accurate, but I've long heard you can eat termite mounds. I was told you could break off a little piece and eat it. It's a bit sweet and savory. I understand it's very tasty, too. Perhaps viewers from Thailand know more about this. The solar chicken cooker was a great find! :>)

The large flock of birds in flight are Asian Open Bill Storks. Big waders and beautiful in flight. The large green fruit on the truck were definitely jackfruit. Durian are much more spiky. The Jackfruit inside are yellow waxy fruit which you can eat raw or use in cooking eg Jackfruit Curry. Durian are softer and creamy inside. I prefer durian to jackfruit. I am British but resident in Thailand for 18 years.
