This video is your sign to get rid of all of those plastic bins that you’re currently using as your dresser lol 🙈 Think about upcycling hand-me-down furniture and how you can personalize them to suit your young adult aesthetic, especially on a budget!
Hi Julie this is the perfect vlog timing for me as my daughter has asked me to redecorate her bedroom this year for her birthday. She wants a more grown up room so the pink is going! Thank you for these great tips which I will definitely use. Lots of love from 🇬🇧
Hi Julie! Never bought kids furniture except for crib converted to toddler bed. After that high quality twin mattress and box springs. Furniture in kids room was always something I hope they will take with them in future ! So it is good quality wood furniture from the start. Even the rugs are high quality hope they want them rugs. It’s easier to transition when you start this way. Kids should have their own imprint but dressers nightstands are not part of that. They can choose seating bedding paint colors lighting etc. fun times ahead for you I can hear those design wheels spinning! I like the Phillips strip lights. I can choose any color I want. Stay pretty ! ❤🥰Margaret
Hi Julie. I really enjoyed this video even if I am not redoing my teen's room! I love the comment about how interior design is not just about creating a Pinterest bedroom but organization! Also not having matchy-matchy furniture which is what I have in my bedroom and both my daughter's bedrooms! One question is how do you choose bedroom furniture if you purchase online? Just like shopping for clothes, I want to touch the furniture, open drawers, etc. I see so many dressers online for Wayfair, Etsy and Casterly that I think I love but in person it might feel different. Thanks for your advice!
Hi Julie. Graat tips. I'd love to see a video on how to coordinate coffee tables, end tables & entertainment center. Do the have to be the same sets? Thx!!
I’m not a fan of matchy-matchy so my answer would be no Joy. Check out my videos on best coffee tables and best media consoles for more tips and details 👍😊
This is great! My son will be going to college next year. And we can use his bedroom as an extra “guest room,” but still keeping it primarily as his own bedroom for when he returns home. It’s not like we’re kicking him out.Lol😂 Do you have suggestions on inexpensive, stylish ways to display his jersey/uniform on his wall? Currently, he just has command hooks with the jersey hung on a plastic hanger 😬, please help!😂
😂 it’s functional for now lol. I love using a metal curtain rod with a rope pulled through to hang the uniform/ jersey on the wall. Measure the width from one open arm hole to the other and source the smallest curtain rod to accommodate the width 👍
Julie, would you do a video on a bedroom with siblings sharing a room with a great age difference. We need ideas for a bedroom for boys and one for girls who share a small space.thanks
I love this idea for shared spaces Terri! You’re right, the age difference is usually the biggest challenge. Will line it up, thank you for watching 🙏😊
Can you shift the bed so it’s beside the column? If not, I would simply move the bed in front of the column and drape the back wall to conceal the negative space
So good.. lots of kids going to college so lots of families trying to decide what to do with their rooms! Theirs when they are home but can be appropriate for guests when they are away.

My daughter had a hand in choosing paint color, accessories, decor and artwork for her room. The high end furniture is all mama 😂

I have a small bedroom and in the command position for the bed I have a column -of 10cm x 30 cm- behind. How can I fix this?
