Theres this one glitch if whenever you switch shields right before hitting the ground while shield surfing it won't take the durability and it wil be shiny clean. If you do this like every 3 seconds then you'll be able to ride shields without using any durability. Good for people with collectors anxiety! (joke) Founded by me. (All you have to do is jump on the shield, right before you hit switch, jump, right before you hit switch.)

I discovered the ore thing by accident a couple years ago. I was fighting some Moblins near the Akkala Lab, and I missed a shot with my bow. The arrow hit an ore deposit right beside the Moblin, causing sparks to fly and set his wooden spear on fire. That's just one mindblowing detail in a continuous stream of discoveries hidden within this game. I'm at 900 hours across 3 playthroughs, and I still discover something new in BotW on a weekly, if not daily, basis. It's insane.

As an extra, you can make the shock traps larger by adding metal weapons to them. The more weapons, the larger the trap. You can even make a shock-fire trap by adding a flameblade and a chuchu jelly!
just wondering what does adding a chuchu jelly provide different in effect/function for if you could clarify, never thought to use one before with flame
I have 1000+ hours in this game and feel like I’ve watched hundred of TH-cam videos about the game and I still didn’t know some of these really shows how insanely detailed this game is
I love how in the test of strength shrine with water in it, if you use cryosis at just the right time under the guardian when it's spin charging you, you can launch it in the air like a spinning frisbee of doom.
The reason this game is so amazing is that the devs put so much work into making it that most people don’t think about, with stuff like the sounds and the keese wings.
the farming one is so helpful, the shied surfing one made my jaw drop imagining the speed you could potentially achieve, and the tree backflip is actually insanely useful, could save your life.
Approximately 30 mins ago, I watched one of the More Things You Still Didn’t Know series, and saw that you could glitch through Lost Woods. Exactly in 8 on THIS video, it was shown thatthere is a beehive in Lost Woods that will never be discovered or even collected. That is why I genuinely adore this series. Thanks GameSpot.
omg I just got the game this week and I'm so overwhelmed by the amount of content this game has, I'm trying to not look at these videos too much cause it's making it worse but damn what a masterpiece
The bomb thing with the dead animals, and the mouse trap like contraption. I had no clue about those. I didn’t know a few other ones but those are the ones that stood out to me the most.
Using an ice rod to quick farm apples is genius! I’d already learned I can use a shock arrow in the water to get the rushrooms from under that one bridge, but I didn’t even think to extend that to other elements let alone the rod. Thanks!
Dude this game never stops to amaze me. I still can't believe this game came out March 3rd, 2017 (4 years, 2 months, 12 days ago) I still play it to this day too, in fact I was going to boot it up yesterday but Mario Kart 8D was begging for some attention.
I didn't know most of this stuff and I've literally been playing the game for 4 years straight, the amount of detail and obscure things to learn in this game is astonishing
I can’t believe how it people STILL find new stuff in this game. We’ll get BotW2 in about a year (hopefully), and people still haven’t discovered every piece of code in this one
1. I thought people knew this, but 4/5 of my friends didn’t know you can buy pictures for your compendium in Hateno instead of taking them. 2. Although the attack of the Master Sword is 2x when fully awakened, durability (hits before it needs to recharge) is increased 4.7x! 3. The loot you get from chopping off the legs of stalker guardians is not part of their main loot pool. Meaning, chopping all the legs before killing will always get you more parts than simply killing them. 3. Guardians still drop parts if killed with ancient arrows, unlike every other enemy that just vanish into oblivion. This is a very fast way to farm ancient cores in castle town from stalkers and efficient as long as you only use one arrow per kill which can be done with 3x bows if you have trouble getting eye shots. You can keep this going indefinitely since they drop the actual parts that are used to craft those ancient arrows. 4. And not a secret but a general tip. I actually did the math on this. Rare (not the other types) Stone Talus drop an average of 1,350 rupees worth of gems and take 30 seconds to kill. Add them to your map and do a rotation every blood moon, and that’s about 15,000 per blood moon if you kill them all. Moldugas drop about the same (in the form of guts and fins that you cook in the form of 4x molduga parts and 1x critter). That’s another 5,500 rupees per moon.
I don't know why, but as soon as i started playing it i could never get my eyes off it, i'm addicted to this game, its so interesting to find out new things, and its so mysterious, and fun i love this game thank you Nintendo.
I never see this tip mentioned in TH-cam videos or the BOTW subreddit, so here goes : You can use the Stasis rune as a life sensor. If you want to know which guardians are dormant and which ones are really ruined and won't attack you, you can turn on the stasis rune and it will highlight which guardians are really ruined and which ones aren't. This also works if you want to spot Lizalfos trying to camouflage in the distance.
There are some decayed guardians that you can drag using a metal object and magnesis. Drag them far enough and they will dump infinite parts. If you flip them right side up, they will stop dropping inf parts. Put them right side up before you open your menu, or your gsme will crash. Make sure you stop moving them when they start dropping as well.
Big time Devs need to make quality games like this all the time. The replayability of BoTW and the overall first time experience is what makes this game legendary like OoT and SM64
In the French version of the game, the people at the stables have sometimes names related to horses. For example, the children in the stable next to the Great Bridge of Tabanta are named Kah, Nah and Son. If you combine their names and change a little bit the spelling, you have the word "Canasson" which is a synonym of the French word for horse (cheval)
