    For number 3, I think that calling Bokoblins on the great plateau "Naive and careless" is spot on, considering these bokoblins probably haven't seen more than just a few humans in their lifetime with how hard to access the plateau is. In other words, their only combat experience is probably fighting wild animals

      Yet Link butchers them with aplomb nonetheless, even though they stand zero chance of actually encountering and hurting anyone, and even though it brings him no closer to ending the Calamity. Smh genocidal royalist super-soldiers

      Has become*😅 The greta plateau was once easily accessible, just compare the entrance to it from BotW and AoC. Over the hundered years, with all the destruction causing the entrance to fall into itself, sealing it shut and the rain every now and then, a little puddle-like baby lake came to exist where the entrance once was😂

    Speaking of Purah's flute (which is a recorder), she's designed to resemble a typical Japanese elementary student which can be commonly seen wearing the same kind of backpack (called a ranzel) along with the recorder as it is required as part of the music lesson.

  • @fireaza
    @fireaza ปีที่แล้ว +9

    2:54 That's 'cuz her design is based on a Japanese elementary schooler. She's wearing a backpack that looks like a like the "randoseru" ones that elementary kids use which are a HUGE symbol of that period in schooling. It's even red, which is the traditional color for ones used by girls. And of course, Japanese elementary kids learn the recorder.

    My favorite thing about the Hateno lab, is the faded out lines. Makes me wonder if Purah just decides to increase her side whenever she feels like it, or if her assistant just attempts to run away from her mess by cornering himself.

    • @SaulMendozaMkt
      @SaulMendozaMkt ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Most likely the 1st one. I'm guessing it was her assistant's idea to draw a line, and she kept making her side bigger and bigger every time.

    • @kivvi3798
      @kivvi3798 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't know, however:
      -I laugh noticing that it seems like the lines were drawn apparently after some paper was left on the ground either purposely or just ended up falling there...or both.
      -I also noticed how most of her stuff seems to be located at a specific corner in the lab.
      -It's interesting to note that the first observable line was already covering most of the room with purah
      -Symin's dialogues and manners are usually pretty normal and he shows a lot of respect for Purah.
      **Theory time:**
      It seems like originally, both were working on specific spots in the lab, more like "hey I'll work here and you work there, ok?"
      The middle space was just naturally agreed to be "neutral" or shared space, which perhaps, due to purah's eccentric and more energetic ways, was being mostly used by her first place.
      But as purah got smaller and her personality started to match that of a child, she probably started getting more and more immature. I can't rule out the possibility that it was the coworker who first proposed the line idea, but since it's pretty immature and childlike behavior, I believe it's more likely to be purah the one who first proposed it.
      I imagine both ended up getting into some (funny) arguing, since purah is more disorganized than her assistant (who is understandable) tidier and prefers things organized. The following conversation likely happened with more energy of "a father vs annoyed child" rather than "an assistant vs director" that ended with both agreeing with the idea of the lines to delimit their workspace. ((agreement doesn't mean both were happy about it)) In fact, it's even possible that purah was the one who got more frustrated than him with this lol
      However, due to purah increasing her mess, I honestly don't have any idea if it was the assistant who ended up shortening his space as she kept increasing her mess; if it was her who started getting angry at him who was trying to clean up the space and she proceeds to increase her space; (my text is already a wall, nobody is going to read it, so at this point I do the bad puns I want to do, and nobody will stop me)
      or even if it was something on the lines of:
      "your paperwork seems to be in my space"
      (could you please pick it up)
      "what. oh, silly Symin"
      *animation play, showing purah proceeding to increase The Line That Limits The Border Of Disorder
      "..."
      "that wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but I guess that will do it"
      Obs: my commentary is way too long, so I probably will overthink about this and delete it in about 1 to 2 days

    • @AbeM.
      @AbeM. ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @Moshugaani
      @Moshugaani ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like option 2 better! :D
      I don't think Purah cares about separate workspaces, but organization seems to be very important to Symin. So I think Symin had enough of Purah making a mess of the whole lab, and the separation line was his attempt at getting a clean workspace for himself. :D But of course Purah's mess was constantly overflowing to Symin's side. :---)

    • @ryanbuck7483
      @ryanbuck7483 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The lines are almost certainly Purah's decision. Note that the writing is readable from her side. This suggests she is writing. If Symin decided any of this, we'd see the label for his side written from his perspective. I'm guessing this is a power move to some degree, both because she is the head scientist and because of her childish personality.

    They say that Zora age slowly compared to other Hyrulean races, but that's only really true for Humans and Rito.
    The Sheikah live to over a century, so less than the Zora, but some live for multiple millennia, as demonstrated both at the start and the end of the timeline with Skyward Sword Impa and the 144 Sheikah Monks. No mortal race can compare to that.
    The Gorons live for indeterminately long periods of time. Daruk was a Goron Elder and 100 years later his grandson is a youth. The Wind Waker Gorons get that Link confused with the Hero of Time they knew from centuries ago. In Oracle of Ages, the first and fifth generation of Graceful Gorons occur 400 years apart. One Goron's grandfather was around to run a different minigame 400 years in the past. Even more on the nose is the Goron Prophet, who is found both in the present and 400 year in the past.
    Even the Koroks don't seem to bother with ageing, at least not as much. Compare Age of Calamity Hestu with Breath of the Wild Hestu. I don't know when he was 2 year old but it was a long time ago.

    Number 3 is a super interesting point and I love it! I also find it curious that we, the player are equally naive and clueless to combat and these creatures so it's likely for a first time player the flaws in their camps goes unnoticed leading to sloppier planned attacks, and thus evening out the playing field for both parties ~
    Good observation! I wonder if it was intentional 🤔

    Don't wanna start the same old arguments, but it really is something how fewer unique models BotW has compared even to the N64 games. The game is in some ways very deep, yet in adjacent ways puddle-shallow. Its sequel has a real chance of blowing this one out of the water if they go harder in story and progression, and I hope that's what they've been up to, but as it started as DLC, I'm skeptical

    Another cool thing: the correct adjective is in fact Hylian, not Hyrulean. Hence you have a Hylian shield and not a Hyrulean shield.
    And one more cool thing: Epona is named after a Celtic goddess who was the protector of horses, donkeys, mules and ponies.

    • @hylianevalink
      @hylianevalink ปีที่แล้ว

      Hyrulean is in fact used quite a few time in games, it's just inconsistent, but I like using Hyrulean as a whole and Hylian for the species, I think the Hylian Shield is a bad exemple as I think it's like a Rito shield, or a Zoran shield: it's built by Hylians and is made for Hylians, so it's called Hylian for the species, not as in "shield from Hyrule"

    • @Hylian_Reploid
