Had a Morrie in 1973 and fitted a 3.3 L 6 cylinder Holden Engine with matching 4 Speed and stronger rear axel. Loved the reaction at the Traffic lights.
I loved my '61 Moggy! Mine was a 2-door saloon in Dove Grey (resprayed from a darker grey, but not sure what!) with a red and white/off white interior. It also had the original 'clap hands' wipers, and someone had replaced the trafficators to flashing indicators! Sadly, I was young and stupid, and managed to make it fall over one night, and caused a lot of damage, bent the roof, bent the B pillar, flattened the hump un the bonnet, and pushed the radiator onto the front of the engine! :-( But that one you have there is a real beauty! :-)
Surprisingly my father didn't have a Minor. Top Gear had a feature on the presenters' father's cars, my dad had a few cars from the 50's to the time he died in 1990. Ford Pilot Ford Prefect 100E Austin Cambridge Vanguard van Rover 90 Vauxhall Cresta E Series Triumph Mayflower Ford Anglia 100 E Zephyr Zephyr 4 MG Magnette Austin 1800 Morris 1100 Rover 2000 Lotus Cortina mkll Singer Vogue Ford Zodiac Mazda Montrose The Zodiac and the Rover 90 l think were his two favourites.
Aww MX5 mk1 vs Moggie cab... what a decision! I've never really liked the convertible but the modifications done here have really improved the look. Sits well on those 15" wheels which i guess is in part down to the suspension changes.
Tourer conversions are fine, so long as they've been done by a reputable company. The mods aren't too drastic on her, just enough to make her suitable for everyday use. They used the 'A' class engine in the Minor from 1962, so it makes sense to stick with a larger updated version of that. 👍🏻

A truly lovely car.
…perfectly suited to that nice doggie…❤!
She's a beauty. I think you've brought her up to date very sympathetically

Great video and story.
Great story, lovely looking car too 👍
Lovely car. So glad you reinstated the original side/rear lights incorporating the indicators. Never liked the later, larger lights.

Really good and has the modifications I would like to have had on my first car - 2 door 57 minor saloon back in 1973.

Looks really nice 👍🏼😊

Very cool looking little car, when you said modified though I was expecting a K series or something under the bonnet not a 1275
Very tastefully done , more instalments about your fleet please 👍
